Review The Taphouse Guildford - Surrey

Went there for the weekend brunch. Brunch item was awesome! Would have given 5 stars if not for the fish & chips I ordered. Wouldn’t call the fish & chips rather maybe fish fingers. Got my longest fries I could find to show how big the fish was served. Will still recommend going for brunch

First time trying food from Taphouse and it was really awesome. Did not think I would like the steak bites appy as much as I did but, that dish was done really well. Nice chunky pieces, not over cooked, and still surprisingly fairly tender even as take out. I liked the dip that comes with it too. Ribs were top notch too. Falling off the bone as you tear pieces of it off. Had the cheesecake and it was ok. I was expecting more of a different texture but, it kind of seemed more like it had a yogurt base, just not my thing. I thought the price was fairly reasonable as the food turned out great overall. Only thing that turned me off was the server who first got to me. Told me there was no ordering through the phone, which I ordered through the phone, otherwise I would not be there to pick up. They then walked off to whatever they were doing before without trying to check if there was an order or not. Had to ask another person to help. Good thing the food was really good.

Had the big T burger it was solid, lots of meat super tall but eat able. I highly recommend the short rib is delicious too. Yam fries all the way. Also the Thai lime bowl was tasty and fresh. Great patio, my little dog got to stay next to your table in the parking lot area.

LOVE this place! With every experience I’ve had at this location, the waitresses were beyond friendly and helpful. The kitchen staff does an amazing job with the food, it come out quick and cooked to perfection! (the Macaroni is to die for) and the overall layout and quality of the place is very enjoyable. This place pays attention to detail and it is noticeable! Highly recommend!!

Had an excellent experience tonight for our first visit to the Taphouse. Our server, Dana D. was a true pro, engaging, friendly and down to earth. In fact, all of the staff we encountered obviously enjoy their jobs and are happy to be there. The food was tasty, fresh, perfectly sized portion, and came out quickly. Great drink and beer selection at good price points. We also enjoyed the music and fun atmosphere. We will be back!

I had a great experience at Taphouse. My friends and I have been going for years and it's always great. Whether you go during the day for lunch or in the evening for drinks it's always a lovely experience. The bartenders Ethan, Noah, Alex and Danny are always great to chat with. Fidel has always treated us like family as well. I send the best regards to Adam for doing such a great job running this establishment.

There are a lot of good to very good neighborhood pubs around the Surrey/Langley region. This is one of them. I sat down with a big screen right in front of me, and was disappointed that it was showing basketball, when I knew there were a couple of important hockey games on. Since I wasn't a regular, I didn't feel like asking for the hockey game. I felt slighted, and I wanted to not like the place. However, the two of us were greeted with friendly efficient service, they had exactly the beer I wanted, and the finger food we noshed on was very tasty. I left feeling like I would be happy to go back when the occasion arose. And next time I might even ask to have a hockey or football game on one of the TVs.

Only went for drinks so can't comment on any food items, but they have good drink specials like the PB&J shots, and happy hour looks decent. Awesome patio tho and a big screen inside to sporting events.

Disappointed is all I have to say. Like some of the other reviewers I have also been to the Taphouse a few times in the last couple of years and this was the worst experience. Me and my girls loved coming here; you could get a decent meal, listen to good music played by a great DJ and dance. Now the food sucks, the music played by a DJ who probably flunked out of DJ school was terrible and the dance floor was packed with a bunch a rude aggressive kids. It's sad that a classy place like your establishment has become so incredincredibly trashy. Was business that bad that you were forced to cater to a younger crowd instead of trying to keep the patrons you already had? Now when I go to back to work on Tuesday and my co-workers ask me how my Friday night was because I was talking about going out I will look like a fool so thanks for that. I will not recommend Taphouse to anyone anytime soon. Also while people watching I noticed how people were dressed; whatever happened to dress codes?

Half ass service and terrible food. Went a while back for a birthday party, you could not even use the upstairs man's bathroom cause the floor was covered in puke. It stayed like that for the duration of our drinks,appys, and our dinner. Also waited for 20 min for a beer. Over all not at all worth the money you pay, it will most likely be time lost in your life you will never get back. I would highly recommend the #GuildfordStation good service and lots of new menu items.

