This place was amazing! Delicious and friendly staff. I'm from Chicago and this place was recommended to me and I highly recommend it to anyone else looking to get some poutine
When you're 18 beer deep, and you want a delicious box of yum and awesome, this is the place to go. I ordered a simple bacon poutine and had it within 8 minutes, devoured it within 6. Perfect drunk food, even if you're vegan. Even vegans can't say no to this. If they do they're liars! Top notch service, clean environment.
wielkie porcje, praktycznie nie do zjedzenia ale w smaku naprawdę dobre. polecam kurczaka z chilli oraz wieprzowine z bekonem. miła obsluga i ciekawy wystrój wnętrza.
What is the Ohhh Canada Poutine made out of it? It creatively tops all of the infamous Canadian items onto the traditional poutine. Get ready for it. It features their original GASTRONOMICAL poutine piled high with two types of bacon, French toast sticks, and maple syrup!!!!
Finally managed to taste poutine from Smoke's!Fortunate that they have some vegetarian options. The staff was patient enough to run through the options and also added that most options can be made vegetarian by changing the gravy to veg.We opted for veg rainbow take away.It was delicious with the fries not too soggy and warm enough.
Quick, efficient and tasty! Poutine's are great and absolutely love the cheese curd. I had a nachos sauce on my poutine and my 3.5 year daughter love it too. Definitely unique and definitely must visit food experience.
This spot serves up some of the best poutines in the city. The menu has the classics – beef, pork and chicken – topped with Smoke’s signature chicken gravy, Canadian potatoes (skins on) and Quebec cheese curds. Smoke’s also has a vegetarian version of their poutine which also has a very tasty vegetarian gravy. Yum Yum!
I almost always get the same thing whenever we go to Smoke's (which is fairly often - a little less than once a month, maybe) - Wow size Veggie Rainbow with extra cheese curds.
If you're going for a specialty poutine that includes Sriracha in the description, don't be surprised if there is actually WAY too much Sriracha on your poutine. I would say most of the time there is way more hot sauce than any normal person could want on their food. Like, I'm not a little baby. I get that there are people out there that like extra, extra Sriracha but not everyone is like that.
It really varies. The quality of your poutine can be amazing one day (the perfect mix of crunchy yet tender fries, fresh curds, hot gravy), and mediocre the next (soggy fries, meh curds, smothered in too much Sriracha and not enough guac). When the poutine is great, it's really great. When it's not so great, it's still pretty darn good.
The last time I went I asked the cashier to go easy on the hot sauce. It was less then they normally put but still a fair amount. I got extra curds and there definitely were plenty of curds, so I was happy about that. However, there were a couple fries that had black spots on them. Not cool. More than just one or two fries, too, it was like a whole potato with a big black spot got used as fries when it should have been chucked or had the bad piece cut off.
But I'm not going to lie, it was still good and I will still go back to Smoke's.
Small, hot little place in downtown Toronto. Their poutine was delicious, particular the gravy. There were many topping options and I had a BBQ, bacon version. Will visit again. Wish there was air conditioning though.
I know Smoke's is basically the McDonalds of the poutine world, but when it's 4am and you're hungry, your standards are lower than normal. Get the double or triple pork, just don't ask for the calorie count.
Tried this traditional Canadian dish on July 1st, the Canada Day. Few days back one of my colleague gave a description of it which I found tempting and added to my wishlist. I decided to start with traditional one (attached pic) and its upto my expectation.
Size matters. They don't serve the smaller size. Only medium and large. I found medium is quite heavy for one person unless you are really mad of it or damn hungry.
Love poutine. They have good options to make a poutine more indulgent. Open late and reasonably priced. Good for after a night of drinking.
