Listen, you control the quality of your meal at this place. The meat they have bought me for my countless visits is always good, and the service at this location has always been outstanding. It did not matter if I had come with a group of 8 people or with a co worker, Korean Grill House has always been consistent with keeping me full and more than satisfied
Decided to check out the owl special. After 10pm it is $12.99 per person. We went on a weekday so it wasn't busy.
As soon as you get in. They get the grill started which was very clean (it isn't so clean after its done being used). They have a good air filteration system so the smoke isn't bothersome. But prepare to leave smelling like BBQ.
They bring out these small sides (rice, tofu, flavoured bean sprouts, kimchi). Tofu was bad, and I wasn't a big fan of the rice either. If you want more sides I think they charge you for it.
It is all you can eat but only order what you can eat because you will get charged extra for the uneaten meat.
Beef: The first batch of meat was large and hardly any fat on it and you get it on the grill and it cooks fast and is very flavorful. Each batch is 2-3 medium, thin slices of meat. As you keep ordering I noticed the quality of meat starts decreasing, smaller thinner and much fattier pieces.
Chicken: Now as tasty as It was. It took much longer to cook. You need practice when cooking chicken as its easier to get food poisoning. The pieces were thin and somewhat fatty.
Fish: least favorite, wasn't as tasty and it stuck to the grill so after salvaging what we could we only had a few bites. Now you'd assume that it would be free of fish bones. Nope! Learned the hard way as I sat there very uncomfortable early into my meal with a fish bone stuck in my throat.
Each time you want more, you check it off and they bring it. Here is something interesting, when we ordered our last bath, the portions and quality was just like the first ordered batch.
Overall, $13 a person is worth it. I would probably never pay $20 plus for it. A few reviews complained about slow service. Maybe we lucked out because they were attentive. They do add a tip to your bill.
Tip: edge of a toast with peanut butter gulped down takes care of the fish bone issue.
Great place for Korean (cook it yourself) barbecue at very reasonable prices. Has an authentic Asian look and feel without trying to hard to be some sort of trendy place. The food is good and fresh with a variety of items to select.
