Love this gem in the market. I always bring friends visiting Toronto to Kensington Market with a stop here for lunch and pie. Great selection of pies to eat in or you buy a pie to go. Appreciate having the choice of a small pie or a regular sized one.
This stop is a must if you are in the Toronto area. Take a nice walk in the Kensington neighborhood then enjoy a slice of heaven at Wanda's Pie in the Sky. Great friendly service, fun yet relaxing environment are the cherries on top.
African Peanut Soup was so damn good. Love the bohemian feel to this place. Perfect little spot in Kensi. Thank You :)

my favourite spot to go in Toronto. They have amazing coffee and food. service is always great! If your in Toronto stop off here.
Possibly the best pies on the planet. Lemon Meringue was exceptional.
It's really the pie not only in the sky but in the heaven!!!
Take a blueberry pie and have a cup of tea, the day is perfect and delightful. Cute and nice surroundings, feel like home and cozzy
Best banana cream pie ever! :) definitely the best pie shop in toronto!
Delicioso! Agradable el lugar y los cafés gratis de lo mejor!!! Jajaja
Delicious seasonal pies and a great selection of other types (Key Lime anyone?). Plus a cool vibe. Loved it!
The pizza and the pie (and monkey bread) were simply amazing! Thank you to the Australien boy (didn't catch his name) for his suggestions and nice chat :) made the experience even more fun!
(From the french girl visiting Toronto for 24hours)
Make sure to bring friends. You'll want to try more than one slice! 🤤

Great pies........................................
Amazing scones, beautiful pies and rainbow-coloured, multi-flavour cake!
I love baking and make a pretty good pie....but Wanda's is the Queen of Pies
Everything we ate here was fantastic. You can't go wrong.
Slam your fist on the table, and howl at the moon kinda good. A+
Wanda and her awesome pies and many other delicious goodies have been making people smile forever. There is a reason for this. Go and try for yourself.
Wanda's Pie in the Sky bakery at the corner of August and Oxford in the Kensington Market is a lovely bakery with excellent pies such as the pictured slice of delicious blueberry pie. So yummy. Of course expect crowds at popular shopping hours.
What can be more eye catching then a pie in the sky? Love..Love..Love the name of this pie cafe! I have passed by this cafe many times and really everytime I walk right by without stopping, I would feel bad because I really can use a peice of pie! I mean who can resist a fresh peice of pie?
The second you walk into the store you see loads of pie! The varieties are quite grand! There is apple pie, blueberry, pecan, chocolate banana pie and the list goes on and on. I was so tempted to try a peice of each! I opted for the lemon meringue and apple pie. There is also a good coffee selection found in Wanda's pie in the sky and it will definitely will satisfy all caffeine lovers. This is a bonus as everyone needs a good cup of tea or java to accompany a good peice of pie!
The lemon meringue and apple pie was everything that I expected. The fillings were fresh and I loved the pie crust! It was flakey, warm and had a very good texture. That's very important in a good peice of pie!
I'm eager to go back to try other pies. They also make seasonal pies so I'm certain everyone will find a peice they fancy at Wanda's pie in the sky!🤗

I was a little put off by the back kitchen, the ceiling is open and the place could use an update.
But everything we tried was amazing. Cherry tart, the pastry had the right flavour and was flaky, tender and golden. Delicious! The dulce de leche macaroons were decadent. My daughter loved the colourful cookies.
I love homemade perogies so I couldn't resist trying theirs. Wow! I regretted only getting 3. I should have gotten some to take back to Ottawa! They are that good!
I've been here a few times. I usually get a latte and a piece of pie. Their coffee is great and service is friendly. The pie can go either way. I've had lovely peach pie and strawberry rhubarb. Last time I got the raspberry rhubarb which was a mistake. Any semblance of actual fruit is gone and the filling was almost jelly-like. However, it's a nice place and had a great patio.
You're a complete fool if you pass up a treat from Wanda's, this well known Kensington bakery style restaurant will blow you away.
For a great experience:
Order the perogies... then order them again because they're THAT good. They'll satisfy even the most orthodox Ukrainian foodie.
For dessert try the Key Lime Pie, it's the best in the city!
My last treat in Toronto would be some pie and another trip to Kensington market. When thinking of how I wanted to end this excursion with a few hours to boarding, there was no other place I wanted to be. You never get enough snacks on a plane ride, even if it’s unlimited cookies and pretzels for a five hour flight. So stocking my belly full of pie that can be both a meal and a dessert, seemed like the obvious and smart choice here.
