Great food. Friendly staff nice environment inside. Relaxing and good prices Prices are reasonable. Near the skytrain. Parking is only drawback
Izumo is my favorite restaurant in the area. I almost everytime get their alaska rolls, spicy salmon sashimi, sometimes prince roll and udon. Every one of it taste SO good. The price is cheap for its outstanding food quality. I have brought friends to this place and they have loved it as well.
Had my Valentine's day meal here today. Nice place with lots of room and booth seating. We were seated and received menu and tea right away. Ordered some sushi rolls and yakisoba. Food came quickly, was delicious, and good sizes. Prices about ~$14/person.
I'm not really a roll person LOL. I'm more of a nigiri kind of girl. In high school I would only eat rolls and avoided raw fish altogether...but now I'm the complete opposite haha!! I use to really be into speciality rolls (Las Vegas Rolls were my thing!!) but now I'm just not keen on things drenched in copious amounts of teriyaki sauce and mayo! Rolls just don't excite me anymore... does this mean I've finally matured?! LOL ;) The restaurant is really tiny, there's only one chef working at the counter, but the food still comes out really quickly! :D Assorted Sushi Combo $11.99 3.5/5 stars I subbed the ika for a piece of salmon instead, because for some weird reason I'm allergic to raw ika LOL. I thought everything was decent haha!! Nothing out of the ordinary, but nothing particularly amazing either, it was pretty much what I was expecting! Everything tasted reasonably fresh by frozen standards. The rice was a little loose but well seasoned with rice vinegar!! :D Nigiri + Teriyaki Beef Lunch Box $10.95 Tempura, Gyoza, Side Salad & Miso Soup! 3/5 stars My dad had his usual bento box, which came with nigiri instead
Surrey Favourite. This is the place to go if you want good Japanese! My boyfriend and I's favourite!!! It's a 1 min walk from King George station. I love sushi and sashimi with a passion. We have tried many items from this menu, so this will be a long review....
Sashimi- delicious, fresh, large portions, awesome! Usually get boats so have tried all kinds.
Rolls- delicious, bursting with flavour, fresh love the special rolls!!! Must try.
Gomae- pretty presentation, really yummy.
Other appy's- didn't care for the scallop and shrimp skewer due to the sauce used.
Tea is pretty good, miso soup isn't bad, love their nigiri, always fresh.
Always has a pretty presentation and friendly service.
The sushi was quite good, although yellow pickles in the futomaki makes it more Korean than Japanese. The katsudon was drowning in sauce. My daughter had the tempura udon and this was delicious.
Good Sushi. We've had both lunch and dinner here and were not disappointed. Service can be slow during the lunch rush but is otherwise good. While on the slightly pricier side, the rolls are consistently good and on par with other popular sushi restaurants. You cannot go wrong with the Salifornia, Rainbow and Mango rolls!
Clean and fresh. Service was good would go back.
Izumo. I have eaten here a few times, it's very clean and friendly. the tea is average but it is free. the food is good, the rolls and nigiri are fresh. the prices are medium.. 4 people can eat for about 35$ so it's pretty good. i would recommend it to all my friends. plus it's next to the skytrain, making it easy to access. :)
