Overall a nice experience. Our waiter was very nice and friendly. The food was also pretty good, but nothing exceptional. The salmon, however, was really good. I would certainly recommend trying this restaurant if you're downtown St. John's.

Very nice place, looks great and makes you feel comfortable as soon as you open the door. We didnt make any reservation on Vday and they were nice enough to find us a table. Our waiter/bartender Michael is the BESTEST. He is always smiling, has great people skills, is a talented bartender and fun, even on a busy night! The food was great. I had the Antipasto & the Brie Bundles. My friend had the Shrimps appetizer and the Ossoloni. Everything was great, well cooked, great presentation, generous portions. Ask him to surprise you with a drink and you won't be disappointed! He even gave us recommendations in the city! 10/10 Would go back anytime!

Really enjoyed dinner at Get Stuffed. It’s a great restaurant. The food is delicious. We had the antipasto and chowder for appetizers and the beef phylo (special) and the hazelnut chicken for mains. Everybody said they enjoyed their food.
The atmosphere is interesting. The old building and narrow staircase contribute to the quaint feel of the place.
The staff is really great as well. They’re very friendly and professional, considerate and quick to notice when the water glasses are empty. One guy even noticed that one of the tables had uneven legs and fixed the tilt for the guests.
The one negative aspect of our visit was a waitress who served us water came to the table smelling strongly of smoke, she had probably just returned from her smoke break.
Overall I’d recommend Get Stuffed and I plan to come back.

Great place to try local seafood. More of a personal preference, but I found the sauces / flavours to be a bit overpowering for our dishes - which concealed the seafood taste. The restaurant is cozy inside, especially by the window. Overall a good experience.

Nice little quiet place where u can sit and enjoy the light music and have a great conversation. Food is great. You should ask for the specials from the server. Service was fantastic. I would recommend the salmon and the mussels. When in St John's you can't miss the seafood.

I love the atmosphere here and we've been twice now but each time was a completely different experience. The first time we went with friends and all four of us loved every single thing we ate right from the appetizers to dessert. They serve seasoned fried wontons to start and you could probably make a meal on them alone. I had the prom which was out of this world. The service was phenomenal. Second time around was the complete opposite - the seafood pasta was extremely disappointing and came with a $31 price tag. Our waiter must have been new because the service left a very sour taste in our mouths which was quite a disappointment in comparison to the first time around.

First time we went food and service were amazing. Second time not so much, don't know whether the waiter now but he just didn't seem to know what he was doing and he was flirting with one of the other wait staff. The food was only mediocre on the second trip and certainly not worth what we paid. Haven't desired if we'll try again.

Nice clean place, friendly staff and great waitress's. However food was sub par. I ordered the pasta special, it came out very quickly with undercooked noodles, and warm not hot overall temperature.

First time I've been to Get Stuffed in a very long time and I'm so glad we came. Had a great evening with my husband. Delicious food & drink. We enjoyed the Antipasto plate which was piled high with goodness. We over indulged in the Arancini, Brie Bundles, Hazelnut Chicken as a shared main and Cheese'n'doo, Hashbrown Casserole & Grilled Veg as shared sides. Everything was very good. We even have a nice container of leftovers for tomorrow. My husband says he's quite satisfied .... maybe even stuffed!:) We'll be back for sure.

Was in St Johns for a week and tried every restaurant ( Raymonds, Yellow Belly, Adelaide, Gypsy etc) and this was by far mt favorite. Everything from the complimentary chips to the mains and the deserts, fantastic! Great friendly knowledgeable staff!! Highly recommend! Happy eating!

I have dined at Get Stuffed several times and have always been very satisfied with my meals and the level of service. I have never taken the 'get stuffed' option that allows you to upsize your meal in size as I have always been happy with the regular portions. The menu offers a variety of great selections and of course a signature cod dish that is well spoken of in town. My favourite meal here though is dessert as a certain staff member often creates some very interesting options. One evening we were served something that can only be described as a chocolate dessert sampler that was one of the most delicious things I have ever eaten. I wish it would become a regular item!

