I wish there was 100 stars! I always always say no matter where you go what you’re getting is only 50% of the experience the people at the other 50%. The staff here are so awesome, they raise the bar for all customer service! Tim (so genuine and warm hearted) hooked us up with drinks and the best dessert ever for celebration’s, along with exceptional service from Reggie our server, the other FOH manager personally greeting our table, and the two hostess’ kindness! You can really tell the staff here care so much about the people they care for, it really made our night!
The food is always so beyond phenomenal, you’re making a mistake to not go here! I have never reviewed in my life but I’m so taken back by the experience here I hope the staff, cooks, and especially Tim get a shout out for this!

Cluny Bistro
Last Thursday night, we celebrated my brother’s birthday at Cluny Bistro in the Distillery District. It was a tri-generational celebration so location, main floor bathrooms, special dietary requirements (Allergies and vegetarian) were all involved. The food was spectacular and the service was unbelievably amazing. The food recommendations for both appetizers and entrees were spot on for our party of eight. Our server Chad was incredibly attentive and made the special evening the best. His concerns for the allergies were checked and double checked of his own accord. The teamwork of the servers ran like a well oiled machine, even the lovely woman who took our reservations introduced herself and was incredibly helpful. Shout out to Cameron for keeping my octogenarian father’s coffee cup filled. Then the desserts came. WOW. Perfect ending to a perfect evening. Thanks to the wonderful meal and service. Bravo. I highly recommend Cluny Bistro!!!

This restaurant is a gem in Toronto's Distillery District. Excellent food and service. The bread is delicious...slightly dangerous...and made fresh daily. I'm a vegetarian and Cluny offers many options for those who also have dietary restrictions. They're very accommodating. On your way out, be sure to pop into the Cluny Café to get more bread...obviously. We also picked up the croissant of the month, which was everything bagel flavoured with a creamy herb and garlic fulling...dreamy. Thanks Cluny!
I have always loved the atmosphere at Cluny for a good dinner with friends - spacious, comfortable, attended by friendly staff, an interesting imaginative menu as well as good wine list including those by the glass. Of note in the attached pictures are the sesame dipped croquant asparagus stalks and the cucumber(!) tarte at the end. An enjoyable experience overall. A bakery/patisserie is attached to the restaurant for any take home sweets or breads
Yum! Some mishaps with the service due to some orders being forgotten, but we did not have to wait too long for the missed orders to be produced. This is more than I can say for cafe boulud, which dragged on an especially disappointing dinner. during the same trip to Toronto.
Cluny --- Excellent meal, beautiful and spacious restaurant, vibrant vibe! Also look at the cute flatware! The salmon tartare was bright flavored and seasoned just right (again, in contrast with my salty, flat cafe boulud beef tartare). Cluny is proof you don't have to be snooty to cook French cuisine well. Everything else was great! I'd definitely go back when I'm in Toronto next time.
Beautifully designed space, great service, and delicious food. We had a great time here and were consistently impressed with everything we ordered. Most notable were the King Fish Ceviche, the Souffle, and the Beef Tartar. Our server was friendly, knowledgeable, and made great recommendations for the menu. We will definitely be back!
Pros: AMAZING decor and atmosphere- visually stunning, good variety in food, great service.
Cons: super overpriced, food was good, but not great, small servings
Overall: worth a visit just for the beautiful interior.

The second you walk in you can't help but want to look at every little detail of architecture and decor. The restaurant is stunning! In the middle there is a bread bar where your server will cut fresh slices and create a bread basket for your table.
Food was delicious and staff were very attentive. A lovely and highly recommended spot in the distillery.
This place is a destination and not because it's in The distillery; walk through the door and enter a different world: French steampunk bathed in warm light. The food is great. This is the best restaurant in town!

First time coming to this place. My cousin wanted to try a french restaurant and i wanted to take her to the distillery so that's when I decided to give cluny a try.
First off, LOVE the interior!!!!!! Looks very french. The ceiling, the flooring, the bathroom is beautiful!
We went there for brunch so we tried bourbon pecan pancakes, ricotta stuffed french toast and crab cakes Benedict. All delish! The crab cakes is a must!
The coffee they serve it in an individual french press which was so cute.
I still have to come back and try the rest of the menu.

Our server was Armando I believe and he was very friendly and attentive. I had to look around for him a few times to get my water filled, but whenever I found him and caught his attention he was very prompt. He got the order wrong for one of the people in our group which was a slight irritation, but thoroughly apologized and tried to correct it as best possible. Two of us had the steak and potatoes, another two had the shore lunch both which were really great and I would order again! We order the chocolate bread pudding which was good and sweet, the bread basket, and the sesame crusted asparagus. I really enjoyed the asparagus with the sauce as well! We also had the mocktail lavendre I believe was the name which was quite tasty and I would order again. Overall very happy with this place and definitely going back.
A little tougher for people like me as it hardly has anything to eat that is vegetarian or vegan. With that said, we had a chance to taste the cocktails, and it was great. The ambience was so good. Their patio in lit in the nights and if you're fond of taking photos, do not miss this place. The staffs were very friendly, and I was surprised because you could check in your coat as well which most of the other restaurants in Distillery district doesn't have.
Many good things to say of my last visit to Cluny. Our server was lovely and quick to attend us. He made sure we spend a nice evening. The food was sublime, on point with the flavors and perfectly cooked. The butter on the bread basket is amazing, it’s so worth to ask for it. The salmon and the steak we ordered was mouthwatering and I cannot begin to say how much I loved our chocolate sabarin dessert. It was amazing and I absolutely loved it, they pulled up simple components that ended up being quite lovely and chocolatey, as I adore. 5 out of 5 stars without a question. Already looking forward to come back again.
Lively, trendy, delicious! Fabulous meal for our anniversary. Dishes were reasonably-priced, suited the cuisine, and made my palette sparkle. Perfect blend of fancy and low-key. Definitely would recommend.
Delicious drinks and food that are well plated and taste great! Service was top notch (our water was always filled, the waitress was super friendly and came regularly to check in). Also great ambience for everyday dining or special occasions. Highly recommended!
A lovely place to sit down for a nice meal. The setting and service is top notch. The food is good as well, but it's only part of the experience.
The interiors have been well designed and there's a central station where a member of the kitchen staff is constantly shucking oysters. Outdoors, they have a beautiful patio lit with twinkle lights.
Beautiful ambiance. Inside has both metal trim and recessed ceiling trim in a warehouse building. Very large dining room with several types of seating including booths and French decor tables. Staff are attentive. Busy place for brunch and sometimes too loud. Had the lobster Benny which had a flakey pastry base with large flakes of lobster and poached egg made well topped with some cavier; came with a side dill salad. Salad wasn't anything unique, needed some more vegetables. My food-mate had the farmers breakfast which is a large portion of sausage, bacon, potatoes, beans with eggs. Benny was $38...breakfast was $28. Easily will fill any persons belly. Also had a latte, which was a strong espresso presented in cute china. Bathroom was clean and has the same aesthetic as the dining room. Overall great brunch but at a pricey cost...good for a once in a while brunch and special occasion.
Amazing brunch place. Great ambience and service is fast too. Loved the French onion soup and chefs breakfast. The patio is magical especially in the evenings. The bakery items are so amazing as well.
