Thrive Organic is a lovely eatery on Lakeshore West at Thirteenth Street in Long Branch with a great range of vegan meals, snacks and drinks in a spacious and bright space. The Turmeric Latte, as pictured, was delicious
We discovered this place when we were in the neighborhood on a weekend morning and was really impressed by the food, ambiance and the staff.
Food:
We started off with their smoothies - Recovery, and Immunity - and they both were great. Very refreshing with great taste. For the breakfast, we went with their Energy Breakfast which is scrambled tofu served with mixed greens, some veggies, cashew cheese, guacamole, and 3 blue corn tortillas. It was good although I am not a big fan of blue corn tortillas. But otherwise, it was great. We also ordered Mushroom Pizza which was fine. I wasn't really impressed with the thick breaddy edge of the pizza which is not really healthy. Having said that, the toppings were great. However, the star of the meal was the Tigernut Tiramisu that we had at the end - absolutely delicious.
Ambiance:
It's a great place for the weekend brunch - very open and very bright which is always good. There is plenty of seating available - in terms of quantity as well as the variety. The overall decor is very contemporary. There are also some of the packaged food for purchase as well.
Staff:
Very friendly staff and timely service.
Overall, a great place for a vegan brunch!!
Thrive has a huge variety for vegans. Great breakfast options, good smoothies. Not everything on the menu is super delicious cause the food is mostly organic and bends more towards the healthier side. I personally felt it tasted good!
I looooove this place. There is really only one kind of these vegan/vegetarian places in the Etobicoke area, which is very sad. The food never disappoints. I've eaten here on several occasions and I've pretty much tried most of the menu, from the smoothies to the bowls to the pizza to the burgers (amazing) to the delicious brunch (eggs, quinoa pancakes, French toast). Remember this is all either vegetarian or vegan. They even make cappuccinos with almond milk. Depending on what you get, yes it could get pricey and the portions can be smaller than what you may expect if you have that huge portion mentality. That being said, it's so worth it. You don't stuff yourself with crappy huge portions of unhealthy food. The only thing I wish is that it was closer to home, lol.
I went for Valentine's Day brunch with my mom & sister ordering the stuffed french toast and passion fruit smoothie. The only dislike was that the french toast was quite soggy not much a fan of sprouted bread either but the assortment of fruit gave it a rich taste along with the smoothie. Will be coming back for sure.
I've been here on a coupla occasions and I prefer it to Raw Aura which is much closer than Thrive. With Raw Aura, I miss the hot temperature of food as that's the point of their restaurant...keep foods raw.
Whereas with Thrive, I believe their mandate is to provide organic foods, that can be vegetarian OR vegan as well. They also have gluten-free options available.
Menu is quite varied from soups, salads (of course!), bowls (w/ greens & grains), pizza (sprouted crust), burgers (yum!), tacos, burritos, desserts, drinks (caffeinated, hot&cold, and even wine & beer). It would be next to impossible NOT to find something that you'd like on here!
I've had/tried the tacos, pizza, Serenity bowl w/ freekeh, burger, & a coupla desserts. Everything was really yummy. The Buddha bowl was slightly dry because the dressing was just tahini. I was really impressed with the flavours in the House Burger! Dessert-wise, try the Macadamia Nut Tiramisu. The "cake" part of the tiramisu is made out of ground up macadamia nuts, so that sorta justifies the $10 price tag. Plus, I find their cake desserts quite rich, so you should share, FYI!
Highly recommended, wish it were a bit closer for all those clean eating meals...after a particularly junky week! ;)
Food quality is very high. If you have not eaten organic and clean foods before, get ready to have a mind refreshing meal and feel invigorated. Those needing gluten free options will find Thrive an easy place to dine.
A short haiku review from me to you. Hope you enjoy :)

This is an oasis for vegetarian and vegan dishes. Not sure, they may be all vegan. Lots of gluten free and sprouted foods too. It's a very healthy alternative although I confess, I wish I could go more often. I like all foods, but it's nice knowing what I order here really is good for me.
Really nice people working here.
Delicious!. I've been 3 times now and have had or shared - the taco wrap, salads, burrito, burgers - everything is so delicious! Makes you only want to eat organic vegetarian food. Great tea too.
