Great food. Great vibe in the place. Loved the "bourbon cart" but that's definitely a pricey option. Spent Canada Day 150 there. The meals were good portions and filling. The food seemed to come to our table in no time after placing our order. Good music playing in the background. I didn't get it but I would recommend the Platter meal for 2. It looked very good. The service was amazing. Many staff were eager to help me with any need, not just my designated waiter. The waiter for our table was great though! I swear he ran over to fill my glass of water every 3 sips I had. He was very professional even though I heard him tell someone else that he had only been working there for 2 months. Overall a good place to go for a night out of fine dining.

I recently went to the Carbon Bar for dinner after hearing amazing reviews from friends and it definitely met and exceeded my expectations! It started with great staff that welcomed us and were very attentive and friendly throughout our stay. The food was amazing!!! We ordered the KFC (Korean Fried Cauliflower) and Corn Hush Puppies as appetizers - the corn hush puppies are my new favourite app! So good! We shared the Pit Master Platter which I highly recommend if you visit. You get pork ribs, beef brisket, and fried chicken. It is a must have if you go! I will definitely be recommending Carbon Bar to my friends and family!! And can't wait to go back!

really excellent food in a modern environment

Visited Carbon for the first time this week for dinner, and was really really impressed with the entire experience. Reserved table was ready, wait staff were attentive and helpful with the menu, and the food was exceptional. The ribs were the best I have had in a long while, and the sides are pretty amazing too...don't miss the KFC appetizer and the mac and cheese is sinful. Can't wait to eat there again!

After a company customer event, about 8 of headed to The Carbon Bar for dinner. Large dining room, high ceilings, elegant decor all made for a comfortable atmosphere.

We started out by sharing the huge Fishmonger Platter, which had a variety of tastes and textures: oysters, snow crab ,Argentinian wild shrimp, little neck clams, mussels, mezcal & lime cured salmon, tuna ceviche nikkei. Not sure I could pick a favourite in that bunch. It was all good.

Then we shared the Pit Master Platter, which was also huge and filled with St. Louis cut pork ribs, prime beef brisket, buttermilk fried chicken, dill pickles and fries on the side. All good, but my favourite was the brisket; lean, smoky, tender and lots of flavour.

Finally we shared an indulgent (and huge) Rocky Road Sundae. Finished the meal on a sugar high.

Fortunately someone else picked up the tab. 🙂

Quiet at 4:30pm but started to fill when we left at 6:30 on a Monday night. Food was better than average for bar food. Decor was kinda industrial. Friendly staff. I wish they had a solution for their fly problem. It was distracting.

Girls night! When my friends come from out of town, we’ve got to go out for dinner, drinks and good times. I wanted to try somewhere I’d never been and Carbon Bar, at Queen and Church, had been on my list for awhile! Reservations were made and off we went. . The unusually large entrance welcomed us as we were seated. High ceilings with sleek lighting greeted us with trendy, yet comfortable décor. At the front of the dining area is a large bar with seating all around with more fabulous lighting and wood accents. This place is on point!

Earlier this week, I had the chance to check out The Carbon Bar to take part in their lobster burger promotion. This was my first visit to The Carbon Bar, and I was in awe of its space. The look was of a vintage yet updated rock-and-roll discotheque diner with high ceiling and an open kitchen. Overall, it was a lively atmosphere with a large cocktail bar situated in the middle of the dining space.

Currently, The Carbon Bar has an ongoing promotion where you can get a Nova Scotia Lobster Burger for only $20 with the purchase of an Alexander Keith's beverage. Hurry in soon, as the promotion is only available until the end of September. I had the pleasure of trying the special deal earlier this week, and thoroughly enjoyed devouring the burger. The Alexander Keith's Nova Scotia Burger was a sky-high burger with pit smoked bacon truffles hollandaise, beef steak tomato, dill pickle, and Old Bay mayo. The burger itself was quite a mouthful, and filled with large lobster chunks for the lobster lover. The bacon truffles hollandaise added a nice balance to the overall flavor, and the strip of bacon provided a good crunch. Lastly, the burger contained a surprisingly large amount of meat and coated with a lightly fried patty.

The Carbon Bar has always been on my endless list of restaurants in Toronto to eat at least once. Since we were there for dinner, we decided to splurge and got a bunch of other dishes on the menu as well. First and foremost, we got our meat fix by ordering two portions of the Pit Master Platter (minimum 2 people) ($30 per person). Note that you need at least two people to order this platter, and it was more than enough for the four of us. The Southern-US inspired platter was plentiful with pork ribs, beef brisket, buttermilk fried chicken, coleslaw, pickles, fries & chipotle mayo.