Came for Veggielicious 2016 for the veggie burger special with soup/salad and was not disappointed. The burger was really great and both the soup and salad were very tasty.
The food was really great and the place is very cute. The staff were very friendly. We felt very welcome here and this place had a cool vibe. You get your own water cups and bus your own plates since this is more of a "fast casual"/cafe type place than a sit-down restaurant.
I would definitely come back here to try some of their pies and more food. Everything was great and I would really recommend it.
I really just stopped in for some ice cream on pedestrian Sunday. The service was quick and friendly and the French vanilla ice cream was tasty.
I went there to eat cheesecake since I read that they serve best cheesecake in Toronto. The fruity cheesecake was delicious. My friend tasted one of the pies and it was so good too. The place is small but they have a big table for groups, and also they have tables outside. If you are in Kensington area, you should give their cakes and pies a try.
Their pies are quite good. The lemon meringue was a bit too sour and their chocolate pecan was too nutty for me.Nevertheless, the staff is very friendly and it's a great spot to chill and study.
Ordered the 6inch Chocolate Mousse Pie and everyone loved it. The Mousse and cream was light and fluffy with some flaky pie crust. YUM! I want to try the Banana Cream Pie next.... :) as well as the pecan pie, Apple crumble pie......
Even for New Years Eve, this place was packed beyond belief. It was hard to move around and order dishes. That's how packed it was. I gotta say that for all the hype that was around this place, it surprisingly didn't let me down.
I order something I've never tried before: a chocolate pecan pie. I was expecting it to be crunchy and hard. Instead I got a rich mousse like texture that tasted like a a chocolate pecan chocolate bar mixed with a bit of cinnamon. The crust was paired perfectly by being a thin but dense piece of pastry holding in all the goodness of a pie. If I had to critique it, it would only be the price as you're paying over 6 bucks with tax for a slice of pie.
I would still recommend this place as it provides a cozy eccentric atmosphere with great food that will hit the spot.
Autumn means pumpkin spice and pumpkin spice means Pumpkin Pie. Wanda’s has many desserts including pies, cakes, tarts, etc. Their Pumpkin Pies are really appetizing and wholesome. The filling is rich and smooth with the perfect balance of sweet and spicy. Their pecan pie is sweet, humble, and full of great traditional taste. It’s a major knockout in my family and a slice would be a great option for a gluttonous snack if you’re in the area. I’ve tried the cherry pie and if you’re a cherry lover you will enjoy it… if you’re not a fan of cherry flavoured things I would steer clear because its bursting with cherryliciousness. Overall I really love this place because all their pies are scrumptious and an added bonus they’re vegetarian.
Took home a key lime pie for a birthday dinner. Was expensive but delicious and enjoyed by all. Leftovers in fridge two days later were still great. Love this pie.
Customer service was meh. Server was pleasant but spent most of her time talking past me to her friend in line behind me, so that was a bit annoying.
Considered trying the other small desserts, squares, cookies, but they leave them on the counter uncovered and I saw a fly on them which turned me off. They really should consider covers for these treats.
Still, would come back for the pies.
My friends and I really love pie. So we came to Wanda's on a hot summer evening and ordered 3 different slices to share. The slices were $5 and change and cut to a fairly good size.
Banana Cream Pie - Loved the banana cream with real banana slices but the crust was super disappointing, dry and tasteless.
Coconut Cream Pie - Flakes on top tasted a bit odd but the cream was pretty good. Crust was disappointing, dry, not tasty.
Peanut Butter - This was pretty good. The whipped peanut filling tasted exactly like Reece's and the chocolate exterior was yummy.
Overall, cute shop with a good variety of flavours but crust is half of the battle and the pie crusts here were just simply upsetting.
I have bought pies here as gifts and for myself and have never been disappointed. My particular favorite is the key lime pie they have here. I could eat it for days, although I shouldn't.
Bought a wonderful and delicious large raspberry pie for a family event. It was as advertised. Flaky, sweet but not too sweet, and had a bit of tartness. Great place to get a pie.
3.5 is a pretty high rating for this place but then again, I love pie and there aren't a lot of places for it.
Granted I haven't tried all of the pies yet, but I've tried the strawberry rhubarb which is a popular one there as well as a peach one. Neither were amazing, but certainly still good.
Don't get the brownie, that was a mistake.
Also, be prepared to pay a hefty sum for a slice of pie as these don't come cheap.
