This is undoubtedly the new No. 1 spot in Niagara. It's the type of restaurant St. Catharines has been missing. Eclectic and inventive food menu, great local craft beer selection (Niagara favourites as well as other solid beers from across Ontario, including 500ML bottle options from Fairweather in Hamilton) solid wine list, custom cocktails and very importantly, it's not boring! The atmosphere is great – loud hip hop music, chalkboard menu, copper bar...finally, a place for young people. My favourite dish so far is the Nashville fried chicken sandwich on the lunch menu - possibly the best I’ve ever had anywhere. Also offers great culinary dishes you'd previously have to go to Toronto to get – beef tartare, duck rillette, fois gras etc. Nice spot for a date or a casual meal with friends. Go here!
I hesitate to write this post because I'm afraid people will "flock" to this gem of a place. It's very tiny, with few tables, so you may have to have a craft cocktail or two made by Stuart the friendly bartender while you wait. Believe me it is worth the wait for a table, or if you're lucky a seat at the high bar and you can watch the chefs in action. The food is listed on a chalkboard so everything is unique and the menu changes often. The food was outstanding. I highly recommend the deep fried avocado topped with salmon tartar. I will return here every time I'm in St. Catharine's.
Just returned from San Diego and was looking for a place to go and ended up here. The place was so good we thought we were back in San Diego enjoying an excellent meal and craft beer. Atmosphere is great, amazing food, service, and craft beer! Found a new favourite stout from Ottawa. Can’t say enough. Well done! Our new favourite!!
