My friends and I came here on a whim and omg best decision ever. I got the butter chicken grilled cheese sandwich and sweet potato fries and it was like I died and gone to heaven. The server was so freaking nice. Like it blew my mind how nice she was. I didn't drink so I can't rate the beers, but I give this place 5 stars because my food was amazing. God bless this establishment.
Hair of the Dog is my go-to place for brunch, and I'm very lucky to live close by. The staff is always friendly and the service is excellent. Try the breakfast poutine over a pitcher of mimosa for a boozy brunch Sunday! You won't be disappointed. I just wanted to extend my thanks to the staff yesterday for accommodating the large, annoying crowd for my birthday. You guys rock. See you soon I'm sure š.
Good nachos and sangria
Great local eats if living near the Village. This place has been around for a while now and the menus have evolved since it first opened. If you're looking for slightly glorified comfort food, this place has some pretty interesting twists like the butter chicken grilled cheese sandwich (not my cuppaābut if you're really into butter chicken this dish is for you) Nice patio during warmer season. My all-time favs are their nachos and sangria
Another great spot out in the Church and Wellesley area where you can grab a selection of great beers and food from a wide variety kn the menu
We had dinner here last Thursday. I ordered the Indian Curry w/ Chicken and she ordered the Fish and Chips. My meal was okay. It started off well but in the end I felt it missed the mark. The flavours were decent enough but weren't consistent throughout the whole dish. Her fish and chips were great - the batter to fish ratio was "spot on" and the fries were of the chip truck variety...lil malt vin, lil ketchup...not bad! I wasn't a big fan of the tartar sauce but the fish was good on it's own. I'll give this place another try but will skip the curry. Service was good - pleasant & attentive.
Loved the brunch! Benedict florentine and huevos rancheros are the absolute best choice in the world for avid veggie brunch seekers. Coffee was good too and the whole hipster dog theme definitely adds a special vibe.
There is not a lot to say about this establishment, all I can say is.
Fantastic name, not to be forgotten!
Lovely food, no condiments required, top job chef.
Great atmosphere
Wonderful and friendly staff
Excellent value for your hard earned money
Highly recommended for a refreshing time out if that floats your boat
My friends enjoy coming here for brunch or drinks and snacks at night. It's a great central place to meet and they've got a great drink selection and menu. The nachos are a staple item but if you're checking it out for brunch, the crab cake Benedict is a solid choice.
Was uncertain about going here because of mixed reviews in service and food. Had a Caesar and a quesadilla. Both were tasty and the service was good. No hovering, gave my friend and I space but made sure to check in with us every now and again. I would go back.
Great cozy place. Love the atmosphere and service is really friendly. The food is delicious as well. The pork chop is phenomenal! A great place for a casual hangout with friends and/or a chill and comfortable date ;) enjoy!
Love it here!. Best place for a drink in the area. Great service, tasty food (potato skins.... yumm) and their hair of the dog lager is a good beer at a good price.
Awesome!. Best nachos in the city, great patio in the summer, friendly staff and kick ass caesars.
