I have attended this spot now numerous times and have tried a great deal off their menu and I can say I have NEVER had a bad experience with this establishment. The staff always treats you like family and are incredibly warm and inviting down to the chef who always greets you with a smile as he prepares the food. The food always taste as it is made from fresh ingredients and is never served cold. (In some cases it is piping hot like it just came out of the pot/pan). If you are in the area and want something that will warm you up and feel at home pop in. It has become one of my favorite spots in town and I am glad I wandered by the place and noticed their menu in their window.
Ate here yesterday and it was delicious! They were pretty short staffed so there was quite a wait but it was well worth it. Our server was genuinely one of the nicest servers I've ever had. She was very attentive and made sure we always had water and communicated that our food was being made as quickly as possible. The chef also apologized for the wait and it was really no worries. It was great sushi and the spring rolls were delicious. Will definitely be back! Thanks for the great experience!
So good- everything and anything here can be made vegan, and one of the last authentic jiggae restaurants for a taste of Korea left in this city! You have to try the Sundubu jiggae! Also, prices (like specials for $10 daily) cannot be beat. I seriously will cry if people do not go out, experience and enjoy Korean food, and keep this place going in this city! We need this Korean place! :) For the kimchi jiggae: there were heaps of tofu in it, lots of garlic, onions and zuch. The kimchi does not have fish sauce in it so good for vegans. The sundubu jiggae is bar none my favourite: it has loads of zuch, veggies, peppers, onions, lots of firm chunks of tofu and soft tofu, and really deep flavour from the fermented bean paste (felt just like the ones back in Seoul, Korea). Their rice is perfect to the tooth, sticky, white rice. I can honestly say for this price point, it beats out any and all of the other Asian restos in this area. Tucked in TD bank though, I worry people may miss it.
