Really great food and the most amazing waiter. Highly recommend the tasting food/drink menu item!
We had a fantastic experience last night!! I can't decide which was better- the service or the food. The staff was very knowledgeable, raising our anniversary dinner to a lovely experience. The food was delicious and thoughtful. We left satisfied and are eager to come back to try more :)
Most of the dishes that I tried were okay - good, but nothing outstanding, except for the foie gras. The foie gras is INCREDIBLE. I LOVE the texture, it is uniform and smooth and creamy without feeling too rich, because of the beautiful seasoning. It comes from Quebec and is cooked perfectly (i.e. barely cooked through). Next time I go back, I will get nothing but foie gras. Their octopus, which wasn't the best I've had, was better than the octopus dish I had at Buca Yorkville. The service was excellent and half price wine nights are the best time to go. The desserts weren't very good, but the ice cream was nice. I think this place is a bit pricey, but, once again, the foie gras is more than worth every penny.
This restaurant is amazing. The food was spectacular, the waiters are attentive, and knowledgeable about what they bring. It's not inexpensive, but well worth it. I was truly disappointed when the food was finished, but will surly return.
While it was an expensive meal, it was worth it. We requested that the kitchen cook for us. They're happy to oblige any food preferences, and we're careful to expand out palates, while respecting our wishes. Posolé, sweetbreads, and stuffed peppers were among the standouts, although all the dishes were top notch.
Service was extremely pleasant and eager to make your stay as enjoyable as possible.
Love- egg plant, ceviches & sable fish
Great- churros, patas fritas and croqueta
Not good- cauliflower salad
Yummy food and good service. Menu is fairly pricey so it's a good restaurant for special occasions. Egg plant is amazing and so is the ceviche. The sable fish is not that large but very yummy. Don't forget to have churros for dessert!
Very creative menu, tapas style, loved their duck and well prepared sweet breads, wonderful wine list and highly attentive wait staff. Will definitely return.
Very impressive little cave like Resto off Yonge. Very creative dishes. Phenomenal wait staff. Definitely try the venison. I'd come back for the churos too.
This is one of those restaurants where you can tell they really respect the quality of their ingredients. Everything is very fresh and high quality. The paella is good and all the pinchos are awesome. The sablefish is probably the best thing on the menu. So yummy!
Only complaint was that the service at times was a bit slow. We ordered a bottle of wine and it did not come to the table until half way through our meal.

One of my favourite places for a special dinner. Don't be fooled by the odd location, the food and service are fantastic. I can never resist the fries and warm olives. The eggplant and sweetbreads are a must. Best I've had in Toronto.
Great service, excellent sable!. The food was delicious and the service was great. If you go you should definitely try the sable dish. They are pricey but worth it and melt in your mouth. Enjoy!
Having lived in Barcelona previously, I have been craving a genuine Spanish experience ever since. Although this can't count as 100% authentic, it comes close.
The service was impeccable. Our server was delightful, very polite, courteous and helpful.
I wish we had been able to eat dinner, but we were just stopping for some churros. The churros were very good, albeit somewhat crunchy and with a definite hint of star anise, which could have been avoided. Nonetheless the churros con chocolat were a treat. The hot chocolate tasted almost like pure cocoa, no artificial sweetness.
I also couldn't help myself from ordering a glass of the Cava Classico Brut. It took me back in time to my months in Spain especially since I've visited the Codorniu caves that this particular cava is made in.
They had a couple of ham legs on the counter ready to be carved too. This really added to the Spanish ambience. The fact that Cava is tucked away in a little corner of the shopping enter also adds to the quaintness of it all.
Although, I will say, don't let the location throw you off - it's definitely one of the nicer & classier spots I've visited so far.
Good strange foods! I really enjoy the foods here. All of the dishes that we have tried are so new to my tastebuds! :p The server and the staff are really nice! There's one dish that we didn't finish cos I didn't realize I was allergic to that, then one of the server told us they will not charge for that! Amazing amazing service. Definitely coming back to CAVA!
Good food and service. There is parking right next to the restaurant so don't bother getting street parking. Be prepared to wait a little bit for the paella because it takes 40 minutes to cook. The lady at the next table made this mistake.
Oh. My. Lord. One of THE best dining experiences I have ever had in the 15 years of living in Toronto. The staff were absolutely amazing, extremely friendly and helpful. They knew the food and wine selection and pairings with the dishes.
As a Maritime native, I was blown away by the freshness of the seafood, flown in from Azure freshly caught last night! A treat fit for the Gods, I dare say Poseidon would approve. That Sablefish and rice dish is still on my mind. The atmosphere made the dining experience that much more satisfying. I think my partner and I will be talking about that dinner for weeks.
We were a large group, probably 20, and they had no problem getting us seated. So rest assured they take larger reservations, or perfect for a dinner date.
Will definitely be returning and recommending it to friends and family!
