Wife and I are from Montreal and decided to go on a. Drive towards Ottawa. Decided to have dinner here for Wife’s birthday and glad we did. Staff are friendly and polite. Food was great. Wife’s steak was on the overcooked side but was quickly corrected. Thank you to the manager (didn’t get her name) and Alex our waiter for making our first visit a wonderful evening. BTW, Alex suggested we try the Billy Miner Pie for dessert. Really enjoyed it. Look it up and give it a try! Also ask why it was named after … 😁
What an absolute treat of an evening at the Keg. This was our first visit to this location in Kanata and it will not be our last. The restaurant is beautiful, the service was incredible. The hostess held open the main door as we entered, and we were taken directly to our pre-reserved table. We were looked after perfectly, and our service was excellent. Fresh bread, drinks, and main courses were excellent. Our server stopped by after the first few bites to confirm we were happy. Other restaurants take notes.. that is the proper way to impress a customer. It was my 50th birthday, and I could not have asked for a more perfect evening. The next day we got an email from the manager thanking us for choosing the Keg! What a fantastic experience. Please do yourself a favour and make this Keg restaurant a priority. You will not be disappointed. We weren't. Thank you Keg.
Hostess Georgia and server Vanessa were both polite and friendly. I don't think that staff get enough weight during a review, as they set the tone, pace and should embrace the atmosphere. Vanessa praised my wine selection and had great table side etiquette.
The food was amazing! (as is usually the case). I have kept track of this chef from Ottawa's downtown location. Fantastic kitchen here as well! Quality is key to repeat business. Enjoy my pics!

Wonderful experience for my mothers birthday. Service was excellent and our food was incredible! My mom was still talking about this morning. She was very impressed with her birthday cake that was provided to her a no cost. Thanks to all the staff! Great job in crazy times!
Great food and service.
We ordered takeout for the New York striploin with garlic mashed potatoes, rib steak and an order of vegetables. The rib steak was tender and the strip loin had a nice sear.
Garlic mashed potatoes are to die for. Will come again!
Came back for their burger, ordered the blackened chicken too. Both good.

The really, really good:
- server Gabby and all other staff were excellent! Polite, engaging, attentive and efficient. 5-stars
- our meals were all cooked to perfection although one described as having two lobster tails was delivered with only one. Gabby quickly corrected that kitchen omission. 4 1/2-stars
- complimentary Billy Miner Pie for dessert. 5-stars
Could have been better:
- we're all music lovers but the streaming soundtrack was overloaded with techno/electronic music better suited to a hipster bar than an upscale restaurant with diverse clientele. Mildly annoying but we'll still come back.
