This was a great dining experience in all aspects. First, we had a really friendly and warm waitress. She was very helpful with the recommendations and suggestions, which improved our experience. Second, the food was fantastic. The quality and taste of everything was top-notch. Ordering the Spot Prawns with Garlic Bread was a great choice. We also had the Tuna Mexicano, which had some really unique but amazing flavours. For the entree, we shared the Smoked Wild Spring Salmon. Again, it was fantastic and I have no complaints at all about it. We decided to try the dessert and had a slice of the Basque Cheesecake. It wasn’t too sweet which I prefer. The prices here may be on the high end, but they’re absolutely worth it. Definitely make a reservation well in advance.
Truly outstanding food- we enjoyed the innovative take on fried oysters, the kelp seaweed salad (not your sushi joint’s usual), a halibut sausage, a gorgeous halibut with eggplant and a green mole (!!), and the cream puff. Also, a perfect BC Rose from Scout that’s way too hard to find, plus a couple solid cocktails. The service was also professional. You can wear whatever you want- just go.
Lovely service, great atmosphere with lots of light and windows. Food was excellent. We enjoyed the halibut with butter chicken sauce and the Gnudi with yam and Brussels sprout sides. Everything was cooked perfectly, so fresh and satisfying.
Amazing food and amazing service. They have a good menu selection. We were a group of 10 and everyone enjoyed their meals. I would recommend this place if you are visiting Tofino. Keep in mind their menu changes a lot so it might not be the same when you decide to go there.
Came to Wolf in the Fog on recommendation from nearly everyone we talked to about our trip to Tofino. The bar was extensive and experienced bartenders prepared and served interesting cocktails. Upscale dishes were presented in a beautiful and very timely manner (dare I say too fast, although this is likely due to our reservation at restaurant opening). The wait staff were warm, and extremely knowledgeable about the dinner and cocktail menus. All together, we very much enjoyed our meal here, although we both agreed that the price paid for the meal left us wanting upon completion. Worth the try, decide for yourself!
What can I say, this restaurant is absolutely fantastic. The interior, staff, vibes are brilliant. And then there is the food. Unbelievable. There wasn’t one dish on the menu we didn’t want to eat. The dishes we did go for were utterly delicious. We live in central London (UK) and are spoilt for choice for restaurants but few could compete with this place. I would go as far as saying you shouldn’t visit tofino without going to this restaurant. Oh and make sure you ask to eat upstairs vs the bar downstairs.
I enjoyed the atmosphere and friendly staff. It gets quite busy even during the weekdays.
We had to wait in line for about 10 minutes to just get in and luckily we were the last to get a table in second floor in Thu 5pm. So recommended to make reservations in advance.
Food was delicious (prices high too) and the portions are not very large.
Dish decoration was right as good as Restaurant decoration.
I loved the burger 🍔
Great experience overall! We tried the fried oysters, lamb pasta, baked halibut and basque cheesecake. The pasta and cheesecake were my favorite items, both had great portions. The decor and ambiance was really nice, tables are well spaced and the music choices are fantastic.
