Just wanted to leave a little note about our visit yesterday for supper. We have been wanting to have supper at this restaurant for the last couple of weeks but never had the time to wait unfortunately as the wait list was always quite long when we tried. But last night we decided to go on the wait list with our friends and we were told approximately 2 hours. To our surprise the wait was only one hour! Our group of 10 were quickly seated with drink and appetizer orders taken. I have a few different food allergies and when I spoke to my server she was very knowledgeable and said they take food allergies very seriously. I was thrilled to have several options on the menu and my meal was AMAZING! In fact every one of us enjoyed our meals! The food and service was incredible and we never once felt rushed to finish our food and drinks or pay the bill. Can’t wait to return! Keep up the great service �
So impressed with this place! First time trying it - the bruschetta is to die for, and the pomegranate beet soda is extremely refreshing �. Great food and amazing service!
Great atmosphere & hospitality from the servers. Drinks & Appetizers came out very quickly. Fries🍟 are done very nicely with very little grease which was a delight. Portions were great on all servings. Hamburgers🍔 were well cooked as well.
To top it all off the kids had an amazing dessert called Ice Cream Volcano 🍦🌋 where the server introduced an element to the bowl causing it to smoke like a volcano around the ice cream.
I will 💥caution💥 attention to the Calamari appetizers had shrimp🍤 placed on the bottom. The calamari wasn't the best I had & tasted like they were frozen rather than fresh.

Everything served at Moxie’s is fresh. They take a little time to prepare the food but the wait is worth. I’ve been to Moxie’s a dozen times and all their servers are friendly and attentive. Love their salad range, calamari, chicken Alfredo and fish and chips. Overall, a good experience.

Food is good & the service is friendly. The burger is juicy. The fish is fresh. The fried are the best we had had throughout our trip to Newfoundland.

On Friday September 24, my friends Renelle, AJ and I dined at Moxie's and it was *excellent*!!!
We waited an appropriate amount of time to be seated & were able to sit in the host area, which was great. We could see they were dealing with another customer/issue but it was clear that the staff were all very professional, friendly, and helpful.
We waited about 10/15 minutes, tops! We were seated in an awesome booth out in the "cool area with the windows"! :) Loved our location.
Our Server was Erica who was exceptional - friendly, good energy, & great at her job. Renelle mentioned she had celebrated her 30th birthday that week, & Erica brought us champagne on the house - an amazing start to the night!!
We had a delicious appetizer (calamari & shrimp, as pictured), yummy drinks, and our meals were also so, so good. Hot, fresh, & plated so nicely. It was all delicious.
Later, we were sipping our drinks and the manager, Kirk, came by to say hello. We had a great chat, he was so friendly and was clearly passionate about his job and the restaurant! We saw Kirk again the next morning in the parking lot, just as motivated to work as he was the night before. We loved chatting with him, and we will surely be back sometime! We hope he is there again whenever that is! :)

I had a great experience last night at Moxies. The dinner and the service were fantastic. It was my birthday night and I ordered a piece of brownie; our server was Alex, he was so friendly, he brought the cake with a “Happy Birthday “ message on it. I liked their attentions!
Atmosphere is good. Foods good, but not the absolute best so the 4/5.
Steak was fantastic tho.
Food and alcoholic beverage were flavorsome. Service was pretty good.
I ordered vegan tacos which came with guac and chips and it all tasted amazing. As well, I ordered a pineapple basil margarita which was stellar.
The menu offered some other really great items.
The restaurant was beautiful and spacious.
My company ran into some issues; someone's soda was flat and the other was served their chicken salad with no chicken until they were nearly finished their salad which made it slightly uncomfortable for me and the rest of us while we were all served our proper meals.
With that said, the issues were resolved, the servers were friendly and gave explanations and everyone including myself enjoyed the taste of our food.
5 Stars across the board. From the moment I walked into the restaurant it was a great ambiance, I was greeted with a smile and promptly sat at the bar where I had asked. Ryan took great care of me, knew the menu like the back of his hand and made some great suggestions as I didn't realize I was there for happy hour. Both Michael and Brigitte (the managers I can only assume) stopped by to check in how I was doing, nice touch. Shrimp tacos were great and their house amber beer was cold, poured right and hit the spot. Highly recommend to anyone who's travelling through or needs a nice spot with some friends for a night out. Will be back next time I'm in St. John's!