Really frustrated with the service. We waited for 30 minutes after placing the order and still we did not got food to eat. We then told them if they can check whether we can cancel the order and they cancelled the order without even confirming from us and took another ten minutes to inform us that the order was cancelled. What a pathetic service they have....... I would never recommend this place.

Tried this place twice. If you like small portions of overcooled food served at room temperature by bored girls, and like paying top dollar for it... you'll love this place. I won't be back.

This place has gone downhill. I'm sorry you can't call yourself a sports bar and not play sound to the games! It's playoff time and they won't play sound to the games even though 5 Canadian teams are in it. Instead they play clubby music even though it's a Wednesday night. The place is empty. They need to live up to being a sports bar otherwise don't call yourselves that. The only upside... food was alright. They charged us wrong on the bill and there's lots of fruit flies. Don't think I'll be back.

Had a large group (20+) people, made a reservation - Absolutely amazing! The waitress Tran was seriously great, remembered everything, was always smiling. Great place to bring clients, good atmosphere, good food, good drinks, and amazing waitresses. We will definitely be back with clients and on our own.

Best venue I've performed in, best group of people to take me in at a new spot. In oldschool hiphop terms it's "the place to be" haha The pizza is outrageous too 🍕

Everyone was nice had my 20th birthday party there. My waitress was amazing. Food and drinks were great go there alot so know the place well. Enjoyed my party and what they did for me thank you guys so much...

This place is too lit. Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays 3 days in a row is a must. Great music and good people B-) (Y)

I ordered the Tuna Tacos and cream of tomato soup. The soup was excellent and a generous serving. The tacos were quit a sight in the way of presentation, and exciting in flavours. I would have preferred the tuna a little chunkier however. My mom's fries came cold and were replaced by a fresh serving. Everybody else was happy with their meals. The calamari were supposedly exceptional and came with plenty of tsatsiki. <br/>Service was very friendly and accommodating.

The most memorable part of this experience was the rudest waitress. She acted very inconvenienced to be asked for a menu to order food. Never checked on us once. We had to track her down to order food. She seemed offended by that fact. <br/><br/>Never come here if you simply want to enjoy yourself. <br/><br/>Funny that friends have also reported on similar experiences with rude staff no matter the time of day or size of the group. <br/><br/>Don't waste your time. Way better bars in the area that actually want you there. <br/>

Had one of their blue cheese BBQ burgers with beer fries and it was one of the best looking and tasting burgers I have ever had, staff was friendly had a red haired server that seemed to know about everything on the menu. Their craft beer selection is amazing if you like pale ales try Old Jalopy from Powell st.

How does the taphouse have a rating this low?! Their food is awesome! They have a great chef he makes a special eggs Benny for brunch on the weekends that's always out of this world. Their hollaindaise is my favourite from any other place. I don't think there is anything on the menu that I actually don't like and I live nearby so I'm there a lot. They have really great happy hour specials that start again after 9pm. Nightly entertainment including an incredible musician on Tuesday nights who takes requests. Do you know that they offered me a blanket, A BLANKET, once when it was cold on the patio? Their management is incredible, their employees are great the only issue I've ever had is on holidays when it gets too busy it's tough to handle because this place is so popular. I love that every night I go in something different could be happening. 2.2 rating? People must be high off their asses. This place is awesome the responses from the staff who comment on this site are an honest reflection of how great my 50 - 100 meals here have been.

We were interested to see what the Mirage had been converted into so we went to check out the Taphouse. The service was fairly attentive but not friendly. The food was passable but nothing great and my soup and fries were pretty cold. Overall I would have given the Taphouse a passing grade if it hadn't been for what happened as we finished our meal.<br/><br/>On Mondays they apparently play a version of Let's Make a Deal. While they were setting up the game someone asked what the prizes in the boxes were and the manager explained that some were good and some were prank prizes. Someone said, "What, like a cucumber?" and the manager said, "Hey, if you're a woman then a cucumber isn't a bad prize. Some women would be happy with a cucumber. You know... if you ever find a cucumber without the plastic wrapping on it then you know a woman has had it in her.... mouth." Needless to say we were disgusted and left immediately. <br/><br/>TL;DR: It might not be the Mirage anymore but it's still classless and full of misogyny.

