Scarborough's newest hidden gem has hands down the best Indian food in the GTA! Don't bother going to downtown, Mississauga or Brampton. All the other Indian restaurants there serve oily, overcooked food. This place is as authentic as it gets for north indian food and can't be beat. From top to bottom the menu is superb.
This restaurant is for sure in the short list for best Indian in the city. Every dish packed so much flavor yet tasted completely different from each other. The veggie biryani is excellent, and the kadai paneer was very different than other paneer dishes I tasted before, so good. The vindaloo lamb was also a highlight with a nice level of heat and vinegar. The butter chicken while super tasty will probably not make the cut next time i go, just because there is so many other things to try. Naan was also great!
Dining room is nice, clean and modern. Service was attentive, no complaints.
Wine is super cheap there - $18/bottle, so we were happy to oblige in a couple.
Overall great experience, will be back!
The best-est Indian restaurant in Toronto. Real paneer tikka, FINALLY arrived in Toronto. And real Veg biryani. The amalgamation of spices and the sudden bursts of flavours is stupendous...Similarly with Paneer tikka, the trutful green pepper and the intensely rich spices (not the heat) were worth the visit in the rain. Malai kofta also was creamy, lush, comforting. Nice upscale decor unlike the drums-and- dancing-
damsels-decor of faux Indian restaurants spread across the city.
Update 1: Chaat papdi had a melange of yogurt, tamarind sauce and mint chutney. Tandoori Gobi was our first ever veg sizzler in Toronto and it awakened our senses.
