Review The Voyageur Dining Room - Timmins

Avoid if possible, not worth the price!! We booked our stay for 1 night spa package, we arrived from out of town and asked for an early check in. We weren’t granted that because the house keeping had to make sure the room was perfect so without any fuss we waited for a few hours till 3. You would think the room was perfect since it was now ready. Wrong! Once we got into the room (down a very dark hallway for 3 pm..) the room still had leftover rose petals from the guest before us, around the bed and in the bathroom. After sanitizing the room myself I opened up the sheets to find the bed sheets/protector stained yellow. When I confronted the manager and front desk, he left to check and never returned. I didn’t receive an apology and the worst part was the house keeping came to argue with me that it was indeed clean and that the stains don’t come out!! You would think that for 450$/night and not to mention a brand new Dodge Ram company truck parked in the front, that they could afford new sheet protector for their junior suite?! We didn’t stay the night! If you’re looking for the spa, it was great. Stay at another hotel and visit the spa!!

Hi all, I stayed 2 nights in room 126 which is next to the spa. My stay was excellent. I was greeted by Riley & Jeannine. They are amazing and very helpful. At the bar I was served by Sean, Lindsay & Lisa and again great service. I enjoyed the 10oz steak so much that I had it on both nights. At the spa I was greeted by Jacinthe who was extremely helpful in explaining the process and what to do at the spa. Thank you all for making my stay quite comfortable.

Had a excellent spa weekend. The nature baths we’re so relaxing. Staff are very polite and friendly. Server (Amy) in the restaurant was most courteous with her smile and wishing us a safe trip home and saying please come back soon. That made it all the more special for us.

Stayed for two nights in one of the suits. The room itself was clean and well kept. Bed was a little lumpy and the table a little wobbly. Had a nice fire place and jacuzzi tub, the shower had two shower heads which was really nice. The spa service was excellent. Customer service was great, the massage therapist was professional and very good. We were lucky enough to be there during a slow time, which resulted in us being the only ones in the Nordic Baths. It was a fantastic experience. Relaxing and intimate. Pools were clean and the spa was very quiet. Ordered room service for breakfast, wasn't very warm. But was delivered within 10mins. Very quick service. Dinner at the restaurant was delicious, the presentation of the food was nice, and amazing customer service from our waitress. Enjoyed the Gin Fizz beverage very much, and I really recommend the artichoke dip.

Wife and I enjoyed the spa it was wonderful and even dinner was wonderful, our room however was really outdated for the price. Screen door had a huge rip in it. Fire alarm kept going off and I had to look for staff who worked there. Walked around the hotel for a good hour both up and downstairs to find out the front desk employee was in his van smoking and when I found him he was very defensive and his solution was to take batteries out of the fire alarms and hope for best...... Needless to say we left

I really liked the Nordic Spa but Steam room had a weird smell. Sauna was amazing. As for the hot tub and the pool....was not clean. There was a lots of dirt in the hot tub even a dirt rim all around. Was gross. The changing rooms....sooooo much water on the ground. The lunch was amazing. Something that would add nicely...a little self serve coffee spot :-)

Terrible experience, was told on the phone there was a snowmobile rate of 129 a night. I called 3 separate times to clarify dates and price. All three times was told the same 129 a night. Did not receive an email invoice just a charge for $1200 dollars for 2 rooms. When I called and spoke with management they had no solution, just that they have some new staff members that may have mad a mistake. I was not refunded any money. Ontop of everything the power was out and they still charged us for breakfast when it was closed. And would not refund me. I will not return. Very disappointed.

Did the feeding tour and it was awesome! The elk were so friendly, the deer were funny and the bison were incredible! The gentleman who drove was kind and patient. He made a special stop to point out a bald eagle nest!