Well I thought this place was going to put it together but I guess I was wrong ! After two bad experiences I must say it seems to be going in reverse. I don't get it! A nice place that can't seem to be consistent.if I owned this place I would want Quality at all times at any expense. I see these kind of places gradually go downhill until everyone involved can only shake their heads and say why? Too bad tap house!!

They make good food. I've been here a lot recently for lunch and was surprised to see such a low rating. I've tried pretty much everything on the menu and have to say I've only been disappointed a couple of time. They use high quality ingredients and their side salad is probably one of the better side salads I've had in a pub like atmosphere. I would recommend the taphouse melt and the cajun chicken pesto past and the meat lovers pizza. You can't go wrong with any of those. The service is so-so, it seems to vary from day-to-day. But if you're looking for a good place to watch some sports and have a quick bite I would recommend.

I was not going to write a negative review about this place until I realized a couple of days after that they forgot a pickle - something they advertised with the meal. Sure you might think I am crazy, but that was the kicker for this review. I thought it was just the waitress, but no, there is a larger issue here.<br/><br/>Service: Absolutely nothing welcoming about the service. Our whole table of 14 felt uncomfortable with her mood and tone of voice. Maybe it was a bad day for her, but the fact that she was arguing with my friend's bill, proclaiming that he had two beers instead of one ticked most of us off. In the end, she was wrong and did not even apologize for it. <br/><br/>Food: Above average for a place with bar food. Some inconsistencies with receiving certain items on my friends' plates.<br/><br/>I hope Taphouse understands the idea of a network effect. You displeased 14 people that were new to your restaurant. We cumulatively know at least 50 people who will now talk about our experience.

Good place to go for a beer after work !!!!!!<br/>Great pizza and the staff is pretty good. The place has a nice vibe. <br/><br/>My only issue is that one night I sat on the patio with some friends and watched the security staff harass people over and over again , didn't matter if the people were 20 or 45 !! Wayne get your security staff to start treating your potential costumes right!!! This ain't the old mirage ! I have never had any issues with security so I am just writing about things I've seen . <br/><br/>Again great place ! (Minus the security)<br/><br/>

Master Chef Viewing Party. Just wanted to say what an amazing job the Taphouse did last Sunday. There was a viewing party for local boy competing in Master Chef Canada and we descended on Taphouse with over 200ppl. All the staff went above and beyond to ensure we were all looked after and the food and drinks were spot on. Special thanks to Michael, Drew and the owner himself Wayne, personally taking care of everyone.

Won't go back.. Frequented the Guildford Station on and off for years, which is where I heard about the newly opened Taphouse.<br/><br/>Quite simply, due to the lack of service and the outrageous prices, I will not be back. $37 for a sleeve of Gypsy Tears and entree, that I should have sent back.<br/><br/>Just wasn't a good experience.

Very nice bar inside good vibes good staff and service specialty bar drinks lack in flavour over priced food for average pub food. This is a great place to hang out and have a beer but if your looking for upper scale pub food you make consider looking elsewhere

Simply put.... Awesome. Over the last few years there have been a lot of changes in respect to Pub ownership in Fleetwood, Surrey. Quite a few regulars, who populated the old Fleetwood Pub, had trouble finding something comparable. There is a common consensus that the "regulars" from Fleetwood Pub have had to settle for alternatives in the nieborhood that didn't meet our expectations. I have visited The Taphouse three times in the last 2 weeks and find it very inviting. The entertainment is great, the prices are very reasonable, the food is very good, the staff are very friendly. So far, no late night drama, or intimidating, intoxicated large male groups found elsewhere. <br/>Sports game are aired with great sound quality. Very large big screen and a lot of larger TV's both upstairs and down. Friday and Saturday hosts bands that certainly play to the complete variety of ages. Tunes from the 50's to top 40's create atmosphere from the past for all to dance to. Through the week there is Trivia night, dueling piano night, acoustic music night, etc. So far, it's social environment offering a place to mingle, have a few drinks and dance away the night.<br/>If it turns back into a nightclub or becomes another noisy, uncomfortable feeling Fleetwood area Pub, we'll keep on looking. <br/>None of these comments are directed to the hard to beat, Guildford Station, but they now have a strong competitor in their nieborhood.

