The staff at the Chop House Burger Bar were amazing! They took our hockey team of 40 at short notice, and brought on extra staff for our group. They went above and beyond to accommodate us and if I could give them a 10 I would! They were very friendly, food came out and our glasses were never empty. All the food that came out looked incredible, and tasted better than it looked! Great job!! When in St. Catherine’s we will be back!!

Good food!! Only complaint is I asked for a substitute Caesar salad for garden salad they didn’t tell me it was a 4 dollar up charge ... more then poutine !! Well if I had known that I would’ve got the poutine lol

Was really excited to go to this restaurant because of the gluten free menu, however, it is not suitable for anyone with celiac disease or who is really sensitive to gluten, as they do not have a separate fryer or prep space, so really, there is barely any selection. However, for those who are not restricted, the burgers are absolutely delicious (as my party attested!). The restaurant could definitely use a bit of a pick-me-up in atmosphere, but if you're looking for a large, cheap, but still good quality burger meal, this is the spot.

Chop House is a neighborhood burger joint that is way better than a neighborhood burger joint. The menu has great selection, including lots of vegan and gluten free options. The portions for the food are extremely generous, and everything that I’ve tasted so far is great. The burgers especially have really well seasoned beef and are served on a fluffy bun. Most burgers and entrees come with two sides, which is an added plus. Considering all the specials they have going on, eating here goes way beyond the price.

Absolutely loved the food there! I had the Hally burger and the tacos. Very flavourful and prices were good. Only complaint was lack of waitstaff (one waitress during dinner rush) and they don’t have a drink menu! :(

So, Burgers. Many places do them well. Those guys do them to perfection. A simple and small place. Basic and homey service. Good beer collection. Very good appetizers. Great salad (that is always so fresh that my half-vegetarian wife looks forward to joining us).
But, most importantly... Out of this world burgers.
The 50/50 is their signature, but everything is very very good on the menu. Even what they call "Value menu" is amazing, just a smaller patty.
Which is not bad half the time.
You can do takeout, but why would you?

Didn't give us a drink menu, when I asked what beer they had our server snickered and said 70 bottled varieties and more on tap but never offered any other information. (No menu, no list. I guess I was just meant to name beers off the top of my head??)
The bottle I ordered was skunky (to the point that everyone at the table was complaining of the smell coming from the bottle) and when we mentioned that she told us repeatedly "I don't drink cream ale so I don't know what to tell you". She finally agreed to replace the bottle and the next one was just as skunky. She never once asked how the replacement bottle was and never even commented, just plunked it down in front of me and walked away.
Burger was dry and the bacon strips were chewy and hard as a rock. Overall a horrible experience; horrible food, horrible drinks, horrible service. I won't ever be back!

I just ordered the prime rib sandwich with poutine . Coming from someone who has been a chef for 10 years, that was the most pitiful disgrace of a sandwich I have ever seen. It came on a multigrain bun I asked them to add cheese they didn’t and it had literally nothing inside of it . It was all bread... the poutine was so terrible the fries were garbage .. that was my first time ever ordering from here and I absolutely will never come back for any reason . You guys should be ashamed to serve that to anyone ..

My Gf an I have been coming here for the past 2-3 years ... at least once a month ... we were there over the weekend An they changed everything... for the worse ... no more make your own burger ... took Mac an cheese bites off the menu an added avocado toast lol? It takes us usually 20-30 mins to come from outta town ... I can’t see us returning ... an it’s sad cause this place was amazing ....

Love the food at Chop House but won't be returning to You Need a Pita again to get one of their burgers.. fiance and I both suffered food poisoning Sunday after eating burgers from there.. :( next time we will have to drive out to the actual Chop House I guess..

This restaurant has fabulous food....and super nice staff...We went with my daughter and son-in-law....once..the staff was so accommodating, they made you feel like you had been coming in for a long time...so friendly....now it has become a weekly stop....serving size was very generous and the food (favorite sweet potato fries) delish.....they have, by far, the best burgers and fries in the city.....there may be a little wait time BUT it is worth the wait..Anything good is worth waiting for....Please... try it out....you will be hooked...

Monday 1/2 price wings. First time here today. 1/2 price lbs of wings ($5) with pint purchase ($5.25). Wings were above average. I enjoyed the buffalo flavour over the honey garlic. They have a great selection of food, beers on tap weren't the best to select from, but I couldn't complain since they had steamwhistle. The place itself was original, seems like a cool place to hang out and watch the game. I'll have to check it out again in the future and try their burgers

WOW. Now this is a restaurant you need to eat at ASAP. You can taste the freshness in everything you order. It may take longer then most restaurants but its worth it. Mount Chophouse burger is crazy!! I will eat every burger they have one by one.

Not worth it.. The second time I've been there and the food takes way too long to come. Onion rings are not very good. Way overpriced for what you get. Very disappointed and will never go back.

Bad Everything. Bad service,,,wait staff was very rude...our food took forever (50 minutes from the time we ordered till it was brought to our table)...when asked to speak to the manager, they said he's too busy to bother...had to ask two more times to speak to the manager before he even bothered to come out of the kitchen...food was more like slop on a plate...definitely won't go back...we were told by the wait staff if we wanted fast food, we should've gone to McDonald's...

Maybe the best burger I have ever had. We lucked into finding this place while out shopping, and what a find it is. Everything is made in house, and the food and service was amazing. My wife and I split a lobster poutine (fantastic), while I had the Reuben burger, and she had the 50/50 burger. Honestly, neither one of us can shut up about how fantastic those burgers were. We will be back...a lot.

Best burgers in St Catharines. Bring your appetites portions are huge. Unique burgers that you can even add a fried egg to! Best fried pickles and awesome variety of Poutine! Totally see this place featured on "you Gotta Eat Here!"

Hidden gem. I didn't know what to expect because it's part of a UNeedAPita and Nona's kitchen... This place is not only better than 'The Works' (or any other burger place in St. Catharines), but it's got some of the best food in the city! The chef clearly knows what he's doing. I shared the Lambapalooza, spinach salad, burger balls, deep fried pickles, and fries - all of them were knocked out of the park. Stop wasting your money on other burgers and eat here.
