Decent Vietnamese food made by mom. Good price. Bring a hanky if ordering hotter food. The heat tends to get the sinuses cleared.

I've been coming to this restaurant for years with my family. The people who work here are very nice. The prices are fair and the food tastes great. There's lots of napkins and the bathrooms are clean. The building used to be a Dairy Queen and was renovated, but you can still kinda make out the old layout. Lots of free parking.

I was a little disappointed with the Bun Bo Hue as it did not have the traditional noodles and the broth tasted like normal Pho. The flavor was good just not what I was expecting. The star of the meal was my husband's pork patty. It was cooked nicely and had great flavor.

Amazing food and amazing service. Staff was friendly, kind and quick and their Vietnamese coffee was to die for. Bubble tea was so good we took some for the road. We actually ate twice there in the same day because it was so good. 11/10 recommend!!

Honestly out of near a hundred pho soups.. their broth was amazing so full and rich. You can tell they have a passion for their food. In fact after mentioning how please my wife and I were the owner took the time to walk through traditional methods of preparation. A definate must for anyone who loves Vietnamese beef noodle soup.

This is one of my favourite restaurants. Really good food every time I go, and good service. Portions are big, too. Most of the food on the menu is actually good for you. As of now, I've probably been 10-20 times, and have had zero issues with anything.

Pretty good, I've had some amazing Vietnamese food but this was a decent place for small town. Flavours were good. Had the pork with vegetables on vermicelli. Portions were big! We would go back.

I have eaten at a lot of pho restaurants.  I love pho.  It's an incredible dish, so warming and soothing, nicely spiced but affordable.  I cannot say that this is the best pho restaurant I've been to, but it is VERY much near the top of my list, which is surprising because Summerland is a small place, and yet this knocks many Victoria and Vancouver pho restaurants out of the park.  I like to rate a pho restaurant based on a good standard bowl of pho - I tend to prefer some combination of rare beef steak, flank, fatty flank, meatballs, and/or brisket.  In this case, I had rare beer with meatballs and my wife had brisket.  The two most crucial ingredients of a good bowl of pho are the noodles, which should be soft and high-quality; and the broth, which should be spiced with a complicated flavour and aroma that cannot be faked.  Both of those are excellent and receive top marks.  The meat is another important bit - tender and flavourful, which it very much is.  Finally, the greens and toppings.  I find this place to be a little non-standard, they do not provide the complete standard accompanying dish I am used to in other places.  I also am a huge fan of flank or fatty flank and am always sad to not see those options.  That being said, this is an excellent pho restaurant run by very lovely people.  I have returned and will continue to frequent this place when I am in the area.  Summerland is lucky to have it.  I am even bumping my rating up a smidge because for a small town, this is really incredible.  A big city might earn it a 4, which is still good, but this is as good a restaurant as I could ever hope to expect in a small town and gets it a 4.5.

A small but homey place with good service. They have old school booths and a few tables for two with fancy chairs. When we sat down, I actually noticed another seating area in a sunroom. Looks like it'd be nice to sit there in summer or with a large group!<br/><br/>I was excited to find out that this place had tripe and tendon. We tried their number 3 large (pho dac biet) which had beef balls, medium rare beef, brisket, tripe and tendon. The food came out pretty fast. The pho itself already had the beansprouts in it. I'm used to getting it on the side with basil and lime, but I actually prefer it in the soup already cause I like them to be cooked. The broth was pretty good, noodles were tender, and the beef was yummy. Overall, it's some solid pho and a good portion for the price. Also overheard some customers talking to the waitress about the broth and heard that there's no msg in it. This is always a plus in my books. The broth doesn't even need it because it has good flavour. I'd definitely come back.

Well...it was edible. This is the first time eating here and i had the vermicelli bowl with pork and a spring roll. I was thinking in between dairy queen and this restaurant, and i definitely should have gone to dairy queen. <br/>It was pretty bad and a waste of money. Maybe their soup is better, i'm not to sure, but this dish was awful. The spring rolls tastes like they were old, the pork tasted bad, and the fish sauce had no taste to it; also, the waiter was pretty rude as well. <br/>If you want Vietnamese spend some extra gas and time and go to Bamboo Chopstick in west bank, its way better!

So overall i really enjoyed the food here. I thought the salad rolls were large, delicious and the peanut sauce was really yummy. <br/>Their chilli oil aka sate on the table was really good as well.<br/>Their chicken Vietnamese banh mi was surprisingly tasty!!<br/>I really liked their banh mi.<br/>Not much meat in it but it was good for the price.<br/>The downside to this is that their pho was not so good.<br/>The bean sprouts cilantro and lemon or lime was put in for us not on the side. Meat portions were normal as compared to other places.<br/>The broth was weak though :( light and not rich or aromatic.<br/>But don't get me wrong, if i lived in sunmerland i would come here pho sure.<br/>I still biasly think pho soc trang in kelowna is the best though in the interior.<br/>Would i come here again? Yes absolutely.<br/>Thank you for the free tea.<br/><br/>Pho addict-

Vietnamese curry bowl. Amazing!!<br/><br/><br/>-----25 Jul, 2014-----<br/><br/>Absolutely LOVE this place. The little lady in the back makes incredible traditional cuisine. The dude out front is a gem as long as you don't take things to seriously. I strongly suggest #3...... Mmmmm tripe :)

Good Pho place. I'm used to the incredible pho places around Vancouver, and I was very surprised at the quality of the food at this establishment. I would say it was the best Asian restaurant this town has ever seen. 7.5/10, I'll be coming back.

Excellent Food. I think that Pho's food in Summerland is excellent!! Crisp vegetables with 'just right' cooked shrimp. Love their homemade spicy sauce too! Their spring rolls are great too! <br/><br/>Celeste

Pho Vietnamese. Sorry, but we stopped in April 29, 2012, around 7 pm. We thought we were getting good food. The No. 18 seemed okay, but my order however was a disappointing disaster. I ordered the Seafood Rice, picturing, well seafood with rice. What I got was a dish heavily sauteed in oil, lots of rice and frozen vegetable mixed with 7 tiny shrimps. No flavour at all. Had to use the Satay for any flavour.<br/><br/>The worst part was telling the owner how disappointed I was. It went like this, "you are the only one to complain." "Then people aren't being honest with you and we won't be back." And he said, "I really don't care."<br/><br/>I've never seen a Vietnamese restaurant not list Lemon Grass as any of thier ingredients, and there was no cocunut curry options. We really will not be back and we know he doesn't care.

When in the mood for Pho, this is the only place to go in the okanagan

Great Pho even by Vancouver standards. I noticed this place beside the Tim Horton's off hwy 97 when driving by a month ago. It's only been open for 3 months. I was leery to try it because the Okanagan has a reputation for useless pho (Penticton's pho place is bad, Kelowna's pho spots reliably put me in an MSG fugue every time). I didn't really think Summerland was a big enough town for an authentic Vietnamese restaurant. What a pleasant surprise - the pho here is great, cooked by a lovely Vietnamese lady and served by her son. I've lived in Vancouver and spent time in Vietnam, and this was one of the nicest veggie phos I've had. The base was chicken stock but I asked for no meat, just vegetables. The soup arrived piled high with expertly julienned vegetables and had a rich, real broth that didn't give me a headache/shoulder pain so I'm guessing there's no MSG. The spring rolls were also good - they had turnip in them, which was unique, and they were tightly rolled and crispy just like the ones in Hanoi.<br/>Don't let the location fool you - try this place out and don't be afraid to ask for something customized like I did - they bent over backwards to help. Apparently they are going to be starting to do Vietnamese subs (banh mi) next month. I'll be back!