Terrible!!!. I was there on March 7tn for my friend Birthday's Party. I arrive there around 10 o'clock at night. I walk in to meet my friends not even say Hi to my friends and have a sit or drink! a bouncer came in and asking me to go outside to talk. Really! I got kick out not even give me a chance to sit or warn all my friends and yes your bouncer kick out all of my friends too. why don't you warn us first if our group was loud. your business is a club? Pub? or just reastaunt? I am confuse we can't talk it loud when they having life music on that nigh. If we can't talk to loud then don't have Life music or DJ because the idea I though is a club that why we go there and have fun! I just dissapointed I came in and got kick out by your bouncer this is unprofessional and how RUDE!!!

NEVER AGAIN!!!!. Sorry, long review but worth the read!<br/><br/>I've been going to Taphouse since it opened. I have brought many groups of people here and no less than 8-10 each time. When it first opened, we went there on a Sunday afternoon around 3pm and they ran out of chicken wings, really on a Sunday afternoon? That didn't bother me.<br/> <br/>All my friends hated it...flat warm beer, bad services, average food. I kept on telling everyone give it a chance, it will get better. I even talked to Wayne, the owner a few times and he seemed like a nice enough guy, I wanted this place to work. I keep on coming back, bringing bigger groups and I kept on telling people that I met to give it a try. They would run out of certain beers some nights, and I would just shrug it off as growing pains and continue to come back with my friends. <br/><br/>Then this past Saturday, March 7, 2015, it was my brother-in-laws birthday, again made reservations for 11 of us to come out. First thing the waitress tell us, they ran out of 3 beers, again didn't bother me. We went about having good time, did some shots and bought some shots for the birthday boy. <br/><br/>Around 10pm the birthday boy sort of staggers out of the bathroom, didn’t hit or bump anyway, but apparently Wayne didn't like it and wanted to kick us all out. Granted he had a few too many but he is a harmless guy, just laughing having a good time and we are not creating any trouble whatsoever. So I walked up to Wayne and said I heard you want to kick us out, he said with a smile and smirk on his face, yes, your friend is drunk and he has to leave. Being respectful, I suggested to him that well we will cut him off from drinking. As soon as I made the suggestion, he looks over at our table, and my friend has a drink in his hand and says to me, "look he's still drinking!" and storms off outside to the bouncers. I don't know about you guys, but I seriously can't be at 2 places at once. So without giving me any chance to go back to the table and tell my friend that we are cutting him off, he goes to the bouncer and tells them to kick us all out. I go back up to Wayne and said to him that he needs to get his bouncers off our table so we can finish our drinks and leave. He starts yelling at me "Don't tell me how to run my business!!" Then his minions of bouncers decide to push me out the door.<br/><br/>We spent over $400 in this place in 3 hours, I had countless outings here with groups and groups of friends each time, spending anywhere from $500-800 each time we were there. I promoted this place by word of mouth to my friends, and told them it was new, give it a chance, I kept coming back even after the band reviews....only to get treated like trash!!!<br/><br/>WAYNE - give your head a shake, your treat loyal customers like this, it's shameful. Your place has no identity...are you a pub, are you a restaurant, are you a club??? Who has bouncers at a pub?? You are NOT the only game in town, there are countless places with better beer, services and food...the Guildford Station to name one just behind you. Have some respect for the people that are helping build your business. I for one will NEVER EVER say anything positive about your place, never will I arrange any parties there or be part of any, and BTW, I have another group outing this weekend with about 12 people that I told not to come here, say good bye to another possible $1000.<br/><br/>I am willing to forget if you apologies to me and my friends for the way you treated us. Not looking for any special discounts or to be comped even though we were overcharged, just an apology, and MAYBE we will start coming back. Also, change your front door staff, bunch of kids pretending they are tough guys, one day they are going to piss of the wrong group, they have no respect and that reflects on you.<br/><br/>Until then, we will spend our money with your competition.

