We had dinner at la banane last night and had a great time! We ate our way through the menu tapas style and each dish was amazing. Scallops, tuna, duck, everything was an amazing bite. A real buzz in this place, service was excellent, staff very knowledgeable. Decor is outstanding, a cozy, lively spot. Brandon is an amazing chef with a real winner on his hands.
A great experience from beginning to end, from flawless service to wonderful food. As a vegetarian, there were few items on the menu but the chef de cuisine, Basilio Pesce, put together an incredible main dish for me on short notice. Potatoes aren't something that usually do much for me but the side of potatoes were truly delicious. My dining partner had the turbot special and raved about the food. The dessert was meringue with pitstachio and and light syrup made with orange blossom water. Just perfect. We will be back!
Loved the space, the cocktails, and every dish was tasty, interesting and well thought out. Seafood...so fresh--scallops in garlic buttermilk, mussels. Love notes from fine cheese throughout too, from the cheese puff to start, through the actual cheese selections and potatoes aligot. Happy happy.
This restaurant is fantastic. The place looks fabulous, the service is great, the food is delicious. Seriously one of the best dining experience I've ever had. Some reviews said it was expensive but the quality of the dishes I ordered match the price I paid and I can't recommend this place enough.
Simply amazing! One of the best dining experiences I ever had. Service was on point from taking our coats and seating us at our table. We did the taste the menu option where we had a five course meal of seafood, meat, vege and dessert. Tables wee cleaned after each course with new plates and cutlery. Service was very quick despite being a full house in the restaurant. Absolutely recommended!
Strong spot for French fine dining. The eurobass and the scallops are especially excellent. For dessert, the banana cake and the chocolate square really hit the spot. Lovely spot for a nice occasion.
Wow! Wow! Wow! We celebrated my cousins 50th birthday at La Banane on Saturday night and the service and food was spectacular!
Olivia, Sylvain, Sasha and all the staff went above and beyond to make our party of 15 feel welcome! The energy and vibes from the entire restaurant was superb! We felt extra special when all of the patrons in the restaurant joined in and wished my cousin a happy birthday with applause, too! Amazing!!

Celebrated our girlfriend’s birthday on last Thursday night. Amazing experience at La Banane! Great ambience! Great food! The service was impeccable! Our server Sylvain was absolutely amazing! He was affectionate, knowledgeable and full of personality. And we also got another server Graham helping us that evening. He was appreciative & humor. Every single dish was so carefully crafted and full of flavours that blended together graciously. The presentation for each dish was flawless! The tenderloin especially was very juicy, perfectly done and full of flavour. The baked sea bass and the seared foie gras were our favourites. They tasted really delicious and exquisite. Love their seafood plateaus, oysters & scallops were very fresh. We ordered all their appetizers & all their desserts. La Banane definitely surpassed my expectations. Highly recommend to family & friends.
First time went to this restaurant for my partner's birthday celebration on a sat night, better made reservation ahead otherwise i dont think you could get a spot from walk in, very busy night. Very friendly staff to greet you and provide coat check whom i noticed later on she was actually the restaurant manager for that night, Olivia. Excellent service and warm greeting from Olivia. She even treat us dessert on the house since it was my partner's birthday. Our server, Sylvain, super friendly and went through the menu with us. He is very responsive and keep refilling my wine & water once it is low, super impressive. To be honest, the seafood tower is a bit pricy for the amount so i recommend you may try our each single item from the seafood category. because the taste and texture of the seafood is great! (Hokkaido Scallop must try!) The beef tartare was very salty and Sylvain noticed we didnt move well on the dish so he came over and ask what happened. i told him that was way too salty and he brought back and made a new one for us with less salt, very considerate and good observation. Another thing i must point out is that when i made the reservation i have put in the note that since is my partner's bday i would like to have a more private spot for dinning if possible. We arrived at 6pm and we were sitting at the very end window side table, the whole house was full by 7 pm or so, but the table beside us was empty until 9pm. Very impressive that they fulfill my note and provided us a great night without any disturb beside our table until late night for the table turn over. High honor to Olivia and Sylvain!! Must come again very soon!!!
