Great wee place this is. One of the finest whisky bars in the Big Smoke, or anywhere else for that matter. And a fine restaurant to boot. Best haggis I've eaten outside of Scotland. The staff are friendly, intelligent, helpful and fun to chat with. I'm from Lanark, Scotland now living in Winnipeg, but this will be one of my stops whenever I visit Toronto. If you don't visit this excellent establishment then you're a proper daftie, a real no-hoper.
Maggie the bartender while I was there was just the best. She gave me great recommendations on the scotch I should try. She also steered me In the right direction on the food. Scottish sampler and deep fried Mars bar. Don’t knock it until you try it. Can’t wait to be back in Toronto just so I can go try other great scotch and food.
Popped in ten days ago in our on-going quest to sample all the Scottish pubs in the world's finest cities. The Caledonian is definitely worth all five stars, a cracking place with quality food (including deep-fried Mars bar for pudding, haha!). Locals were great too, really friendly and welcoming (my top tip is make friends with the "key holders", generous bunch that they are). Best bar in Toronto, will certainly pay another visit when (not if) we make it back to this wonderful city.
Nice atmosphere + a great selection of drink (incl. Bellhaven Black Stout!) + fantastic food (a Haggis Fritters appetizer and a Mac & Cheese to die for) = the perfect meal.
On holiday from found Scotland place well worth a visit excellent selection off beers from Scotland and for anyone how loves whiskey this is the place for you they stock so many different one to choose from.
Also the food selection good had steak pie chips excellent
Will be back well done Donna and her good staff.
OMG! I think I've died and gone to heaven, just had the best haggis tatties and neeps outside Scotland. The staff are so friendly and thanks to Donna for the warm welcome, will be recommending the Caledonian to friends and family who come to Toronto.
Keep up the good work guys, all the best!
Favourite pub in the city! Gorgeous atmosphere, delicious food (the vegetarian haggis is my go to), and Belhaven Black Stout on tap! Also, the wait staff are on the ball.
I drove all the way from Montreal to try this place and it was worth every mile. Great selection of whiskies, great service and the food is quite good too.
A warm welcome and staff so friendly! Definitely recommend to friends and family to visit,as it gives a good family atmosphere! Thank you Donna and girls for wonderful welcome! We'll be back Allison & Tam x
The Caledonian was an amazing experience. Went here with my groomsmen and friends and was delighted by the amazing food, incredible staff and delightful selection of spirits!

Best Scotch bar in the city. Feels like home, staff is beyond knowledgeable, and the atmosphere is what a pub should be, lively, friendly, and fun!
Owner and staff are top notch hospitality people. Service was great, so were the food and beverages. Happy 4th burns day celebration was awesome.
Gotta love the scots (even though the English are not their favourite people)
I Invited Deb and Andrew (our daughter and favourite son-in-law) along together with Joan and Michael and of course my sweatheart Barb, to the tasting at The Caledonian on College (on 23 Dec 2016) - superb service - Thank you Carley and owners Donna & Dave :-). Again, a wonderful evening tasting some new Single Malts - The Balvenie Single Barrel and The Balvenie Double Wood 17 Year. The DW 17 is worth a purchase. Slowly getting Deb and Andrew into more Single Malts. And let's not forget the tasty food menu with a Scottish Flair :-)
Great drinks, lovely atmosphere and warm and welcoming staff. Love this place. Just a little hot without A/C but otherwise awesome.
Great pub with great scotch. ...had a fun evening. Also the veggie haggis was great
Superb Scotch selection and very attentive and friendly bar staff who got out of their way to convey a very cordial and warm atmosphere amongst all the bar patrons. Very authentically Scottish as well.
Don’t say I didn’t warn you. You came for 1 pint, and you’ll stay for 3 (or 4!?).
You’re gonna LOVE the vibe here.
Count your Scottish blessings if Donna is working. She’s owns this fabulously authentic Scottish pub. The draft beers are cold and a welcome change from every other pub in the neighborhood; the scotch eggs and haggis were delicious; and the ambiance is good.
Check out the impressive list (and wall!) of scotch to try. WOW.
So glad I came by, will be a fall/winter regular!
More like 4.7 for this place. It would be a 5 but running out of Guinness is a big misstep. Meg our waitress was amazing and made us feel like regulars. Appetizers were delicious with just the right amount. Food over all was great, tasty and well presented. I wasn't expecting this from a Scotch House. Deep fried Mars bar 6.0!! Dam that was good. Now for the Scotch. Wow, simply a place to explore. Tried the flight for $190 and it didn't disappoint. The tour of Scotland flight was also pretty good. There are about 1000 or more varieties, be prepared to be overwhelmed lol.
Great wee pub with a decent selection of Scottish beer on tap, OK the tennants isn't exactly the best of Scottish brews, but the belhaven and Innis & Gunn are pretty decent. They also had the brewdog elvis juice on tap. Where this place shines though is with their selection of whiskies, well impressed & the lassie behind the bar (Maggie I think her name was) knows her stuff. Definitely visiting again to try a few more drams here. Was also pleasantly surprised to run into someone from Aberdeen Who works there 😁
Great pub food, the sausage rolls are some of the best I've ever had. It's hard to find Innis and Gunn on tap and this place has it. The Whiskey list is 15 pages long and the staff are super accommodating to help find drams to your taste. Chill atmosphere, we went twice while in Toronto and both were excellent!
A quaint place in Toronto for a nice date night. Awesome tip is to come out in a not too busy day like Tuesday, lol... We found a nice cozy corner to enjoy some drinks and food.
Excellent restaurant with great food and whisky selection. Went for dinner and to sample different types of whisky. Perfect place to go if you're new to whisky, like I am, with really friendly and helpful staff that can guide you through the experience. Really cool vibe too.
Great Scottish pub in Toronto. Delicious Scottish food with amazing selection of beer and whiskeys. We had the Scottish platter with scotch eggs and haggis....was sooooo good. I can't wait to try it again!
The owner Donna is also a very lovely lady! Had a great time and can't wait to go back when I'm back in Toronto with my fiancé!
A truly authentic Scottish restaurant. Haggis is better than I imagined and sticky pudding finishes off your meal. Great service too. Try the Whisky tasting. Such fun.
