Review Respect Is Burning Kitchen + Bar - Sudbury

Food was pretty decent. I enjoyed the mushroom rigatoni but the tagliatelle could have used some more flavour to it. The ravioli dish was decent. Our waitress was super friendly and I would generally give this a 4 star review. However, it loses a star because of how incredibly slow they were at getting us the bill. We finished eating at 6:45 and didn't leave the restaurant until 7:20. With two young kids waiting, it was a bit frustrating.

This is an easy 5-star people. We had the perfect night. Every bite of the food was delicious. You gotta try the crispy mushroom salad. I don’t know what witchcraft they used, but each forkful was better than the previous one.

We dined at Respect is Burning for the first time and I have to say my girlfriend and I could not be happier. The dark atmosphere and Italian ambience was wonderful. We ordered the Mushroom Bruschetta as an appetizer and it was fantastic... 5 pieces of perfectly toasted bread with cream cheese, butter and mushrooms... Delicious. The restaurant was packed but we still got a table and the food came very quickly despite the 1.5 hour limit at the table. The waitress was very personable and a pleasure to be around. The general staff was also very happy and outgoing. The main dishes, both pasta were the best pasta my girlfriend and I ever had. I recommend this restaurant hands down for an excellent meal and an all around great experience. I have nothing but praise for Respect is Burning.

Amazing food and service last night. Our reserved table of 5 turned into a table of 6 at the last minute, and your staff were able to accommodate us without a problem (sorry about that) Our server was top notch (I wish I had caught her name) but I felt so special that not only our server, but every staff member who came to our table took the time to wish me a happy birthday. We were a little disappointed that the dill pickle app was unavailable, but the good news is we all found some new favourite apps!! The roasted cauliflower and the gnocchi were 👍🏼👍🏼 I’m one who likes to try a different pasta dish every time I stop by, but now that I’ve had the Rustica…it will be my go to every time. It was amazing. Thank you for the great evening!!

Got some take out pizza and it was fantastic, even when eaten cold the next day. An unnecessary amount of onions as you can see in the picture but the flavour was pretty wild. I would definitely like to visit this place again as I was only able to try this pizza and their pasta list was long and intricate so I can only imagine how could one of those dishes would be.

Absolutely fantastic place to dine! The portions are plentiful and made to perfection. The atmosphere makes you feel like you are in downtown Toronto or New York. We are so fortunate to have such a fine establishment in our City! Keep up the great work!

My husband and I had the BEST meal out we've had in years! Absolutely every item we ordered was perfect. Friendly and fast service. We can't wait to dine again soon! A must visit for exceptional dining in Sudbury.

The food was AMAZING, there was no question about it ... now as for the service we received this evening, I can't say the same ... we contemplated a few times just getting up and leaving ... 35 almost 40 mins of waiting before we were even offered water, let alone had our drink order taken ... I find this unacceptable .. (we watched 3 tables that arrived AFTER us be served and drinks brought out to them ..) Food alone would be 5 stars 🌟 hands down .. but due to the poor service and feeling like we were just being "passed off" (the "reasoning" we received from a waitress) ... I've opted with the 3 star ...

My husband and I went to RIB for an anniversary dinner date. We were greeted with an amazing server ,V, who gave great suggestions and had a genuine interest in our experience. Our dinner was authentic and incredible. Words cannot describe the individual flavours each plate we tasted had. Rob was gracious as always. It was a very welcoming atmosphere. I have not had a dining experience like this in a long time. Thank you for the hospitality and the excellent food. It was great seeing Shawn W as well! Keep up the great work! Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for great dining. Hats off- well done !

I've been a sporadic customer over the years only because I sporadically go out for dinner - however my one & only is Respect. I've had my staff party there for the last 5+ years, always have had outstanding service and when there on a smaller scale the service has been exceptional. Big or small party - I can only say that omg, the food - the food!! Incredible, have always been over the top pleased (Rob, the carbonara - you know what I'm talking about yum!) (Wait, the veal chop too omg!) From the decor and the newly added Red Fang bar walk through, this is the place to go! Thanks Rob, for the never ending outstanding experiences!

