They had the events menu because of the Jay's game. Great strategy, customers get in and out quickly. Angela was our server, great job with a smile. Paper straws, first ones I've seen to date red exterior with a white inner.

The waffle cut fries are awesome!! The rest of the appetizers we got were good too but if you only order one I suggest the fries. Went for cheap ceasars but I think they had a funny taste to them so I stuck with other cocktails and beer.
Large and clean establishment. Friendly staff. Great pre and post game spot.

Dropped in around 9:45 for a drink and dessert with my wife. Host watched us walk in only to turn back and carry on conversation with waitress. Should’ve left then and there.
There were maybe 6-8 occupied tables and less than 10 people at the bar, so we figured service would be quick. Wrong.
We waited about 10 minutes for service, we ordered a couple drinks and dessert. Drinks came quickly but after 25 minute wait for dessert in fairly empty establishment we paid our bill for the drinks and left before our order came out.

We had supper this evening at Fionn MacCool's.<br/><br/>It was a busy spot and there was a waiting list!<br/><br/>Gord ordered Fish & Chips. He said it was excellent and he'd get it again.<br/><br/>I hadn't eaten all day so was hungry. I had the BBQ Half Chicken (I didn't want any salad and I had the fries replaced with mashed potatoes). It too was delicious and I'd get it again.<br/><br/>I ordered Apple Crumble Pie for dessert and it was really good.<br/><br/>There were three staff together greeting customers at the door or chatting with each other. As the place was jammed and the servers were really busy, one or two of them should have been helping out (there was no need to have three greeters at the door since there was a waiting list).

Only ever had poor experiences in here. Just a standard cookie cutter Irish bar. Not great food and even worse beer. There's better bars a short walk away.

Had the blarney fries... I'm still having nightmares. No sit down restaurant, bar, or pub should ever put liquid nacho cheese on anything...grow up MacCool's...the service was good tho

Very nice lunch with my client's team today (16 people). I had been here a few years ago, and decided it to try it again. Service seemed to be fast and efficient, although I must admit I was focused more on conversation than keeping an eye on service. <br/><br/>I ordered the Guinness Steak and Mushroom Boxty. Savory chunks of steak and whole button mushrooms, smothered in a Guinness gravy, folded into an Irish potato and wheat flour pancake.

Good Pub Food and Drinks. I came here with a friend the first night of a business trip and had the fish and chips plate. The meal was very good as was the service and atmosphere. Another plus was that it was a very short walk from my hotel next to the Rogers Centre (SkyDome) and provided a good respite from a long day of flying and driving. I would definitely recommend this place to friends.

Bad management. I was at Finn Mcools tonight down on the esplanade with a girlfriend that I had not seen in a long time. Apparently she is a regular there. We had been drinking previously at another finns. She has had q history at the finn's on the esplanade and is known by management and all the staff including security. We were pretty happy already going in and she has had a history of being out of control there. She was cut off before we ordered a drink and nobody informed me of this. The service was lousy with the exception of the bartender that was very cordial. The security guard on the door was female and obviously new my friend. She allowed us in knowing that my friend had too much to drink. I had to go to the bar to order my drinks and when I got my friend one I was told by the female security agent that I was in violation and I had done something wrong. Nobody at the bar informed me that my friend was cut off before she had even been served. Isn't it a bouncers job not to allow inebriated people into a bar regardless of how much they frequent the place. I spoke with the manager about the situation and the security lady kept budding into the conversation. Then went to my drunk friend and started putting words in her mouth of things she had said. I eventually got kicked out without a fuss for flipping the bird to her. She was a liar and the bottom line she was not doing her job. Too finn mcools corp. I will be making a personal phone call to you tomorrow to lodge a formal complaint. My friend has been known to be drunk all the time at your esplanade location. My first time there in a long time and will be my last. There is a little piece of paper that anyone in the hospitality industry needs. Its called Sm,art Serve.

I Like This Place!. I like this place! It is a really nice place, big with tons of room for large parties and TVs all over the place. The servers are really nice here. I had the blarney chips which were amazing! Cheese, tomatoes, and onions oozing over little softened chips, they are a must! I also had the prime rib burger, which was okay, a little dry, so I had to load on the fixings. The sweet potato fries are really good, and the best part is that they are more healthy for you than normal french fries! The server kept bringing us water when she noticed ours were getting low. She really took care of us and I liked that. We had a birthday at our table and the server willingly brought out a chocolate lava slice and when our table starting to sing happy birthday, everyone else joined in with us! It was awesome, the whole restaurant was singing happy birthday to our friend! I would definitely come back here again, great food and great service!

Good pub fare. Had a salmon nicoise and a beer. Food was good. Service too. A bit noisy, since it was Thursday night, and there was a band playing (not that good by the sound I've hear...)