Expensive drinks. Well i have been there 3 times......the food is mediocre......the service fluctuates.......i had good service forst time but my dinner and drinks came to $70 so i looked in the very dimly lit room and saw that i was charged for doubles even though i had singles......the bathroom is horrendous...a beautiful light fixture but is really weird lighting like black light or something...extremely dark in there ...you can hardly see yourself in the mirror. The second time i went there i was liking the band but food was overpriced and mediocre tasting. the third time the waitress gave good service for about an hour the disappeared.......and didnt come back at all.....i had to go searching for a waitress as our didnt come back and we ate dinner there and she just disappeared and no one else came to replace her.......had to hunt all over to get someone to give us the bill.

Average at best!. Went to The a Taphouse for lunch. Service was good. We started with wings - good. I had the steak sandwich with yam fries - fries were over cooked - sandwich was ok. My girlfriend had the tuna bacon burger - thumbs down. My diet cola tasted like RC cola not my favourite. They did an ok job on the renovation but I can't get The Mirage feel out of my head kinda weird. Menu was way over priced. They have Cactus Club prices for pub style food. Our bill came to $48 for lunch with no booze. Kinda steep. Anyway won't be going back there for lunch or dinner. It's seems to be a place for live music I might check that out. Overall average at best on a good day.

Neighbour. Just home from The Taphouse. Macaroni was terrible - lukewarm pasta, undercooked bacon and no cheese and at a cost of $15. When I said to a male person from restaurant who was going table to table (not our server) that it wasn't great - his comment was that he preferred Kraft dinner and then asked if I wanted something else. I was speechless - is this their version of great or even good or even okay food and service?

Nice place but VERY watered down booze.. The Mrs and I liked the music and atmosphere. The menu has a large selection of beers and wines for you to choose from. However the main major downside is that the drinks are very watered down. The Mrs who is usually tipsy after 2 long island ice teas managed to rack up a bill of $80 and still be stone cold sober. If your going there to drink then you should pre drink prior and then maintain your buzz with shots.<br/><br/>Alternatively if you are going to eat then you'll be greeted by a rather large menu of differing items Including several burgers and pizzas.

Yikes!. I found the service to be laughable. My server not only spoke inappropriately but also dressed the part. Our food was also very bleh and there was hardly any vegetarian options for my girlfriend. The manager Daryl also had poor customer service skills

Descracefully disrespectful to patrons. It's dispicable that the manager Darrell had the nerve to say there's a wardrobe rules in effect when its neither posted online, nor on the enterance of the establishment. And to make matters more worse than denying entry. He had the nerve to say to my friend to go to Walmart and buy sweat pants and he will let him in. Now let me fill in the readers on some details. My friend is very large in size, a 4XL. He was wearing practical black shorts to a bar wear everyone is casual clothing. But he was singled out even though a girlfriend in our party was wearing black shorts. Hmmm. Why wasn't she told to go to Walmart to buy sweat pants? We had the private room off to the side booked for our large party, but entry was still denied to our friend. This treatment out right ruined my girlfriends birthday. And we had to choose between staying with one friend on her birthday, and leaving with another that was embarrassed beyond belief and degraded by choice words by the head manager Darrell. So thank you so much for that. Change ur policy or post the damn rules on front door like all proper establishments do! Otherwise just say no fat people allowed!!! For shame.

Restaurant and cuisine. Found the restaurant to be very nice inside. Good service at lunch when I was there. The food well could be a little better. Was hoping for better. The mac and cheese good tasting but needed more sauce to dry. The pizza well got the mushroom and feta pizza. The oyster mushrooms should be not cut up so small that I couldn't tell the difference of each mushroom and very little on the pizza and maybe a teaspoon of grated feta. Guy you can do better for those prices. But I will come once more and see what happens.

