Wholesome food at good price. What's not to like? This restaurant gives good service, good food, and at a good price. The menu is limited so you don't need to be a gourmet of South Asian Food. Frankly, that's a plus because you know what you're getting and it comes quickly.
What a neat little place!. There is only one main item on the menu but the curry offering was still excellent. A family run place with mom and daughter in the kitchen cooking and son waiting and working the till. Eat in with only about seating for a dozen. A very pleasant hot meal and definitely worth visiting. Closed SUnday and Monday. Great meal to have after long walks at Signal Hill or spending a morning at the Geocenter nearby.
Worth it. The service is almost non-existent, but the food is very good, probably better to have as takeout. The price is very affordable for what you get. A large chicken lasts me two meals.

Mediocre. As others mentioned below the selection of this place isn't that good, but the food is okay. I have had a lot better in Ontario when I lived there though.
- I get a 'funny' taste in the rice, but I can't quite place WHAT makes it "funny" lol but it's not a gross taste, just a odd taste.
In point form...here are the complaints I have.
- MORE GRAVY/Sauce please! She needs to use more sauce on the rice/chicken. It's a tad bit dry for curry.
- the packaging of their naan. When you get it for take out they jam it in a little tiny paper bag, similar to the small bags you get for candy in convenience stores.
-Their larges isn't that much more than their smalls
-Their menu shows different prices of what they actually charge you at ring out time.
-The lady isn't warm or inviting at all to her customers. She is really pushy, and doesn't say thank you or good bye, even though you say it to her.
Yes, the food is okay, but it takes A LOT more than the taste of a product to make you want to return!! the owner needs to realize this. Maybe take a business or customer service course?
I will maybe go back again..but just to get the curry packets, and make it at home as I have done before finding the place :)
One of the best in St. John's! The food is always great and, although the menu is small, there are different dals every day. The portions are vey generous and Talat, the owner, never forgets a face. Try it, you won't be disappointed!
Good food. The owner herself runs this place and hence the service is really good. Also, the food just reminds me of home cooked food....I would really reccommend you give it a try.
Limited menu which is completely fine since it is executed extremely well! Never have been disappointed!
Pakistani Food at its Best. This restaurant is unique in that it only serves one daily dish. I've been here numerous times and the food is awesome. Even better, it's situated at the bottom of Signal Hill so you can always go for a hike to burn off those calories. :)

Very authentic, flavorful, simple but fantastic food in a warm small setting. Best curry dish in Newfoundland.
