What a great French restaurant that is very reasonable priced. Their $55 3course menu is a great deal and the portion are very generous. With few other friends, we managed to try different appetizers and main dishes to share. The lamb shank are made to fall off the bone with minimal force applied. It is one of our favourite dish for the evening. For desserts, the orange creme brulee was our favourite. It has a hint of orange and it is not too sweet. We look forward to come back to try more different items that was made by the awesome chefs.

Great little French place.
3 course for $55 and pretty decent wine selection makes this place a unique gem.
Food is good for the price, but not as refined as other high-end much more expensive restaurants.
The space is cozy, a little tight for my liking.

We came here because of the great reviews and this little gem didn’t disappoint us. We had a great night with wonderful delicious food. I love their atmosphere, causal and relaxing. Service was also great and attentive. We are already looking at returning to try other food on the menu.

My favourite restaurant at all times. Two years ago we found this restaurant by walking around the house and I enjoyed since the moment I came inside. The staff here is super super friendly and kind. I love them so much. Love this place, the environment always feel like home when I am here.

If you're looking for a French restaurant, this one is quite legit. It's truly run by French folks.
The reason I didn't give 5:
- I didn't mind the food, but it didn't wow us enough to repeat.
- Disappointing desert selection for a French restaurant
- Duck was on the chewy side
- After spending over $200 there with 2 foodie friends, we were hungry enough for a second dinner elsewhere in downtown back to back. But that second dinner location actually wow-ed us (food and ambience), while we went in already semi-full. So the big contrast was there. But to be fair, Baratin was slightly cheaper.
However, this is still a nice place, should definitely try at least once given the high reviews. The lamb, the fish, the apps were not bad. Their veggie pie/tart was my favorite of the night, a good non-healthy vegetarian option. The little sides that come with the main dishes are well done.

The staff was super friendly. They always made sure I was comfortable during my dining experience. For appetisers, I got Planche de fromages. The blue cheese was amazing. They even topped up the bread for me after I accidentally finished it with the jam. For mains, I got the duck confit. The duck was super tender. The mash potatoes were creamy. For desert, I got creme brulee. It was a nice touch to end the meal. This was a good experience and first introduction to french cuisine. I did wish at the end I got to coffee as I had abit of food coma afterwards. The portions in this place are big at least for someone typically used to singaporean portions.

Ryan is super friendly and a lovely server. He always makes sure we have a pleasant experience in the restaurant. Le Bartain is our go-to restaurant. Everything here is just fabulous. I definitely recommend it to everyone.

Cosy french restaurant offering fresh and tasty food. The steak was cooked to perfection and they have a good cocktail selection too. Will need to return to sample more of the menu.

Le Baratin is cozy and warm with charming decor, incredible service staff and the true highlight is of course the food!! Took a party of ten there and every single person raved about their meal!! Beautifully braised lamb that fell right off the bone, perfectly grilled steak and the duck confit with a red wine sauce that still has my mouth water 3 days later!!
Chef Jean-Regis is a charming host and talented cooking master!! Highly recommend everyone to go there!!

Delicious French food! I ordered their French pancakes with salmon that they make in house and it was very tasty. I believe that special care is placed into creating the dishes, which includes paying special attention to flavors and herbs and spices and textures and balance. Also, the service was great! The place felt very homey and I felt like I was visiting a "go to" place in someone's village.
The only thing I wish this place had was an accessible washroom. Having a physical disability, there is no way I can make those stairs! Although, I do think that this place is worth visiting again despite the lack of accessible bathroom. I hope that by 2025 this restaurant becomes fully accessible. See : "The path to 2025: Ontario's Accessibility Action Plan."

Super bonne! Reasonably priced French cuisine, in a beautiful and open setting. My table stuck to the excellent (but unadventurous) Steak Frites and I got the kidneys in a wine reduction.
