Maizal has incredible quality food at incredibly reasonable prices. The no-flour corn tortillas are hands down the best I've ever had 🙌 I can't eat other tortillas now. Gaby, Ivan and Vero share a righteous dedication to local, zero-waste, healthy and authentic Mexican food. I am so happy a place like this exists in Toronto.
A friend told me that I needed to try this place out.. I went today and it was by far the most flavourful and authentic Mexican food in Toronto. I have been dying to find a place that does it like I remember in my travels to Mexico City.. The Smell and taste are exactly the same. This food is made with love and it shows, Hand Made Tortillas, real Oaxaca Cheese, Killer Guacamole..what more can you ask for?? I was please with the staff and their service and will be back in a few days when I wake up from my Quesadilla Coma ! Do yourself a favour.. try this place out.. NOW!!!

I hated mexican food before going here. The food was great. It's a small restaurant and always packed. The tacos were homemade and was soo delicious. The only drawback was waited almost an hr after dinner was done to pay bill. It was horrible. But food wise wanna go back.
This family run restaurant is at one of the location @ liberty village. Quite place with great food and simple ambience. We tried 1/2 guacamole 1/2 frijoles Entradas. Tortilla chips were really great and crispy. Frijoles dip (beans cheese chipotle) was something different and loved a lot. In main course we ordered sopes & chile poblano, Mushroom Ezapote quesadilla. It's amazing to know that they use organic ingredients and are really fresh. There tortilla are out of the world and have never tried something like this. Would recommend this place to try home style Mexican food.
Consistently one of the best food experiences I have had in Toronto. The guacamole is mind-blowing, a must have. Fresh, authentic, and mouth-pleasing -- there is not one miss on their tight and highly focused menu. Try going near close to get the last batch of #horchata (end of batch is highly prized by the staff because it contains all the settled and highly concentrated deliciousness ).
This is easily the best Mexican food I have had in this city, and one of the best restaurant experiences I've had anywhere near this price range. Maizal is affordable and incredibly delicious. Their ingredients are impeccably well-sourced, healthy and whole, and everything has a story. Eat here!
Love this place! Probably the best fish tacos we've ever had. My hubby decided to try the Horchata and I'm glad he did! So good. It's like a thinned down almond milk with a hint of cinnamon. My Sangria was perfect and the 1/2 Guac - 1/2 Frijoles appetizer couldn't be better. Service was great and the decor is charming.
It was our first time and we went on recommendation from a colleague. The atmosphere was great service was too. And the food even better! Had a glass if sangria as well and will get a pitcher next time! Highly recommend.
This place has by far the best Mexican food I've ever tasted. I been here several times now and the food is consistently fresh and delicious... And the prices are also very reasonable. It's a must in Toronto!
Excellent quality gluten free food. The quesadillas are amazing. The chicken pibil was my favorite. The horchata, jamaica and tamarindo drinks were all delicious. The decor is very inviting. A great place for a quick bite for lunch or dinner.