Management has to talk to each other<br/><br/>I hosted a fund raiser for an elementary school, I had booked the event months in advance. I was told I was 100% confirmed, as the date approached I was getting concerned as why no one has called me so I can pick up tickets that was to be supplied by the pub, when I finally got a call back the day prior to the event the message left was that they were full! <br/>I called back as soon as I could to remind them we had booked 6 weeks prior, and we already pulled our license from the lottery corp, to keep our fund raising legal. <br/>In short no tickets were produced, the menu price changed along with our beverage options. We had 30 seats reserved and they wanted to take seats away because our entire party had not arrived, only because I was asked to stagger my party to make things easier on kitchen. The other thing is there is a blurb on their menu stating they would help advertise our event, and then would not allow our posters to be hung up( posters were small and tastefully designed)<br/>I could go on and on, but hopefully they get their act together. <br/>Otherwise they are still the Mirage, just calling themselves a pub so they can be open 7 days instead of 3

LOVE IT!!!. The food is fantastic! I had the roasted chicken chich was cooked to perfection, cooked to the bone but still tender. The service us top notch and one of the few places with live bands. I would highly recommend it and I will be back again in the near future.

Horrible food. My husband and I were there the other night for dinner and drinks we ordered two entrées and they were undercooked and poor tasting. They did take it off our bill however that is inexcusable. We will never go back there again!!!

Great Place BUT food has to improve!. Been here twice now and enjoyed my time . Service was great ...Love the Tap Bar BUT they need to improve there menu and food .... I'm no chef but I know food ... And between the 10 dishes I've tried ... They have almost all been under seasoned and blan, especially the Tuna Sandwich and my Chicken Cobb salad ...need to improve or change these dishes ... Flavour people !!! Come on Man ! ..... With that being said ... We will def go back .... And enjoy the atmosphere and great Taps ...but maybe eat before until the chef kicks it up a knotch !

Welcome to Guildford- fantastic place. The management and staff are great. Good smiles and service. Although they have only been open a month they are doing amazing. The bar is huge with a fantastic array of beers and wines on tap.<br/>Chef Dom, i am in awe his creations are the best, the food is so much better than any bar and grill type ever tasted. The Taphouse is a lively fun and very classy environment long over due and needed in the Guildford neighborhood. If they can keep up this standard and it not become a kiddie bar like others have followed I see amazin future for the owners and staf

Overall not going back.. It was just so bad... Horrible service. <br/>I got last minute know that they didn't have the soup she said so I had to wait to order & then everyone else got their food & I had to keep waiting.<br/>And the absolute worse Ahi tuna!! Do not order it - the chefs are very under trained! I'm not even sure it was prepared right. It literally seemed like they just pulled it out of the fridge. No season!

Exceeded Expectations!. It was very busy when my friend and I arrived at the taphouse the other night, we asked for a table to accommodate a girls party of 8 and were told a table would be available in 20mins. We were seated in less than 20mins and were even given the private room! Everyone from the hostess, servers, management, and chef were nothing but gracious, accommodating, and very friendly =) We appreciated the service and the atmosphere and will definitely be returning again. Shout out to the chef for the amazing and yummy food!

Fun!. Went with 8 girlfriends for a birthday party last night and had a great time! Food and service were awesome! They made my best friend feel so special on her birthday! At 10 a live band played and there was a dance floor. We remember partying at the mirage in our 20's and now we can still enjoy it in our 30's! Surrey needed a place like the taphouse! We will be back soon!

A new beginning for Guildford. Service has been on point for both times I have been here. On my first visit with friends, the food took unusually long from order to our table. The restaurant had only been open a couple of days at that point, so we understood that the kitchen staff were still getting use to the traffic. Our second visit was during a Canucks game and the restaurant was really busy. It was a nice that they had the game playing on multiple televisions, so no matter where you sat you had a good view of the game. Our waitress was very attentive. She was consistently making sure everything was ok. Food has been alright, the menu is diverse and there are unique choices. There are places for improvement in terms of organization but that will go with time. We also took a look on the second floor of the restaurant. It was more intimate and quiet. There was another bar upstairs and a billiards table.<br/><br/>Staff tends to be on the approachable side and friendly. Opening doors as you enter and exit the restaurant. It's these extra steps in service which make the difference. A place in customer service I find a lot of restaurant lack in. Hopefully the service continues to be this way and not just for the time being. It's definitely a great addition to the Guildford area and a huge step up from the Mirage Night Club which was the property before. Between the atmosphere, food and service we've received I'd say it's a place you have to check out.