I had heard a lot of good things about this restaurant but we were disappointed in our meal. The scallops had absolutely no flavour whatsoever but the salad beneath the scallops was tasty. the seafood chowder was good but the meat pasta dish was almost cold when served and the meat in the dish was overdone and tough. on the upside, the service was good and the price per glass of wine was reasonable. the restaurant was not overly busy.

Awesome. One of the best meals I've ever had, and I've been to some nice places before, in Toronto, Montreal, Amsterdam, Prague, etc.. Location is awesome, right by the harbor, which you can see from the dining room. The staff was friendly, the food was absolutely amazing. Order the "get stuffed" portion if you are really really hungry. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone and I will also say this. If you don't like Get Stuffed, you don't like food and should go get stuffed LOL.<br/>Next time I'm in St. John's, which I hope will be soon, because the place is fantastic, I will absolutely come here again, just be sure to make a reservation.

Got Stuffed. Excellent food! While visiting my husband and walking around downtown St. John's we almost bypassed this place but so glad we found this restaurant. My husband ordered the regular sized meatloaf (he would never have been able to eat the get stuffed size). He enjoyed it but really liked the hash brown casserole and when I tried it...I should have also ordered it. I had the seafood chowder and was really surprised that it had so much seafood. Usually restaurants have more potatoes as the filler but not Get Stuffed. Would definitely recommend it.

Top quality. First time there but definitely not the last! Dropped in on a Friday evening without a reservation, welcomed and accommodated. The server was the epitome of good service, friendly and genuine. Calamari starter was a delight, no deep fried crumbed/battered here, beautifully presented with roasted red pepper, garlic on arugula, complimenting flavours.<br/>Love the idea of 'build your own' main course. The chicken with hazelnut sauce was a pleasant surprise, with sautéed corn/mushroom. My other half had the pasta/beef special, it completely vanished, quite quickly! Very nice and accompaniment of seared breads some of which I stole.<br/>I haven't seen a less than good review of 'Get Stuffed' and I now know why. Recommended

Cash Register. All seven of us had a fabulous meal but when it came to pay we found out they don't have a cash register. That is hard to believe this day and age having someone add up all the bills plus dividing one dinner among the other six.

Amazing and delicious. My family and I are visiting and really enjoyed supper here. The antipasto appetizer was delicious. Mussels with spicy maple sauce we would highly recommend. Scallops were also great. Hope to come again soon before our trip is over !

Excellent food and service. Unpretentious, but quality cooking would bring me. Sick. The scallop app was succulent with impressively charred yet not overdone scallops. But you only get 4 small ones for $15. The duck. Recast main special had terrific flavour though it was a tad overdone. The bacon wrapped green bean sides were unexceptional but other sides were white excellent. I'd recommend the strip loin which looked hearty and the cod, which I'd order if I return. And I would.

This restaurant deserves all of it's terrific reviews. Everything my wife and I tasted, from the Aroncini to the fish stew to the $1 hotdogs, was delicious and beautifully presented. The staff were genuine and friendly and the service was fast. I can't wait to visit St. John's again so I can Get Stuffed a second time!

Very intimate dining. Food was great except for the calamari. Yuck yuck yuck. But the redeemed themselves with the grilled salmon with Cajun cream sauce and the creame brule. Recommend this place for sure. A bit on the pricey side but good.

Unique dining experience.. This is a shouldn't t miss eating experience. Wife had the salmon and i had the "get stuffed" meat loaf. Get stuffed portions are 50 percent larger than the regular and good if you have a big appetite. Both were well prepared and would highly recommend either offering. Price was worth what was served. Reservations recommended as they fill up fast.

