Okay, so here's a little story. My wife-to-be and I were exhausted from decorating the ol' Sooke Community Hall for our wedding all day, just wanted some food to pick up so we could eat and sleep the night before our wedding. She grabbed a burger and fries to go from here and I got a fish and chips to go. Simple pub food but I just have the most beautiful memory of sitting down to eat it and just being so in love and having the perfect meal and being so hungry and it was just the thing I needed. It was greasy but delicious and everything I needed. So special in my mind, somehow I remember it almost better than my actual wedding meal, because it was the first real break we had in the whole thing to just sit and relax and enjoy each other. And she was taking a bite of that burger and I thought she was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen.
What an absolutely amazing experience all around. The fresh seafood and fish was just the beginning... The owners were really personable, and the atmosphere was very down-to-earth. I can't say enough great things about them. We are from Alberta, and can't even dream of how good this food was!!!!!
Never had a problem...always love my food! its quick, its tastey, the prices are incredible and the waitress with the bright hair is a sweetie! Love it here :)
All around decent food, drinks, and prices. Not my absolute favourite place to go, but for pub fare, I've always had a really good experience here.
So friendly and affordable. Enjoyed their hearty and huge dinner plates with warm service. In terms of value, totally worth it.
Good standard pub food. Ate here for dinner tonight and definitely enjoyed the food. LOVE the gravy! I had the Chicken Ciabatta sandwich and it was really good. I also had a caeser (drink) and it was tasty as well. My bf had the lasagna which he said was only okay, but he loved the fries. We will be back for sure.
Great food! Great service! To bad Ponys not there anymore. Luckly nikemas still there though, the only reason why I come in now! Buffys has a great burger special, very tastey at a very good price! Great breakfast too!
BEST Food in Sooke. Best casual dinning ever and prices are reasonable - look forward to when we have dinner there. their oyster burgers are to die for and they are big. everything is perfectly balanced. They are miles ahead of everyone else in Sooke and now with new website and all the promos I only worry that everyone will go there, and there wont be any more room and a waiting list to get in.
I like it. Ya it's a corner pub in the middle of nowhere Sooke. I got a prawn burger and wings. Everything cooked well and tasty. Bill was reasonable. Service from the kitchen was slow for entrees but fast for appies Waitress was very polite and attentive. Will be back!
Such a great place! Great beer and food. Music... Is a touch early 2000's numetal.. but everything else is perfect
Excellent halibut and fries. Halibut burger grilled good taste - portion size on burger small. Did not cover the surface of bun and was fairly thin. Would go back without hesitation.
I like this pub in Sooke BC. Especially on Wednesdays when they have the Two burgers with fries or salad for $12.95. They even have great prices for their craft beers. Nice friendly service too.
I think it is great when in town we go once a week , Annie and Angela are great . They work very hard other restaurants have way more staff and are not as efficient ,as these two girls , 2 for 1 burgers are delicious all homemade as are the fries and portofino bakery buns .
Excellent Customer service and great selection . discovered my favorite wine came in a box ! I have never seen that in any other store . Friendly, comical and happy employees .
Every memeber of the staff makes you feel welcome, and as you are an old friend. The kitchen staff are simply immaculate with the food they make. As an Old Blood of Sooke, my family and I have never had a bad experience in Buffy's. It is a wonderful atmosphere for a few drinks, or a meal.
Nice little pub. I recommend visiting when it's wing night. Hot wings and blue cheese are great 👌. The wings are quite meaty and juice and a great bang for your buck!
