The Systematic registration process and treatment for all medical emergencies. Staff are kind enough to guide us. The Doctors are giving good treatment. The only challenge here is waiting hours to get out turn.

Not sure why people are giving Surrey Memorial hospital bad reviews. Here is my experience: - The staff (nurses / doctors) were all patient and nice - I phone to see where my mom was and the operator was nice - lady at the front also directed me the right way and was also nice * only issue I had really was the 2 guys smoking outside by the front door (for 2 hours ugh) and parking is an issue. Overall excellent service !!

I’ve been to this hospital twice now, once in the imaging department and once in the family & birthing unit. Both visits have been amazing, the doctor or tech? In the anatomy scan was AMAZING he made me feel so happy and I loved his attitude. I wish I asked for his name, he put a smile on my face when all I’ve been having were horrible visits (at other locations) baby didn’t want to give us a good side profile (which he needed to see the nose) but he was also determined to get me “an amazing side picture” of my baby for me. I will always remember that moment. The other time I was here for an emergency in the family & birthing unit and the doctor and nurses took such good care of me. Everyone was so friendly and I truly love this hospital. I cannot wait to give birth here.

The nurse at the entrance today around the afternoon hours was very kind and welcoming. Her empathy made me feel a lot better and I felt the hospital did a great job overall. The wait times are a bit long but that's to be expected in any hospital you go to. Shoutout to this nurse working at the entrance of the ER department (May 16, 2023), you give a great reputation to the nurses working at this hospital.

Their paediatric emergency room was well run. The staff was kind and thorough with my son. The wait was around 3 hours but that’s expected with the overburdened hospitals and staff across the province. I also appreciated the follow up appointment they provided to check up on my son after the emergency visit l. Overall a very good experience.

Honestly, the only hospital I go to. I've had horrible experiences at all hospitals but this one. Nurses, doctors, everyone has always been kind and helpful. They've saved my life on countless occasions.

I usually never have a good experience in the emergency department but yesterday Dr.Jasleen Gill was treating me and she was amazing. She wasn’t rushing anything and answered all my questions with concern and care. I really appreciated her patience and kindness. She is an amazing doctor!

Staff at the hospital is very friendly and caring, they are overburdened and overworked. Fraser health keeps increasing the number of patient to nurse ratio so the workload keeps going up. Staff does their best to provide patient care to each patient and they also are very empathetic. Patient care is great, system is overburdened, we need another hospital and more facilities like SMH.

Went to Emerg recently. The wait was ridiculous, not because of the staff, but because so many go there for trivial things because they can't get a family doctor and the clinics are overwhelmed. Every single staff member I encountered was highly personable, efficient, and caring. Even though I was having a bad day due to a painful accident, I was pleased with my experience there.

Most the staff here are very exceptional. Pauline from the imaging department was professional and really knows what she’s doing. Props to her. Overall a good hospital, short staffed at times but generally very good.

Another hospital, and it's pretty high tech and updated. Been treated well, but the fact it's a hospital, serving cold hospital food haha. Is what it is.

I want to give a special call out to two nurses first Catherine who treats me like I am her mother. And Second Zahin just the best nurse I have ever had. Kind compassionate sand always caring. No matter what I do that is dumb like spilling a whole glass of milk all over my bed. And another nurse Prav who made my stay lovely. Nurses work 12 hours and need partners for lunch dinner and breaks- my best back up nurse is Edgar- an amazing man and I miss him Having said this there is not one nurse that I have come across on this ward that is not exceptional. I am so impressed with this ward. The cleaning staff is amazing too. I think Surrey Memorial Hospital ward care should be a 12 out of 10 rating. I have been in Orthopaedics for over two weeks. Many different nurses. Hospitalists and techs and porters etc. all of them exceptional PT and OTs My current hospitalist is so amazing she took care of everything acid reflux nausea high heart rate etc etc. my story I came in through non emergency ambulance and was able to walk when I came in but I was clearly declining. I have stage 4 cancer- a tumor on my sacrum grew and the inflammation also grew ending me up with a nerve ball electrical shock wave that shook my leg into the air uncontrollably causing my thigh muscle to cease from groin to knee the hamstring and thigh. I could do nothing when it finally dropped onto the bed I had a broken femur. Imagine if this had happened to me alone at home. The event would have happened regardless. That happened on the 5 th the medical procedure to seal blood vessels for surgery happened the evening of the 6th surgery the morning of the 7th. At the time I was in Emergency care and they were amazing. The population this hospital serves is massive. Emergency is a long wait and if you end up in the hall you can be ignored for hours if they deem you stable. On the other hand when you get to a ward you could not get better care. My sister a cardiologist nurse from Ontario came to ensure I was receiving good care . She was so impressed by my hospital. It is clean the nurses are amazing. They have the latest tools and technology.they are kind and loving with their patients. And work in a team approach. They listen to you concerns and follow up. Oh and the hospital food is great too. I still have a long journey ahead but believe I will walk out of hospital when it is time to go with my cancer in remission. I think the hospitalist was the best idea they ever had. They are generalists doctors (the old family doctor the throws a wide net over their patients to be sure all the specialists are not missing anything. They take on all the patients in their section and unlike narrowly focussed specialtist often see things that they may have missed. One diagnosed my CDif- I was so impressed. If you need a surgery this is the place to be. Thanks Dr Mathers my Femur surgeon.

Checked myself into emergency having had worsening chest pains while exercising and everything went like clockwork. They got me to see a cardiologist promptly after hearing about a history of family heart disease and got me checked in immediately to the cardiac ward. Although I was experiencing no pain at the time they insisted on me staying until they could get me in for an angiogram to find out I had 90% blockage in an artery which they stented and saved my life! The care from the doctors and nurses while I was in there was second to none absolutely the kindest and most attentive I have ever experienced!
