Review Eggsmart - Thornhill

Went here on a Sunday, they were EXTREMELY short staffed. Given that it was a Sunday after the thunderstorm, they were probably busier than they expected. They had lots of dine in guests as well as lots of takeout orders because people were out of electricity in the neighborhood. The meal itself took a long time to come and the flavors were decent. We got the Trifecta, the French Benny and the Baja Benny. The amount of Pico on the Benny could be more and they should've served more than just a thin slice of cantaloupe with the breakfasts. The one server who was working was very efficient and did a great job trying to get everyone seated, taking their orders, serving coffees, serving the meals and taking payment. The way she kept her calm and kept going was very impressive.

The staff of this breakfast restaurant is simply amazing. Super friendly and food is served with a smile. Anything wrong with your order and they are quick to fix no question asked. Watching people come in as we are, they turned out to be regulars who knew the staff like close friends. Very good place, recommended .. A+

Food was decent. Nothing to brag about though. We saw the table beside us send back a completely black-burnt plate of toast lol. Not sure how this place has a better star score than Ramona's kitchen. I came on a Sunday morning around 10am. Maybe it's better during the week?

Such a wonderful dining experience here with my parents this morning. Asif was welcoming, funny, and provided us with impeccable service! The food was *delicious* and the bottomless coffee was much needed 😊 Definitely coming back!!

Came to have breakfast, which was delicious as always. The cook here is super awesome. My low rating is due to witnessing three Uber Eats drivers waiting to pickup orders that hadn't been made yet. New wait staff, some kind of mess up with orders. One driver came in and the waitress told him "there's no order" while the driver clearly had an order to pick up. Neither waitress knew what was going on. It seemed that the wrong orders were given to the wrong drivers. It irritated me because the waitresses were telling the cook "just make another one" and the cook said "I've already made this, where is it?" And neither waitress seemed to know what was going on.

Service was awful. Explained that we had a family funeral to attend when we were approached 15 minutes after we arrived. 15 minutes later we were told our food would be ready in 10 minutes. 15 minutes later we found out that our order hadn't even been started. We were just 5 of the unhappy customers. There were others complaining. The owner should get rid of the wait staff to start. They stood around behind the counter doing nothing and not even looking out at the seated customers. Will NEVER return there.

firstly the service was slow. The food was average. I had to wait so long for the waitress to bring over the machine to pay. I ended up walking over to her. Here’s the main issue - the waitress had a very bad odour to her. I highly recommend to management that they ensure their staff are clean. It was quite offensive.

Visiting from Ottawa and decided to give this place a try for breakfast. Tables and bathroom were filthy! Our orders were broght to us on dirty plates, hair found throughout the food and food was mostly burnt and tasted awful! When we brought this to the attention of our sever, the cook began yelling at us. My youngest vomited after a few bites. Cook wears his mask under his chin while preparing food. Do yourself a favor and skip this place!

2019/06/03<br/>Today was Toasted Western Day in our family, so three of us headed to Eggsmart for something eggy for lunch. It was getting close to 1 pm, so the main rush was over. <br/><br/>SWBMO and I both had Toasted Western Sandwiches, which were proper Westerns with ham, onion and green pepper. I would have swapped their home fries for a salad, but there upcharge of more than $3 seemed a bit steep. <br/><br/>Our server threw in a few corny jokes into the mix. Overtake pleasant meal.

The food here is excellent and the service is pretty good. Some days they get too busyand it's too hard for one girl to cover the whole restaurant .'Red" the chief cook does agreat job. On weekends after 9am they get in extra staff which helps. They sometimesbring in a young boy from their Warden location who is a great help to the girls andis always there to fill up your coffee cup. I have to say that overall the food is alwaysfresh and never greasy. Both Anna and Maroon have wonderful personalities and arealways friendly and courteous with their customers.

There was a long hair in my food. To my surprise, they refused to change the food and charged me for the plate. <br/>Though a chain restaurant, you expect it to be clean, or your plate to be "hair-free"!

Right before we headed downtown for the Board Games for Nepal event to raise awareness and funds for the Nepal earthquake relief fund, Herman and I headed to Eggsmart for a western brunch.  I had passed by this location of Eggsmart many times before when I used to frequent this area last year but never went in for a meal.  On this rainy Sunday morning, there were actually a lot of people inside the restaurant and it was a full house at one point.  Who knew that there were so many people frequently this restaurant?

Paris restaurant. Waited 35 minutes for our order. Put that down to a busy Sunday morning. But the three overpriced (6.99) pancakes that tasted like wallpaper paste were not on. These are made from what tastes like the cheapest (add water only) mix and were heavy, dull and bad tasting. I left two of three on the plate and told the waitress they were awful. She hopes I have better luck with them when I come back next time. I usually don't order something that bad twice. Then we asked to see the manager and "he is too busy to come to the table now". Do we think that the whole chain lost customers. We will never go back.

We were 4, 2 adults and 2 kids. My nephew ordered the waffle with fruits that was burnt on the bottom ( they tried hiding it) the fruits were stale and somewhat mushy. My wife's decaf never came. The waitress never came around to refill my "bottomless" coffee. I love eggsmart but this location sucked!

I ordered the breakfast special with sausage butterflied and well done. Not only was it not butterflied but it tasted off. I told the server multiple times to which she responded 'that was just cooked'.<br/>Uh, the meat is bad no matter when it was cooked! She basically told me I was wrong. I wasn't looking for a discount or a free meal, an acknowledgement would have sufficed.<br/>Terrible customer service, will NOT return. Many options in the area and Eggsmart just lost us.

Next time if I decide on going out for breakfast, I'm gonna make sure it's either at timhortons, what a bagel, ikea or McDonald's ..sorry, the food was to fatning, I felt like I gained double the pounds then I would if I were in mcdonalds and the prices were way to expense for the food being served, I felt sick after eating the sausage and I have never had this problem before,

Best Restaurant in Thornhill. I have never been to a better restaurant in this area.Customer Service is the best,size of the portions are very large and the atmosphere is terrific.All the waitresses,Joyce,Diane,Gina and Paris are always at your table to make sure that your coffee cup is always full.The cooks,Andreus and Nick,make sure that you don't go home hungry.The restaurant sits about 50 people without being squished and I've never had to wait for a table.This restaurant is kept very clean and spotless.Good choice of breakfast items ranging from cereal to omellettes to eggs with bacon ham or sausages to waffles or pancakesI would rate this restaurant a 5 star.

Disappointing. The kitchen service was extremely slow, to the point where we almost left before getting our food. Location small - no room in the front to wait for seating. The chairs leave little space between the chairs at the neighbouring tables. The vegetable omelette was tasteless. Adding salt is the chef's job not the diner.

Smoked salmon overpowered eggs Benedict. Very generous with hollandaise sauce. I would prefer no meat and less sauce
