Went here for dinner on a weeknight the place was relatively quiet. We started with a garlic shrimp appetizer and grilled calamari. Both were absolutely fantastic, really loved the grilled veggies with capers and onions the came with the grilled calamari.
For dinner my friend and I shared a platter of shrimp and Portobello fettuccine with one of the best rosé sauces I've ever had and veal cutlets served with a mushroom sauce vegetables and pasta which was also good.
The service was quite good prices are reasonabke we had absolutely no complaints about this place and we will definitely go back.
Unplanned visit by a party of four on a Friday for dinner as our originally intended restaurant was packed.
We ordered one Appetizer Platter, Seafood Creole, Shrimp & Mussels, Chicken Parmigiano and Chicken Carbonara. Overall, the food was very good, the portions were filling and the seafood to pasta ratio was fair.
We sat on the patio outside which was quite basic so, we can't comment much on ambiance but, inside it looks more on the "fancy" side.
Service was very friendly but, not flawless for sure; and, I would say that it was a bit slow for a not-so-busy night.
This super popular Italian place serves a pretty big range of food but our group of six didn't try anything remarkable. Serving sizes are huge and the flavours are good, just not really memorable. A good handful of veggie options. Lots of kids and families around though there are quieter nooks
Reopened!!! Yaaay!!!! This restaurant is on Willowdale just north of Shepard Ave.
So glad they've re- opened. Best Italian food around. I have trouble choosing between the pasta with shrimps and scallops or the veal. Both are cooked fresh and with generous portions always a winner. Great for takeout, too. Parking is easy can always find a spot across the street or in their lot. Service was so friendly waiters( waitresses) stopped by to make sure we were happy. They have sharpened up the decor, but food is as good as always. They are not affiliated with the one on York mills, where it is impossible to park and the food was so so. Also VERY noisy. Love the original restaurant.
Very good Italian joint. Everything I've had taste good. Veal parm is huge. Kid friendly. The best part is the price and portions. Highly recommend
There were nine of us that came here for lunch and all of us enjoyed our meals.
I had the seafood creole. It was packed with seafood. The linguine picked up the delicious sauce so well. I was pretty full but I had to finish my meal because I really enjoyed it.
There arent very many Italian Restaurants in North York anymore but Paisano's s still located on Willowdale after 50 years. My friend was immediately turned off by the interior of the restaurant but we all left satisfied with the quality of the food this place is stuck in time but nothing a good makeover and better lighting couldnt fix.

Some people know that I like trying different places, and that I avoid going back to the same restaurant, just so that I can continue trying different places. Paisano's is one of those exceptions. It seems that I end up here a few times a year, for family birthday lunches and dinners, or with high school friends (from many, many years ago!). Yesterday was one of those high school friends occasions.
Paisano's does Italian food right. They have been around for about 50 years (originally at Bayview Village for about 20 years, before they moved to Willowdale Avenue location). Although the original owners are not around, the quality of food and service continue. This is not fine dining, nor does it need to be. It is good Italian food, with good portion sizes, with reasonable prices.
SWMBO loves their Chicken Parmigiana, and I returned to my favourite Eggplant Parmigiana. Yum!
Absolutely loved it ! I have had plenty of authentic Italian pastas but by far my favourite place for Italian food ! I will most definitely be back.
I love this place. I've been coming here for years (7+). My parents have thrown many large functions here, wether it be a surprise birthday or a confirmation.
The food is always amazing. They just did some renos over the past little bit with the restrooms and have added a handicap washroom.
The place is jam packed no matter what time you go- just showing how good this place is. So don't complain if you go a Friday or Saturday night and have to wait. That's not the restaurants fault.
My favorite go to dish is the Italian salad and the spicy penne. I'm a vegetarian and this restaurant divides up the menu in vegetarian, meat, or fish- wether it be the pizza or pasta.
Excellent choice for lunch or dinner.
