Whenever you want to have a nice Greek food this is the place to go to! Whenever I am in the Niagara Region I make sure to pass by to enjoy some good authentic Greek food. Dinner menu has a wider selection. The Bruschetta , feta fries and Calamari rings are a most try for appetizers. For lamb lovers , roast lamb dinner is full of flavor , well roasted and tastes great! If you are not a lamb lover , then Chicken a la Joe is what you should try! The roast lemon potato with the dinner is a must try! This place never failed to impress me! This time tried the Gyro - 10/10! excellent pita with of course my favorite roast potatoes on the side
Food: 5/5
Service: 5/5
The bruschetta is amazing! Every time I come here I get the lamb gyro with Greek potatoes & tatziki and I am never disappointed! Would recommend
Tasty, economical and friendly. Second visit and not the last. Favourites were the chicken souvlaki and feta bruschetta. Service was quick
Awesome food! I ordered almost everything on the menu when I came here and it was fantastic. Had to take my baklava home with me because it was such a large piece. Can't wait to go back!
Fresh, fast, friendly, frugal, filling, flavourful and feta! We were visiting the Niagara region today, and SWMBO suggested looking for a restaurant featured on YGEH. We found Joe Feta's, and it was all of the above. We had the Chicken Souvlaki Pita and Gyros Pita, each for less than $8, including one side (Greek salad, potatoes, fries, rice). Although they don't make their own pita, it was fresh and fluffy.
As for the decor, they went a bit over the top with the Greek theme, but it works.
Good, Solid Meal. Went with friends. Had the Saganaki, which was lit in front of us, it was very cool! Then a bunch of us got souvlakis, and one person got moussaka. The moussaka was delicious! The roasted potatoes that came with the entrees were also very good. The souvlakis themselves were not particularly astounding, but they had tender meat (pork or chicken, my friends got different meats), as well as full flavour. It just wasn't euphoria in my mouth, like the moussaka was!
Very very few Greek restaurants in North America can cook the kind of lamb that transports you directly to the Greek islands with every bite. This is definitely one of them. There is magic in the kitchen here. The food is authentic and exquisitely spiced and cooked. Highly recommended.
Absolutely amazing Greek food! If you love feta and onions you need to go! Chicken souvlaki is amazing and the tzatziki sauce is to die for. Always one of our family favorites. Prices are decent too.
Delicious- try the desserts!. I have had take out from here a few times and never been disappointed with the food.
I went for lunch earlier this week, and I was once again delighted at the food. For those saying that this is like mall greek food, I want to know what mall you are going to! Because the tzatziki here is just beyond anything I've ever had from any grocery store or fast food style greek place. I've even made my own with a recipe from an authentic Greek Yaya, and it did not compare to what Joe Feta's served. (sorry Yaya!)
I had the gyro with salad, and a slice of galaktoboureko for dessert. The gyro was delicious. The meat was tender and the pita was soft. As mentioned, the tzatziki was off the wall good. The salad was slightly over-dressed for my taste, but only by a little and it was still delicious. The veggies were all fresh and crisp and the feta cheese was soft and flavourful. The dressing was also nicely flavoured and complemented the meal nicely.
My lunch company had the grilled chicken with rice and salad. I had a bite of the chicken and the flavour was unmatched. Smoky, well seasoned. The rice was good too, but I have had better greek-style rice. Still, it did not disappoint.
The star of the meal was the dessert, the galaktoboureeko. Oh my GOD! It was just delicious. I wish I could go back and buy the entire tray, but my waistline and budget would not forgive me. My lunch mate had the third dessert on the list, with crushed almonds and phylo pastry and white it tasted nice it was hard to cut through.
The service was spot on, and as we chatted with the server when we were leaving, we asked about whether or not the management or owners took a cut of the tips, as this is a trend in the restaurant industry that we find unacceptable. The server told us that he keeps his tips after tipping out the busers and cooks, so we were very happy with that answer.
I will be back, probably many times.
Take out. I was feelin' like a little greek today so I ordered a dinner for 2 takeout with my roommate. The restaurant graciously altered the pork gyro into a vegetarian version for an extra dollar, but I gotta say, it was worth the extra dollar. the gyro was pheNOMenal. it even compensated for the cheap garlic bread and .lack of feta on the side salad. so good. I want two more.
