Everything was good- the ingredients were exceptionally fresh, service was friendly and very attentive. The ambiance was true Japanese minimalism. Perhaps, my only criticism was the ever so slight crystallization on the vanilla ice cream. The mocha lava cake was delicious. However, for this price point, I wanted more… this place didn’t “wow” me. Don’t get me wrong, everything was good— but when I’m spending $180 for a meal, I expected to be wow’ed and have something completely unique.

Worthy of 5 Stars. Drinks were inventive and delicious!! The sushi was fantastic, typically I hate mackerel but they just make their dishes that good you can’t hate anything. W were on the rooftop which made the experience even better.

Great place for sashimi and torched-pressed sushi. The flavors are great and unique. Definitely, our go to sushi place when we are in town. Can't wait to come back!

I saw a comment that the server, quality, wagyu and sushi rice was inconsistent. NONE of this was true when I went to visit. Definitely worthy of the near 5-start average rating as the experience I had was phenomenal. Firstly, the food - WOW, Melting in your mouth with every bite, so tender you could almost just swallow all the pieces of the sushi. Rice was definitely consistent tasted fresh and complimented ALL the different types of sushi. Seafood tasted fresh, no sour or weird smells. The drinks are very beautiful and creative (Green Tea Matcha Mojito was BOMB and pretty). The waiters and bartenders were both informative and pleasant, and with elegance, staff were constantly paying attention to their customer's needs. The host (manager?) Beck, was very very amazing, ensuring everything went well during dinner. Thank you for such a wonderful evening. 5/5 would recommend.

This place NEVER disappoints. Always top quality. Small menu but you don’t want to be overwhelmed. I love the green tea take on edamame — so unique and delicate. And you cannot go wrong with any of the aburi. The sauces and everything is done to perfection. No soy sauce necessary which is rare. Service also top notch. Appreciated the mindful reminder about the time limit. This is how an easy dinner on a week night should be done.

It was not a vacation we had planned, nor was this a dinner in our usual to do list for specific location-based meal.... but it did not disappoint and had lifted our temporary dull spirits at the time; with simply a beautiful and authentic Japanese..... uhh everything including authentic food, modern ambience, upmarket style, the traditional "irasshaimase" greetings.... and not to forget the modest serve of warm sake and the warm services from the staff (or owner, manager or whoever had served us then)... The pictures say it all as I am not the usual photographer professional wannabe, I'm quite happy to share these as they look quite decent. I am not sure whenever I will have an opportunity to visit Toronto again, but surely this is one of the few experiences worth sharing and repeating.... hopefully sooner than later. PS. the 25% gratuity to the staff there was my only way to express our thanks to the lovely and relatively short time we spent there.....

Got the sushi platter, and blackened cod. Both of them were really good.neprsobal favorites I clude the fatty tuna and the shrimp. B I've never had blackened cod before so I can't compare it to other places but it was really really tasty. Over I'd say stick to a la carte, I find the sushi platter too expensive for what you get. Presentation is great but my stomach was grumbling after a $200 bill. Granted I shared with another person but still. 4/5 stars because of price