NEVER AGAIN. The place is soooooo poorly run it's incredible. We walked in where there was a huge crowd inside the doors. We were told 45 mins and after 40 minutes of waiting we asked how long it would be and we were told another 15 minutes...a group of girls started complaining and they got sat right away and they were only waiting 15-20 minutes...i guess first come first serve doesnt exist there...then we get walked over to a table in the corner and were told we couldnt because some guest had taken over the table...such bad organising...we walked out and will never go there again...definitely felt discriminated against...will NEVER go there again

Pathetic!. Horrible service from people who clearly can't read a list, they seated other people when it was our turn. When we finally did get a table, some people were trying to push it together with another table so the rest of their inconsiderate friends (who had just walked straight in) could sit. We walked out and will never return or recommend this place. It probably wouldn't have even been worth the 45 mins wait which ended up being even longer. It's a new place so very hyped up, it'll eventually die down after people realize there's clearly incompetent staff running the place. Mirage was so much better!

A question. I heard from a friend who went for lunch and is raving about the Taphouse Pub. I belong to a Singles' over 60 group and would think about bringing the group there IF there is dancing on the nights of the live entertainment.<br/>Please let me know. Also do you have the space for a group of approx. 20 people?

Nice place to hangout out for drinks and music. Didn't have the food here yet . Servers looks friendly.

No service ?. I was really looking forward to the taphouse. I live in the neighbourhood, saw it being built thought it would absolutely be a nice change from mirage. However, my experience there was very disappointing. I went in Sunday evening , at about 8:30. I waited ,10 min at the entrance, waiting to be seated. No one acknowledged we were there.(we were the only ones waiting) I tried to get one of the waitresses attention, however that failed. One was walking around and the other was in a social conversation. No one had the courtesy to even says. "It will just be a minute",finally I was able to get the attention of a waiter/bartender and asked if we should seat ourselves or wait to be seated. He proceeded to tell me I can sit anywhere, without engaging in any sort of eye contact and with an "I don't want to talk to you kinda attitude" that I can find a empty seat and sit down. We found a booth and waited about 5-7 minutes and no one came around, we got up and left. I have never been treated unfairly in a restaurant, so I was very disappointed. Funny enough, I was sharing my experience with friends, down the grape vine, 2 different sets of people encountered similar experiences...

Great local place for the game!. Love this new place! Food is great and reasonably priced. The drinks are very well priced! TVs everywhere so you can't get a bad seat for the game! There's a pool table upstairs. Live band Thursdays to Saturdays and a DJ. Servers and hostesses are extremely nice and remember you! Great customer service. I highly recommend The Taphouse for a night out, a birthday, the game or just a casual dinner!

Great food, drinks & staff. Popped in on Halloween after work to see the new place.<br/>Greeted and sat by hostess. Awesome waitress Erika took excellent care of us. Had the pleasure of meeting manager, head chef & owner. Lots of staff walking around & making sure all is good but not over doing it, we never felt bothered, just the opposite. <br/>Will return again and again. Going back tonight actually to watch the game. <br/>Two enthusiastic thumbs up!

Seems like a nice place!. Went in for lunch today to check out what happened to the old mirage. Nice renovation. There's a stage inside for live music. Food was good! I had the vegetarian sandwich and can't say anything bad about it. Friendly servers. The chef came by our table to ask how everything was which was nice. Would come back for sure, interested to see what it's going to be like at night.

Sad to say, stuck my head in for a birthday drink today but not officially open till tues oct.28. Looks great in there, looking forward to checking it out

Let’s go straight to the burger. For it to be the signature it should be mind blowing but its not. I feel like this burger is missing a lot of seasoning. It’s not bursting with flavour. It’s just your pretty average burger. If you want something tasty and delicious are other items on the menu that are way better than this. Some of the appetizers I have had are better than this burger like the short ribs and the wings.
