Friendly and fast service. The food is so yummy. The bread is always so good, and the menu always has surprises. They are always accommodating to menu adjustments. Try the smoked salmon dishes for a change, you won't be sorry. The classic breakfast is always a favorite with me, as well as the BLT. Its nice to have the chicken bacon option as well.
Just went to Hollandaise Diner for New Year's Day brunch. I highly recommend it. The food was excellent, service was so friendly (not hipster snarly- refreshing)
After a bit of a wait for a table- it was packed- we were served right away and the eggs, cooked perfectly, I might add, were so worth the wait.
I will be going back... soon!! :)
We visited Hollandaise for a Sunday brunch, the place is not big, so you may have to wait for a table depending on the time you get there. But it's worth it! The coffee was really tasty, strong and rich. The food was great too, I had a classic breakfast while my husband ordered on of the many Benedict combinations. The service was quick and the staff was friendly! ❤️
Hollandaise Diner is this sweet little oasis from the crazy traffic and psycho wind that was raging outside the day we went for brunch. Right away I realized they may actually have the best decaffeinated coffee I have ever had.
I accidentally ordered my own unique version of The Great Canadian Breakfast Poutine. Knowing that everything can be potentially slathered with Hollandaise sauce I ordered my poached egg medium well. I was then informed it did not come with a poached egg but if I wanted one, then I could have one. My sisters insisted that I have it the way I want it because it was my birthday!
Both of my sisters ordered a more traditional diner-stye breakfast and loved it. Then, all of a sudden... A beautiful complimentary birthday pancake complete with funfetti was delivered to our table!
That pancake was crisp on the outside, fluffy on the inside and I swooned over the poutine. In fact it totally took me back to the days our mom would make us her cheesy potatoes. Every bite of mushroom, potato, bacon, sausage, cheese slathered with that poached egg with Hollandaise sauce made me feel at home. Comfort food galore!
Not only that but our server was super sweet and kind. Everything was perfect. The food was delicious, the place was cozy and warm and the service was out of this world. I honestly can not think of one bad thing to say about it at all and considering what I was going through at the time… They even wished me happy birthday on Instagram!

This isn’t any old brunch spot: this diner specializes one of my all time favourite dishes — eggs benedict. The coffee? Pretty good, hot and bottomless at a buck-ninety-nine, which is always a major plus for brunch, especially at that price! If you love eggs benedict even as half as much as I do, head to Hollandaise Diner. Super reasonably priced for brunch in Toronto, a variety of hollandaise, and neighbourly service.
Nice breakfast place... Not very big so expect a line up at the busy times. Had the Croque madame and the smoked salmon Benny. Not greasy, Quite tasty, fresh ingredients and good home fries (I'm a sucker for those). Coffee just OK. Service was friendly and relaxed. Will return to try the other menu options.
Such a great new neighbourhood gem! My husband and I had been talking for weeks about having brunch here and finally did and we can't wait until the next time!
There is a great selection of choices on the menu but we couldn't pass up the make your own Benny option. You choose your base, meat/veggie and type of hollandaise sauce. This was such a great option as you could really customize your breakfast to your own taste buds.
Staff were super friendly, service was quick and prices were fair.
I had breakfast here with my girlfriend on Saturday morning. I ordered The Cajun which included a baked polenta, sautéed Cajun spice peppers, poached eggs, onions, Cajun spiced hollandaise sauce, and fresh chives ($13). A very delicious breakfast! My GF had The Classic w/ Peameal ($10) and was equally satisfied. We definitely recommend.
