It has a great atmosphere and great food. I had the Skillet. Thought the portion was small at first, but I was full at the end of the meal. Our server Elliot was amazing. He had at least 7 other tables including one especially hideous family group. They were totally rude and inconsiderate but He kept his cool and was polite and prompt with everyone else. Glad to have found this place on our vacation in Toronto.
Awesome place for breakfast and lunch! Fruit plate is very generous and you could add yogurt or cottage cheese.
Great breakfast
We went early in the morning so did not have to wait. We were pleasantly greeted and taken to a booth seat for two. Amazing selection of choices it took us awhile to choose. Good quality English Breakfast tea. Our food arrived promptly and both our dishes were amble and delicious. Good price too for the district.
Good quality breakfast without breaking your wallet! Had eggs Benedict. The hollandaise sauce was super good. Coffee is also good (not cheap and watery let's just say). I have zero complaints! Waiter was very friendly as well!

Went here for breakfast after a much needed girls night in Toronto.
Atmosphere- It is inside the Hotel Victoria and a hop skip and jump from Union Station. Very brightly decorated. One of my friends who collects roosters was impressed with the amount around the room. We were greeted by a very friendly server who brought us insulated jugs of coffee and hot water with tea bags right off the hop. One friend who was needing that caffeine hit appreciated it a lot.
Food- 1) Greek omelette. It was scrumptious. A lot of feta , black olives and other vegetables. 2) Hearty scramble- It looked chock full of a lot good stuff. My friend verified it was in fact good. Both of the egg dishes came with toast and excellently spiced hash browns ( onions in it too) No need to add ketchup here. 3) Healthy breakfast- A bowl of mixed fruit, a bowl of Greek yogurt, a perfectly poached egg and toast. My friend couldn't eat most of the fruit because te rest of the plate was so filling.
Service- Our waiter was quick, efficient, and friendly. A good person to have at a place near Union Square to crush the reputation that Toronto residents are not friendly.
Impression- If I am in ever in the area hungry for breakfast I would walk a few blocks to go here again.
Prompt, efficient and tasty brunch/breakfast options in a diner setting. As the name implies, the restaurant prides itself on its egg dishes: Benedicts, Rancheros, omelettes, you name it. Great option for a casual working breakfast or for a hearty start to the day.
Splendid! A Torontonian making his first visit to OVER EASY at the Victoria Hotel. Great staff working a great space and serving great brunch food from a varied menu. Eating in downtown Toronto need NOT cost your children's inheritance. Shall be back. Often.
Great breakfast place, nice atmosphere. Food was great, fresh juices with unique flavors like blueberry orange bananna. Reasonable prices, very friendly staff, comfortable and pleasant atmosphere, self serve coffee pots at the table... will come back here for breakfast every time we're in Toronto!
Solid Breakfast / Brunch choice. The eggs benne is delicious. Bloody Marys leave something to be desired. Service is good. Omelettes are not dry. For a downtown breakfast place i think it's fantastic!
We asked our friendly waitress what she would recommend and she said anything on their Specialties section is unique and also they have great hollandaise sauce for their Benedicts. There were so many interesting and appealing options from their Specialties section, the Eggs Bruschetta, Breakfast Poutine, not to mention their many Eggs Benedict.
Great place. The atmosphere reminds me a little of Cora’s. The service was exemplary and the overall experience was pretty fun. That said the eggs benedict I got were hard. The waiter didn’t really ask for an option about the eggs, so I don’t know if this the only way they do Benedict’s here or if our waiter didn’t really ask us for one. That said, the food WAS pretty good and the coffee was decent too.
Good brunch place! Creative interior, loved the roosters figurines. Quiet environment just want you need in the morning. Bunch of breakfast and lunch options. And a looot of coffee, great idea to provide guests with pot of coffee. Enjoyed the big breakfast, besides their pancakes which aren’t good. Place is quite overpriced.
Went here for my friend's birthday breakfast. It is a nice breakfast and brunch place tucked inside the hotel. I tried their Spanish omelette. Portion was really big and it tasted great as well. Staff is quite welcoming and hospitable. They did a small mistake with our order but were quick to change it. My friends also liked their dishes. I would recommend it for sure and would go here again. Although it would be nice if they have vegeterian option in poutine as well.
This lovely breakfast place is tucked under Hotel Victoria on Yonge St. We went there for our Sunday brunch. I loved the decor of the place and loved the food even more. Being just 2 of us, we didn't get to try a lot. We did try their famous Eggs Benedict and it is an absolute must have. The hollandaise sauce was exquisite - smooth and thick as it is supposed to be. While my wife had that, I decided to have the Breakfast Poutine since I'm still relatively new to Canada and haven't gotten over poutines yet. It came with ham, bacon and 2 poached eggs with hollandaise on top. It was heavenly. I must say, the home fries, were very good as well and definitely deserve a mention.
The only thing I can think of as a downside was that our order took some time to come in. But then, we cant complain much on a Sunday brunch.
This is definitely going to be my go to breakfast place. Their competitors have their work cut out for them.
This is a must try breakfast place while in downtown Toronto.
Delicious place, we all got the skillet and it looks like a small amount but it's legit. It was never ending. I ate the pancake like 35 minutes later and it was still perfect. The waitress was also super nice. Great place!
Great breakfast gem in the heart of downtown Toronto. Warm, bright and cozy with lots of seating and an extensive breakfast/brunch menu. Fast and tasty, we enjoyed the classic skillet - sausage, peppers, hash browns and very tasty mushrooms topped with eggs and a side of toast. The washrooms are a bit difficult to access as you have to exit the restaurant and ascend two flights of stairs after passing through the lobby. Our waitstaff were awesome and friendly.
Great breakfast place tucked into the Hotel Victoria. Coffee is hot and fresh, and they leave you a spherical cannonball pot at the table.
I had the "Completely Healthy Breakfast" which had egg white scramble (not really scramble but a rough folding), a small bowl of fresh fruit, a small bowl of porridge with a few soft and plump raisins and some brown sugar, and a slice of your choice of toasted bread. My daughter had the Greek omelette which was fluffy, large and well filled, plus a side of chopped potato hash.
The venue is bright and airy (ceiling is quite high), and there are many booth options. Regular tables are not packed in like some other places.
My new favourite breakfast place! I ordered the veggie skillet and it was really good. My friend ordered the big breakfast and that was really yummy too. The pancake was fluffy and the sausuage was pretty great as well. Have been in this neighborhood for a while and I definitely should have visited this place before. The staff were really friendly but can get super busy.