Phenomenal food, trendy decor & atmosphere, and fantastic service. The staff there was efficient and polite when we notified them that we were in a hurry to get to a show. The food came quick but it was all still flawless. We unfortunately had to rush through dinner but already have plans to go back so we can stay and enjoy for longer!

This place is amazing! Great drinks food and atmosphere! The space is so cool it use to be the old electric circus stomping grounds! All the drinks that I've tried were amazing and different! It's a smoked BBQ house but for some reason my favorite dish was the Octopus! I know it sounds weird but it is a must try item! Also I would recommend the KFC ( Korean fried cauliflower ) , and the pit master platter! This place is definitely a hot spot and I would say a must try restaurant when your in town!

A few weeks ago my husband took me here, it was our first time. It doesn't look like much from the outside but wow, it is huge! It is definitely a live spot and I would recommend making reservations as we did. My expectations were pretty high, but I was kind of disappointed. First of all, the service was nothing special at all, our server was very inattentive. I loved their shrimp ceviche though, hands down delicious! Their octopus was cooked beautifully but I found the beans and egg that came on the same skillet didn't enhance the flavour profile one bit. Beans were pretty bland, so pretty disappointing. Their deep fried beef brisket was on the salty side so it was hard to enjoy.  The duck tacos were delightful...that and th ceviche alone is enough to bring me back here though.

Went for the chef's tasting menu which I was a great way to try a range of dishes. My personal highlights was the salmon, fried chicken and meat platter. The fried chicken was so tender and the brisket was very juicy. More of an upscale BBQ place but a great place for a treat. Good selection of cocktails and local beers too! We were a big table and the staff were fantastic even on a busy Saturday night!

Service was fast and efficient. Decor was very modern and stylish had a very comfy relax feel. Drinks were on point. Food was great, the mix meat platter was alot of options and satisfied all cravings. Dessert was not bad as we picked the chef mixed choice, but was just enough for everyone to share after that stuffing meal.

First time going and it was amazing! Everything was delicious and the quality of food was amazing! Everything was seasoned well. Tried the Chef's tasting menu and was 100% worth it, super filling. Definitely coming back! Service was impeccable as well, kudos team!

Came here for some drinks and a catch up with old colleagues. We had a reservation and we're seated promptly - we went over our time limit by quite a bit and they were accommodating until another reservation came in. I had the pork tacos and they were delicious- i just wished it was three instead of two, that would have been the perfect combination. my colleague really enjoyed their food as well, they said the steak was cooked to the perfect consistency. One of my colleagues is a big bourbon drinker and was really happy to see the cart - hats off to the ops manager, he knows his stuff!

Lovely funky restaurant. Do make a reservation as it gets fully booked even in low season. Great ambience. Low lighting and super friendly and attentive staff. Food was great. They serve a meat platter for $38 and it's enough for 2 especially if you order appetizers. We went 2 nights in a row and thoroughly recommend this place. Good prices and good food. The staff are the stars of this place

The environment was modern-chic; the lighting made it for an intimate time within a busy restaurant. The waitresses were all amazing, attentive, knowledgeable, and helpful. Now, let's move to the food. For the starter, we ordered the KFC (Fried Caulliflower), it was so crispy and flavourful that we were amazed and couldn't get enough of. For main course we had the Hot Smoked Salmon and Prime Beef Brisket. The salmon was one of the best salmons I've ever had. The fish was cooked to perfection and it was very fluffy. The curry sauce was absolutely delicious and you could taste every flavour. The Brisket was flavourful and it melted in your mouth. The sauce house sauce was like the cherry on top for the brisket. For dessert we ordered the Banoffee Pie and we were pleasantly surprised with how perfect it was. The toffee was well done and not overly sweet, the vanilla chantilly was balancing the sweetness of the toffee and the brulee bananas were a beautiful compliment. Drinks: we got the Pillow Talk, Whiskey Sour, and Barrel on the Beach and all three were perfection. 100% will comeback to try the Carbon Experience!

Awesome BBQ, sides and drinks. It’s a big spot and has a bumping atmosphere. We celebrated a birthday party and everyone was very accommodating. They have a chef’s table, but it was already booked, so we were seated in the front booth as a group of 9 which was nice too. The brisket was very juicy and worth the trip alone. Desserts less so but by that time we ate so much it didn’t matter.

Had a great experience at Carbon Bar on a Friday night! The brisket was to die for, so juicy and tender. Cocktails were great too! Great service as well. Highly recommend this place 10/10
