We were looking for a spot that does some type of breakfast for lunch on a Monday. This spot had omelettes, cooked nicely, lots of options and freshly squeezed orange juice. You have to go up to the counter to order, which didn’t give you a lot of time to look at the menu. The waitress also ignored my husband while he waited to order. The spot was also busy with small tables close together. Overall the food was good and the service was ok. A bit pricy, but seems pretty in line with the area
It's healthy, the food is always high quality and delicious, good portions and a bright and cheerful atmosphere. Okay it can get a bit busy and noisy but that doesn't bother me.
I tried their fish taco during the taste of the danforth, and it was quite delicious. The fish was fried haddock, that was topped with fresh toppings like lettuce and salsa, with a special sauce, wrapped in a soft tortilla.
Just gonna say this. Try the avacodo crepe with the ham and white cheese! Drooooool.
Never a bad meal. Been many times. The food is very fresh. Nicoise salad is the best!
Good quality freshness. I really love Mocha Mocha for it's food. The service is very confusing. You have to order up front and stare at a chalkboard that has many options, while feeling the pressure of others waiting behind you. I somehow always feel rushed. they would really benefit from proper table service and real menus. I always come back for the food. It is healthy ,fresh and reasonable, but often have order envy of others around me because I don't get a chance to consider the menu fully! Hopefully after repeat visits I will learn the menu and find new favourites!
Under-Appreciated. This is a great little restaurant. It's easy to overlook it, given that it sits between loud pubs and greek restaurants spilling patios all around it. And you have to personally run the gantlet of chicken wings and slovaki to get there, so it takes some personal fortitude. But when your personal integrity permits, you arrive at Mocha Mocha to find that it has an excellent menu of very healthful and satisfying meals. The food is of excellent quality and the people are nice.
This is a terrific lunch place that has been around for 20 years. A very eclectic menu from #fish #tacos to North African #chicken then back to crepes filled with ham and covered in melted cheese. I am often there for a big bowl warm brown rice salad with loads of veggies and an addictive dressing. Fun cookies and bars to finish off.

Mocha Mocha is an extremely popular, family-friendly café in the heart of Greektown. They have been serving up healthy food and healthy portions since 1991. “Owners Marijan and Mercedes Tripkovic have blended their multi-cultural heritage along with their experience in the hospitality industry to create Mocha Mocha.”Mocha Mocha is where my wife and I would go to eat after our daughter’s Rainbow Songs classes. It’ll forever hold a special place in my heart. It seems I’m not the only one… strollers and mat-leavers abound, in search of a healthy lunch and a place to exchange new-mom stories.
There are a half-dozen salads available at any one time, and their house vinaigrette is available pre-packaged to take home. I tend to lean towards their sandwich menu; my current favourites being the Clubhouse or their made-to-order Egg Salad. If I’m really hungry I’ll add the Soup of the Day; however, most items come with a side salad so I’m rarely left wanting more.Not feeling like a soup, salad or sandwich? Mocha Mocha has a number of hot specials that rotate daily.
Some of the menu stalwarts include Chicken Quesadillas, Fish Tacos and, perhaps my favourite, East African Chicken Stew (which comes with rice & salad). There are also a number of baked goods & freshly-brewed coffee available if dessert is more your thing.Many of you reading this have probably eaten here. For those who aren’t yet in the know, you gotta check this place out. Not convinced? I happen to know a couple who travel all the way from Avenue Road and Lawrence once a week to order takeout for dinner. It’s really that good. File this place under the “healthy” section, Some might say it’s about time;)
I am very much impressed by this restaurant. The food is so good and the quantity is just perfect. I highly recommend it for those who are looking for for tasty and yet healthy food. The price is moderate and worth every bit of it. I have tried almost every item on the menu and they were all great. The ambiance is warm and casual.
