Have been going here since The Carvery opened. Never disappointed. You can tell all the ingredients are made fresh.
Was visiting Canada and saw this place online, checked it out, and holy Toledo it was incredible!! I got the Reuben and chicken buffalo chowder soup and both were by far the best sandwich and soup I've ever had in my entire life!!!!! it's a must if you are ever in BC!

Found just off King George Hwy in not the most exotic of locations adjacent to Avis Rent a Car, The Carvery is an 11 to 4 kind of place, serving pretty good lunches to folks who know where to find them! On the weekends, they do porchetta and brisket, so I chose the Porchetta Sandwich with a bowl of Cream of Broccoli and Cheddar.The bread was very good (filone) being nicely chewy. The pork itself was not bad but when I think porchetta, my mind travels to Meat And Bread in Vancouver and this one did not quite measure up to that standard nor did it have the wonderful cracklings. In fairness, The Carvery is not going the same route and the sandwich has very nice greens, tasty chimichuri and paprika aioli. The soup was wonderful and rich. On another visit, I ordered off their regular menu which has a lot of tempting combinations and classics to offer. A Cubano! I am not an expert but this was a revelation! Roasted mojo (garlic, cumin, oregano and citrus) pork shoulder and smoked ham, with Swiss, pickles and mustard on Cuban loaf, brought me close to tears! Put this on your bucket list! Finally, I got a Lambwich Panini to go. This was also a great pleasure with roasted pulled lamb shoulder, chimichuri, sunny fetta spread (not quite sure but feta?) and greens on ciabatta. Nice! Check out their menu but remember that they have daily specials. Taco Tuesday? And there was a Ham, Macaroni and Cheese Sandwich special when I dropped in.Definitely worth the effort to find!
Sandwiches cover the basics and offer some new inventive options. Lots of rotating specials. Sandwiches are fresh and delicious. Service is very friendly and genuine.
Went here a few weeks ago sandwich was so good glad I didn't get the soup sandwich was so big and full of fresh roasted meat wouldn't have been able to eat a soup as well
Awesome sandwiches, and the guy that makes em is great. Ill definitely be back to tey the rest of the menu. If your in south Surrey you gotta drop in.
Good food at a good price served by nice people in a clean establishment - what more can you ask for ! I've been back several times and plan to keep going.
Why haven't you tried this place yet!!! These guys know sandwiches. Screw Meat and Bread and all those hipster places these guys make real deal sandwiches!
Best place in town if you're craving a soup and a sandwich. I've had most on the menu, the beef dip is by far the best I've ever had and they make their soups from scratch. Super friendly staff and delicious food. Nice place to go on a rainy day for a delicious lunch.

I'm truly amazed at how delicious their sandwiches are. This is coming from someone that doesn't even like sandwiches much. I say the price is well worth it. I loved their porchetta which had dressed greens making it juicier and full of flavor. They also added a piece of crunchy skin on the side... bonus!! The bbq beef brisket was made perfectly. I didn't even need the extra sauce they put on the side. Their bread had a nice crunch on the crust and was soft in the inside. I like the low key vibe of the place. Service was very good. We were asked two different times by two different people if we were doing well.. hard to get this kind of attention anywhere nowadays! Can't wait to go back!
Wonderful sandwich shop. Great variety of hearty, savory and quality sandwiches. Everyone working there was super welcoming. Made great recommendations. We settled on The Godfather and the special Nashville chicken. Both did not disappoint and were very well priced. Will come again
While aware of this place for a few years, I was finally in the area and stopped by to try it. Ordered the Motown Philly.
This sandwich was absolutely delicious. The bread was fluffy and the cheesesteak wasn't too greasy. It wasn't overly salty and you could taste the freshness of the sauteed onions, mushrooms, and pepper.
The location is nice and clean, with a small patio outside.
Will be coming back!
Best beef dip around! Highly recommend stopping in at the Carvery if your craving a delicious sandwich. I always order the beef dip because it's impossible not too. Their soups are also delicious and I have not been disappointed by one. Check them out
The staff are friendly and the food is delicious. What more could you ask for from a restaurant? When we’re in the neighborhood we almost always stop by for lunch. The fried chicken sandwich is worth the hype and the Motown Philly is incredible. To Chef Bryan and the rest of the team at The Carvery Sandwhich Shop: Keep doing what you do.
Update: Add The Mighty Hog Heaven to the list of incredible sandwiches I recommend. Seriously, I’ve never had a bad meal here.
Finally got to try The Carvery and it did not disappoint! Great service despite a busy lunchtime rush. Please consider adding the Banh Mi to the regular menu - so delicious!
Kudos to the staff! They are invaluable asset to the restaurant! They made us feel at home. their sincere and warm service was really felt (and tasted 😊) in their sandwiches. The shop is conveniently located at King George corridor so when you feel like having a sandwich or two, this sandwich shop is highly recommended! This shop seriously serves quality sandwiches!!! Thanks for the wonderful experience!!!
