What an experience! Definitely a must stop for tourist visiting the trendy Kensington Market. Amazing friendly staff. Comfortable seating area or quick convenient to go area. Coffee is out of this world! Cold pressed juices are delicious. Bathrooms are very clean and well kept. Plenty of street parking available. Wheelchair accessible for pick up.
I had a "cortado" coffee, nice, strong. It is one of the few places in Toronto that offer the "cortado" type. There is pastries and muffins to choose from, spinach bagel, and more. Cool & relaxed environment. Patrons from different walks of life and very "Kensigntonian." Moonbean coffee is always good. They have both back and front patios, and indoor seating. Don't miss out.
A nice little coffee shop on a quieter street in the Kensington Market. They take their coffee seriously, roasting their own beans and while they always seem to be busily running around doing something for the shop, they give you a friendly greeting when you enter and get your order started right away.
The coffee is great and they also have a good selection of sweet and savoury baked goods to go along with smoothies. If I lived in the area, this would be a regular stop.
Ordered the cortada and it was very smooth. The menu was interesting and they have a ton of options to try (hot coffee, drip coffee, pressed coffee, milk alternatives, iced coffees, specialty lattes, "refreshing drinks", etc.)
This spot has a great variety of teas and coffees! I enjoyed a cup of the strawberry oolong green tea & spent the morning getting some work done . I must say the green tea was smooth & mildly flavoured which made it easy to drink even if you don’t add any sweeteners. The space is nice and quiet . It’s clean ENOUGH but I did notice a buildup of crumbs and DUST on the walls which was off-putting however the bathrooms were clean . On another positive note, I noticed the staff baking all the pastries fresh in the morning. It’s good to know that the snacks aren’t stale or store bought . . I’ll definitely be back for the strawberry green tea and possibly to try an espresso. The shelves and walls do need a good wiping though. Other than that, great stuff !
Coffee—serviceable, good, just what I wanted and needed
Espresso—good, flavorful
Cozy Blanket—the true reason for the five stars. I got it twice, I couldn’t get over it other time. I can’t wait to try and recreate it at home. The perfect winter drink. Plus you could add alcohol if friends want to get a lil silly. Thanks for introducing me to a delicious new drink!
Also sitting on the steps in the early morning was lovely. They take Covid very seriously.
Some people may say coffee making is not an art, but Moonbean Coffee Company enlightened me on what real coffee is, it was a cool summer day when I visited, I decided to go on a walk and stumbled across this wonderful shop, normally I don't enter such shops buts its energy drew me in. The moment I laid my eyes on the menu the latte caught my eye, it's thick cream jiggly milk was enticing. When it was hand delivered to me on a dazzling white plate. I was captivated. Needless to say, my experience here was unforgettable and I will definitely be coming back again next week. The owners were wonderful, and made this an experience of a lifetime.
Excellent loose leaf tea selection, very good variety of tasty and well priced muffins, croissants, various other pastries. They also have cinnamon syrup for free beside their usual simple syrup. Cool not to pay for a flavour shot if you like cinnamon! The vibe is a bit hectic compared to the more sterile/organized ordering and waiting zones of other shops, but this just adds to the charm of a bustling community space. Nice patio out front too. They also do smoothies and speciality pour overs of many types of coffee. Great spot and cheaper than Jimmy's or other independent cafes.
