This Thai restaurant is one of my favourites: It used to be on Bloor Street by Walmer and then it moved slightly to the west of Bathurst. The current outlet is spacious, with reasonably priced tasty menus served by courteous staff. Pictured are the delicious starters of cold veg rolls
One of the best Thai food in Toronto, Quality is very good, good portion size, fresh tasting and very flavorful.
Price - reasonable price for the quality and portion you are getting.
Service - excellent, very attentive. The food came out at a reasonable time.
Overall - highly recommend this place, you won't be disappointed!
I've loved this place since they were located at Spadina. Really friendly staff and good food. They are careful about allergies too! First place I got Thai in Toronto and it will always be my go-to spot.
I'm sure every U of T student has been to the previous Bloor/Spadina location, whether for dine-out, takeout or delivery. Yup, it's the same place -- just that it's moved to Bloor and Bathurst now. Look, their lunch specials are unreal. The portions are generous, the price is excellent, and the pad thai melts in your mouth. But I really need to check out their weekend buffet...
Delicious + Great Value. This is a Toronto Thai food staple, and for good reason. The food and service are both good, and the daily lunch special cannot be beat for the value. For $7.95 you get a soup or salad and an entree with spring rolls. The best dish here is the panang kai - cashew nut chicken. The thai spicy noodle with beef is also great, and the classics (green curry chicken, pad thai) are solid. I've catered a couple of parties from here and the value was unbelievable.
Great Pad Thai just ask for more coriander and lime ;)
Excellent place!. Real Thai is one of the best Thai restaurants you can find downtown. The lunch special is a steal - many options available at very low prices. My favorite is the vegetarian pad thai which comes with either the soup of the day or a mango salad and 2 spring rolls with a delicious tangy sauce for just $5.99. Warm hospitality and great service + food is delicious, best pad thai ive tasted! Must go :)
The Radner Talay is great.
Neighbourhood fav - great selection, quick service. Best on the menu are shrimp in coconut peanut sauce and yellow curry noodles. Xo.
Real Thailand Restaurant is a mid-sized restaurant serving the standard Thai dishes at affordable prices. A majority of the dishes on the menu are under $10.00 each. The green mango salad ($7.95) was appetizing; consisting of fresh veggies, crispy mango slices and the potion was generous. I have never tried the tom yum goong ($7.95), so I decided to ordered it this time around. Tom yum goong is a widely served spicy and sour soup in Thailand. I thought that the soup had a nice balance of being both spicy and soup. However, the portion was a little skimpy as my bowl only had two pieces of shrimps, and the rest were pretty much all noodles and veggies. The pad thai ($8.95) was a little disappointing as it tasted rather sweet. It lacked the piquant tastes of hot peppers. I had to requests for extra peppers as my pad thai was not spicy at all. I don't recommend the pad thai here unless you're not a fan of spices. In my opinion; I thought that the service was far superior compared to the food itself. The servers were attentive and friendly, without being too intrusive. Overall, I was full from my meal and had an OK experience at Real Thailand Restaurant.