Thank you for an amazing Belated Birthday meal tonight. You NEVER disappoint. The staff is awesome and the food is always fabulous! A must go to for authentic Italian food. This family knows their business!! Cheers

Shout out to Rob and his incredible team. As a fellow industry worker, I really appreciate what these guys do. Excellent food, simple but perfectly executed, and in my opinion that’s he way to go. The bar and restaurant side were packed with orders coming from each end of the restaurant and still his team managed to keep every individual appraised, satisfied and respected. More of this in Sudbury please, it’s the way to go with our town. Slowly bringing culture into our contained community. Thank you Rob and your wonderful staff. This restaurant is truly one of a kind. Never have i seen an owner go so out of his way to make his guests happy. Amazing food, staff, and atmosphere. I highly recommend this establishment: I will surely be returning myself. Thank you Rob and RIB!

Amazing food, great service, good wine list. But no seriously, this food is off the hook. Try the ravioli, you will not be disappointed.

We didn't make reservations, so when we arrived we had to sit at the bar for a few minutes until a table was ready. The bartender was the perfect mix of friendly, quirky, and energetic. She poured us some amazing drinks by which time our table was ready. The atmosphere is very eclectic, with a touch of goth, which is refreshing. We felt at home. The food was amazing. I highly recommend the Deep Woods Mushroom Bruschetta, and any pizza or pasta on their menu. Trust me, you won't leave dissapointed.

Went for supper this evening with my boyfriend, we got gift certificates for Christmas. Our app was amazing( mushroom bruschetta). I ordered a pasta dish ( cant remember the name but it had peas in it )and sounded delicious. It was brought to my table and placed in front if me and my first impression was "slop on a plate". The presentation was horrible. It tasted good but it looked awful. Only best experience of the night was our server. He rocked. Not sure if we will be back.

Attended a private Christmas party last evening at RiB. The food was outstanding (as always), the service was excellent, the drinks were primo and the atmosphere was perfect for a fun, laid back evening. Definitely one of the best Christmas parties. Highly recommend. Did I mention the food? Still thinking about it today....

Stopped in for dinner tonight to take advantage of the No Peeking envelopes. So glad we did! Food was amazing, I have no idea what pasta I ordered but every bite was even better than the one before. The amount of food was incredible too, after hubby and I ate until we couldn’t anymore we packed up the rest which could feed us a whole other meal. Truly service at its best when you’re leaving the restaurant and are stopped on your way to your car by Rob asking how everything was. Thank you for the wonderful service and food!Can’t wait to return with our envelopes... maybe even before to enjoy more deliciousness! Keep up the great work guys!

My friends and I went last night and had Rob cook for us personally. The food was mind blowing and I was there having the time of my life with my friends, the atmosphere was incredible and I felt so happy and enjoyed the food and drinks so much I want to go back a million times. One of the best restaurant experiences I have ever had, the deep woods bruschetta will literally make you cry because it's so delicious. Rob and the staff were incredible and I'm so happy I had this experience!

Took my son to celebrate his 17th birthday. It was amazing. The staff were cheerful and our waiter was enthusiastic. Everything from food to service was great. I will be back.

Places that make me feel like one of the family, that greet me with warmth and open arms, then tell me they will make me a custom vegan dish without asking, are A1 in my books. The staff is super attentive, Rob is welcoming and lovely and the atmosphere is alive and pumping. The food was incrediblely delicious and I can't wait to go back!

Delicious! My husband and I are from Halifax, and we have been looking for a unique restuarant since we moved to Sudbury. Well we found it at Respect is Burning! Wonderful atmosphere, great staff, and fabulous food! Compliments to the chef! RIB will be our go to restaurant! �����

Amazing food, great flavors, beautiful wine list, good cocktails, nice atmosphere and good service. Happy with the price/quality ratio. You need to try this yourself!!

We love coming here, we try some other dish everytime and we never get disappointed. Best quality restaurant because the owner is the cook himself and he would come around to have a chit chat with the patrons-love the service too.

The pasta meal with the slab of bacon, was the best pasta meal I have ever had.
