The Systematic registration process and treatment for all medical emergencies. Staff are kind enough to guide us. The Doctors are giving good treatment. The only challenge here is waiting hours to get out turn.
Not sure why people are giving Surrey Memorial hospital bad reviews.
Here is my experience:
- The staff (nurses / doctors) were all patient and nice
- I phone to see where my mom was and the operator was nice
- lady at the front also directed me the right way and was also nice
* only issue I had really was the 2 guys smoking outside by the front door (for 2 hours ugh) and parking is an issue.
Overall excellent service !!
I’ve been to this hospital twice now, once in the imaging department and once in the family & birthing unit. Both visits have been amazing, the doctor or tech? In the anatomy scan was AMAZING he made me feel so happy and I loved his attitude. I wish I asked for his name, he put a smile on my face when all I’ve been having were horrible visits (at other locations) baby didn’t want to give us a good side profile (which he needed to see the nose) but he was also determined to get me “an amazing side picture” of my baby for me. I will always remember that moment.
The other time I was here for an emergency in the family & birthing unit and the doctor and nurses took such good care of me. Everyone was so friendly and I truly love this hospital. I cannot wait to give birth here.
The nurse at the entrance today around the afternoon hours was very kind and welcoming. Her empathy made me feel a lot better and I felt the hospital did a great job overall. The wait times are a bit long but that's to be expected in any hospital you go to. Shoutout to this nurse working at the entrance of the ER department (May 16, 2023), you give a great reputation to the nurses working at this hospital.
Their paediatric emergency room was well run. The staff was kind and thorough with my son. The wait was around 3 hours but that’s expected with the overburdened hospitals and staff across the province. I also appreciated the follow up appointment they provided to check up on my son after the emergency visit l. Overall a very good experience.
Honestly, the only hospital I go to. I've had horrible experiences at all hospitals but this one. Nurses, doctors, everyone has always been kind and helpful. They've saved my life on countless occasions.
I usually never have a good experience in the emergency department but yesterday Dr.Jasleen Gill was treating me and she was amazing. She wasn’t rushing anything and answered all my questions with concern and care. I really appreciated her patience and kindness. She is an amazing doctor!
Staff at the hospital is very friendly and caring, they are overburdened and overworked. Fraser health keeps increasing the number of patient to nurse ratio so the workload keeps going up. Staff does their best to provide patient care to each patient and they also are very empathetic. Patient care is great, system is overburdened, we need another hospital and more facilities like SMH.
Went to Emerg recently.
The wait was ridiculous, not because of the staff, but because so many go there for trivial things because they can't get a family doctor and the clinics are overwhelmed.
Every single staff member I encountered was highly personable, efficient, and caring.
Even though I was having a bad day due to a painful accident, I was pleased with my experience there.
Most the staff here are very exceptional. Pauline from the imaging department was professional and really knows what she’s doing. Props to her. Overall a good hospital, short staffed at times but generally very good.
