Nice ambience for a date. Portion sizes were perfect, great menu selection and variety of creative Asian fusion dishes on offer. Highlights were definitely the fois gras, eggplant double down and the steak tartare! Thought the cocktail that was made for me was a bit average. Overall would visit again and we found it easy to get a table as we went early (before 6).

My bf and I always pass by this place and noticed is always so lit - thought we should give it a try which we did. I love the vibe here and the food is pretty good. Oysters not too fresh but it wasn't bad. Other dishes were pretty good but do not wow me. And they only served classic cocktails and no menu for them which I think is lacking.

Dim bar ambiance, with candles and some neon lights. It is an intimate space with limited seating. They have a large drink menu. Service was great, and waiters were very attentive. Tapas style small plates, but loud and complex flavours. Especially loved the steak tartare, octo bravas, miso-mustard gyuniku, and squash fritters. Flavours and textures were all so different from each other! The falafel doubledown was a mini burger but with falafel as the buns, which I found unique! The Korean fried chicken was alright, but was served to us lukewarm and the sauce coating the chicken didn’t seem that special - the sauce was a bit gingery similar to the sauce coating the squash fritters, but wasn’t as flavourful.

My husband and I were in search of a restaurant that closes late and served food past 10pm. We drove around Queen West and found 416 snack bar. Love the ambience, staff was amazing and attentive and just the overall vibe of bar was very nice. NOTE: this is a SNACK bar, don’t expect them to serve full size meals here. Expect more of a tapas style servings. Upon arrival, we chose our own table and a waiter came to drop off a QR menu to us and served us water. Vaccination receipts were checked. We tried the Korea fried chicken , smashed cucumbers, Rueben sandwich and the beef tartare, everything was delicious. Not one single bad thing I could say about the dishes. Also, the prices were reasonable, the tapas range from $6-$15. There is no cocktail menu, you tell the waitress/waiter what you like and they’ll tell you if the bartender can make it. The cocktail staples they serve when I was there were: cosmo, amaretto sour and the Moscow mule. Cocktails are around $13 each class. Honestly, not bad for downtown. I’ll definitely be back with lots of friends next time!

Solid snack bar in the heart of Queen west - and priced accordingly so plan your budget ahead of time. Could’ve done without the oysters and shrimp cocktail, but the Reuben was well done, very tasty, the beef tartare was good, and the not-pictured braised ribs were spicy and special. Good drinks too.

A special nondescript spot with great small bites and a wide selection of drinks. As the name implies there's only small plates here but they are very reasonably priced, and if you combine several of them you'll end up with a pretty filling meal. There's no utensils so be warned that certain dishes can get a bit messy. The food is fun because it spans many different cuisines - i had general tso tofu, eggplant parmesan sandwich, trinidadian doubles and an indian style aloo (potato) chaat. Excellent vegetarian selections. There's one dessert item currently and that's a custom chocolate bar they make called the snackers. There's tons of drink options - I stuck to the cocktails, for which they have no menu. Instead you can ask the staff for what type of drink you're craving and they'll make something that matches your description. The manager gave us a couple of great drinks - a jungle bird and a modified daiquiri - both were delicious! A big part that added to the experience was how friendly the staff, especially the manager (who is waiting tables and taking orders too) is. His drink recommendations were great and he took time to explain all ingredients in the cocktails and even the proportions. A final note on how great the vibe and ambiance is. It's a great date spot with dim lighting, and a candle on each table. The music fit perfectly (anderson paak mostly, some kendrick) with the overall vibe of the place. Note that the place is pretty small and most tables are for 2