Great food, great price. Dinned there alone and they made me feel very welcomed. They have cushioned seats with pillows! I was cozy AND well taken care of! The food was awesome. I had pulled pork sandwich, mussels and two glasses of wine.. best part? My bill was under 50.00!!!! Definitely will return AND refer!!!

Excellent. I have been to Get Stuffed once and I have been meaning to go back ever since. It was mouth-watering. I had the meatloaf and it was the perfect combination of a wholesome comfort food with a well-executed restaurant preparation. I think this place is underrated.

Great food and atmosphere. Stopped by on a tuesday night and had a very nice meal. Great service, had the scallops and a short rib special. Scallops were spectacular, short ribs were good but there is a reason an Alberta boy should not order beef in Newfoundland. Should have stuck to the local pleasures!<br/><br/>I would definitely return.

Great service..good food...too stuffed. Service was really prompt and friendly. They know the menu and the food well. Nice atmosphere. We had 1 app, 1 salad, 4 drinks (wine), two mains a side of mac and cheese and two coffees. Bill was $108 plus tip. Good value. Would for sure go back. Great Newfoundland friendliness and hospitality.<br/>Cheers and happy eats.

Fantastic Experience. Just had a lovely evening at Get Stuffed. Had the grilled salmon with fruit salsa, meatloaf, sauteed corn and mushrooms, sour cream and onion mashed potatoes, a hot dog, and layered ice cream cake. It was all delicious. <br/><br/>The service was excellent. The place is cozy and tastefully decorated. It is a nicer place than the name suggests. The menu seems expensive but the pricing is reasonable for the amount and quality of food. It is best to share side dishes.<br/><br/>Will certainly recommend this restaurant.

Will be back at Get Stuffed. This was the highlight of a business trip to SJ. Hand made tomato tart to begin. Delectable Cod on savoury dressing and scrunchions , the lamb tender and perfectly done with two sides, root veg mash and the hash brown casserole. A generous cocktail apiece and wine with dinner plus the banana dessert and prices were very good in comparison to Calgary for carefully prepared food. Regular servings were ample for two to share. I am six foot six with a hearty appetite. Friendly staff treated us like gold, were unobtrusive and knowledgeable about their craft without any<br/>big city smarm. Fellow diners shared quips but were not in <br/>our face. Best of all we were walk ins and they seated us! We went on our son's recommendation and will return when next in SJ.

Have a reservation for 6 tonight. As soon as we were sat the sever made sure we knew there was a reservation at 8. When I questioned her she said two hours should be plenty. I told her in that case she needn't mention it. I feel like leaving but I hear the food is good.

Excellent. Our table ordered the Ham Cordon, Spicy Maple Bourbon Cream Mussels (very yummy), Shrimp, and Scallops for the appetizers and it was all delicious. We then ordered the Salmon, Steak, Duck, Short Ribs, Sour Cream Potatoes, Brown Sugar Glazed Carrots, Bacon Wrapped Green Beans, Grilled Veg of the Day, and Grilled Bread and it was all executed to perfection. Atmosphere and seating was very cozy, and the staff provided superior customer service. Reservations strongly recommended. We made ours 2 days in advance. Overall, it was a great experience and we look forward to returning in the near future.

Great restaurant for parents who haven't quite given up the belief that it's possible to have a nice meal in the company of their children. Kids had scrumptious cheese n doos (4 cheese pasta) & we enjoyed the cod with scruncheons, duck pot pie & wines by the glass. Nice cosy atmosphere, friendly service & reasonable prices. A real find!

I was extremely impressed by my meatloaf. It came laid on top of the mashed potatoes and covered with a mushroom sauce. It was made with a blend of ground beef and pork. Two things definitely got my attention. First was the spiciness of the dish. It wasn’t hot or anything, but it had a kicky little aftertaste that I really enjoyed (although its unexpectedness could take many diners by surprise). The second, and best, was that it was a slice of meatloaf that they charred on the grill for a bit.