Such a cute place to go. Wonderful atmosphere. Everyone is so happy to be here whether they are working or a customer. The lemon meringue pie was absolutely wonderful. These Pride cookies were just too adorable not to try
Probably Toront's best pies, Wanda's is now the first place I think of when I think of pie. This time we tried the key lime pie and it looks wonderful. The heavy cream on top is nice, but the key lime part of it is intensely flavourful and rich in a good way. But my favourite part of the pie was the crust. There's crunch and crumble to it and it is just absolutely delicious. I don't know how they make it like that, but it makes me come back for more! Yum!
A delicious assortment of pies and baked goods. A cozy little place is a lovely way to spend a Sunday afternoon
However it is very very expensive
Overpriced, But Good. I've never eaten any of the sandwiches or salads (they don't look appetizing), but the croissants are AMAZING and the tea is good too. The atmosphere is also really great and natural feeling. Service is good, and cashiers are nice. It is overpriced though, in my opinion.
Good pie but.... Do we really need to keep up the faux-hippie counter culture image? At the prices they charge they might as well sell Bell and Rogers products for dessert. Torontos desperate search for authenticity shouldnt revolve around the Kensington market
Funky hippie pie. One of my dietary ground rules is that if a place decides that it's going to specialize in pies, it's worth a try. Pie crusts aren't easy to make, so if an eatery has been doing it for any length of time, they've probably gotten good at it. That's why I went for coffee at Wanda's -- mainly so I could have a slice.
Wanda's crusts are what I call "hippie-style." Thick, not thin and flakey, but not leaden, either. The sour cherry filling was tasty, and I don't mean tasting like it was from a can. I wish I could have tried some other pies too, especially the chocolate pecan one, but I have pants I've gotta fit into. My cappucino was decently strong, and not burnt like so many espresso-based drinks I have on the West Coast. My dining companions were pleased with their croissants, which Wanda's says it makes in-house. I'd go back!
Yes and n0, good ambiance but the 6$ wasnt Worth it for thé chocolaté mousse cake... Maybe i Didnt pick the right Thing !
Delicious. Lots of freshly made pastries and salads. Cute decor, wonderful aroma sticks to your clothing too.
...They do all kinds of pies here but are famous for the chocolate pecan and strawberry rhubarb. I'd had both on previous visits so I opted for a slice of fresh blueberry pie. As usual, the service was great and a friendly waitress brought me my dessert after it has been warmed to gooey perfection in the oven.
I can say that is one of my favorite places for pie. Warrants mutiple repeat visits.
Love their pie, haven't try one that I don't like yet.. tried their Blueberry pie, Peach Melba (they even offered to heat it up for you) and Ben's Pecan Pie (normally I don't like it cause it's usually too sweet but the one at Wanda's, it was extremely well balance and perfect with a cup of coffee)
I can, have and will eat a whole apple pie. Thank goodness there aren’t too many places in Toronto that can whip up a perfect one. I look for perfect buttery crust that’s a little flaky and between tender and firm. I like my filling fresh, sweet and tart.
After our sandwich Alli noticed a dessert/cafe across the street called Wanda’s Pie in the Sky and I had to go inside, I’ve wanted a dedicated pie shop in Buffalo for years and had to satisfy my pie cravings. Alli ordered her usual Red Velvet Cupcake and wasn’t really impressed, my slice of raspberry rhubarb pie had a strong tart kick and a wonderful flaky crust.
Wanda has been in the baking biz for over 3 decades and in this industry it means something. Her #pies are made with lots of love and local fruit. I am a sucker for her almond #croissants which are light and flaky and full of almondy goodness. Try her baked #eggs in pastry with spinach and bechamel. Always a friendly smile here.
Wanda’s is my first and last choice for pies in Toronto; first, b/c I enjoy their pies; last, b/c I don’t know that many other places that make them for takeout. Don’t get me wrong, I also have a slice of pie and a coffee there from time to time and the place is nice, tough a little hot during the summer month (what with the ovens and all), but for me the true beauty of Wanda’s is that is allows me to buy a great pie to round out a meal; I can cook but I usually draw the line at baking. I must acknowledge Wanda’s pie crust as well: a good filling is one thing, but a good pie crust is not an everyday occurrence. This place is well worth a visit, whether for a casual afternoon slice or to bring home a pie for a dinner. My only caveat for buying pies at Wanda’s is this, avoid the smallest size (6”, I think): I find that you just don’t get a good filling:crust ratio at this size, the former overpowering the latter.
