Red Rocket Coffee on Danforth East of Linsmore Crescent, is a cozy busy locale attended to by friendly staff serving their signature potent coffee along with delicious pound cake (as pictured). A small patio space outside provides the al fresco touch.
I have had the red rocket and the moon Blondie. The place is a bit expensive though. But for one time away from the regular chains... this is a good option
I dropped in after work to catch up with a friend. It's literally steps from the Greenwood subway station. There are all kinds of seating inside. I ordered their Red Rocket signature coffee. I didn't realized that they already had some sugar in it when I added a couple of scoops of extra sugar to it. It had a bold taste. On Thursday nights, there is trivia night where a host will read various questions for you to write down. You can play as a team per table. After 24 questions we scored a big fat zero! They're tough. On Fridays they have Coloring night and Saturday is Movie night. Lots of fun interaction happening in this intimate coffee shop. Well done.
This is an amazing experience each time I go. The treats are baked in house, and the coffee is always right. Great job Red Rocket for taking care of your people, it shows. They are always super pleasant, and I can't wait to go back.
New Location, Same Great Taste. Since moving to Danforth, Red Rocket Coffee has gotten better. Sandwiches are made fresh. Baked treats are tempting. They just got a liquor permit and now serve beer and wine after 11am. The scones are worth the trip. The coffee is top quality and I've never had a beverage I didn't like. Look for cartoons done by one of the baristas.
Love all the cool drinks and friendly staff!
Outstanding coffee and baked goods!. By far, among the best cups of coffee I've ever had! Smooth, rich, chocolately espresso without any trace of bitterness. I'm usually a fairly heavy sugar user but that's because coffee elsewhere is bitter. I always get the Cubano latte (brown sugar mixed in with the coffee grounds) and it's simply delectable. Baked goods are fantastic ... but special mention goes to their breakfast cornmeal muffin with a hard-boiled egg baked right into it! Yum! I just wish they were open late in the summer (they close at 7PM) when it would be great to walk over and have a late night decaf latte. But they're open early, so I appreciate that they'd like to have a life as well! If you're driving by or in the neighbourhood, definitely worth stopping in for!
Like it. Nice coffee shop on Queen East. The staff is friendly and the coffee is excellent. Will definitely go back.
Best Coffee on Queen St.. What a gorgeous little café! The owner's of this shop are such nice, friendly folks. Nothing pretentious about this trendy café, though the coffee from Reunion Island is as good as any of the "coffee snob" hangouts around town. Their pastries are unique and oh so good.
Mmm.... What else can I say?! Everything at Red Rocket is delicious, from the aroma of the freshly brewed Reunion Island coffee to the taste of their incredible pastries and desserts. Be sure to try the cornmeal muffin with hard-boiled egg baked inside. Sounds weird...taste incredible!!
