If you've never tried Korean-Chinese food, go to Sunny Dragon Chinese Restaurant!. Happy Wednesday friends!. Right now in Montreal, it is snowing quietly all day, covering all the roads and streets. I’m reminiscing on the hearty Korean-Chinese food I had with Ken the last few times we were in Toronto today, so I thought I would share our experience with you!
Jajangmyeon!. I was introduced to Jajangmyeon and other Korean-Chinese dishes and instantly fell in love. The food and service here is great! Portions are very generous for the price. Would recommend if you're looking for Korean cuisine outside the standard KBBQ.
Last night I went to one of my favorite Korean restaurant, Sunny Dragon. Located in Thornhill this place is best known for their noodle dish, jajangmyeon. It consists of wheat noodles with diced meat and veggies all drenched in black soybean paste sauce. Here is a combination dish with half of the famous noodles and half stir fried rice. I thought I would snap two shots so you can see how it looks when you mix up the noodles. Trust me it's much more yummier than it looks. Also their noodles are freshly mad
Sunny Dragon is one of the places that you might miss. The board outside the restaurant proclaims it to be a “Korean Chinese”. Not too bad too look at we seated ourselves. A friendly hostess offered us the menu. I picked up the one I understood (truth be told). It was this Chicken noodles with veggies. Along with green tea the noodles arrived. I have never had Korean food before so I should point out that it was pretty good and it might help my affiliation towards the Korean cuisine. I love green tea so that was a lovely accompaniment.
The portions are generous and the menu is big. I'm not reallysure what kind of cuisine 'Korean Style Chinese' is, but I cantell you that's fairly tasty. There's not much in the way of atmosphere to the place; it'sa little rough around the edges, but nothing's falling apart. Then again, for the prices you pay there (my meal cost me alittle over $12), you shouldn't expect too much in the way ofeye candy on the walls.
