After hearing the most incredible reviews about Goods & Provisions, I finally made it there! WOO! A cozy venue with low lighting and a relaxed vibe, tapas style. The focal point is the large bar with marble countertops and decorated with candles. They are high top tables, bar seating as well as regular tables.

Best oysters I've ever had in Toronto. Great tapas bar.
Sampled most of the menu and loved everything. Their croquettas, the oysters, and the fish with watermelon salad was absolutely amazing.
The food portions are small, which allows you to order a variety of menu items for sampling. The flavours are rich, and the textures very diverse. The food looks almost as good as it tastes.
The waiting staff and bar tenders are very friendly. Service is prompt. And when there are delays, they are quick to inform you and adjust accordingly. Our waitress quickly told us about the delay on our 2nd order of oysters (they were that good!) but informed us that even though we would get the oysters after 8pm, she'd make sure we still got them half price.
I would definitely recommend this place to anyone that has an adventurous palate and for anyone who loves tapas.
My only complaint is that the place was just so damn dark. I guess they're going for a romantic ambiance. Either way, I'd definitely go back.

Delicious. I wasn't expecting much when I passed by this place the other day with my wife only because the menu was very limited as far as dinner entrees. But we decided to go in, have a drink and a bite. The menu is full of homemade cocktails (with fancy bitters and such). We ordered olives to start off, you could tell they were high quality olives. They were served cold which I might have liked them more if they were warm. But nonetheless, they were good. My wife ordered the special - Strip loin (grassfed) served with bone marrow and potatoes. I had the other special - Soft-shelled crab over linguine. Let me tell you, the beef was unreal. So juicy, tasty, cooked to perfection. My meal was just ok. I probably wouldn't order it again as the soft-shelled crab was small and too buttery. However, the beef was so amazing that I am drooling thinking of it right now. Really cool place. I was pleasantly wrong after thinking I wouldn't like the place prior to going in.
And one more thing, the service was fantastic. Our server really showed enthusiasm when talking about the menu and the restaurant.
Absolutely Excellent Meal and Service at Goods and Provisions. We were a large group in the restaurant last night. We had arranged to have the chef, Brad, bring out a few courses of his very creative servings. We were ALL very pleased with the chef's selections throughout the meal. The dishes were imaginative, well plated, correctly sized and above all, delicious! The service was unparalleled, as both servers were very knowledgable, attentive, pleasant and efficient. Everyone in my group (all from Ottawa) expressed a desire to return to Goods and Provisions again. The meal was delightful; starting with charcuterie and cheeses, then calms and chorizo in an exquisite broth, moving to pesto gnocchi, scallops and pork bellies, then a fantastic steak with perfectly-cooked medley of vegetables and a salad. To top it off, the chef knocked it out of the ballpark with a brilliant, mint creme brûlée. We absolutely the food service and the decor in this Leslieville establishment.
Food amazing, service just okay. We went the other night and really had a fantastic dinner. We ordered the oysters, steak sandwich, caesar salad, shrimp and sausage dish, and a couple of cocktails. The cocktails were pretty ordinary but the food was really, really good. The service wasn't great -- cocktails arrived much later than our oysters, and the waitress kept getting our order mixed up with another table -- but when the food is good (and not overpriced), I am willing to overlook that. One thing, though -- it is super dark in there. Bring your reading glasses :)
We love this place - it has a cool Brooklyn vibe, kitschy (in a good way) decor, an stellar food. We visited on a Friday night at 8 and it was hopping. The service was attentive but not overbearing. The pan seared Brussels sprouts were absolutely amazing - beautifully caramelized and fresh tasting. The ribs (Friday night's BBQ Special) were fall-off-the-bone tender and subtly smokey. Interesting and creative drinks - including several bourbon offerings and a Dark-n-Stormy that actually uses Bermuda's own Black Seal rum and legitimate ginger beer. Yum! We will definitely be back.
Amazing customer service. Something went wrong and they fixed it very nicely. Delicious food. Delicious whiskey-based cocktails. This is one of my favourite places.
I love this place. Really different kinds of food that are prepared perfectly. Fine dining on comfort food. Blood pudding, bone marrow, duck fat fries, Korean fried chicken, oysters! The list goes on and is grand. A favourite. Great bourbon menu too. Super easy going staff.
100% Recommend. Great atmosphere, great service, great drinks, great food, reasonable price = 100% recommend. When you walk in it's like you step back in time. Very quaint and comfortable. We were lucky enough to get a seat in the open air window at the front of restaurant. The staff was both friendly and knowledgeable. The bar tender takes his craft very seriously and it shows in the quality of his mixed drinks. I had a whiskey sour that he served with marinated cherries and it was tip top! We tried a few things including the 'buck & shuck' oysters, soft shell crab salad (very generous portion of crab btw), and the terrine board. Everything was excellent. This will become a regular spot when we're anywhere near The Beeches!
A nice addition to Leslieville. A great space to have a relaxed and tasty dinner.
There's buck a shuck oysters from 6 - 7 on Tues, Wed and Thursday. 2 kinds and both were fresh and salty.
Other things we had:
- the smoked pork platter (2 ribs, beans, pulled pork slider with coleslaw) and the homemade BBQ sauce was fantastic
- soft shell crab salad was also terrific - nice homemade dressing
- nice wines by the glass selection
