Had a good time with the locals. Pub food is basic good grub. Pub doesn't open till late afternoon.

Both Ray & Robin (Proprietors) have been very welcoming, hospitable & helpful both times I stayed here. The first time being 4ish yrs ago & again now (Sept 5-7) They also gave me a great deal on the room when I encountered a problem & had to stay a couple extra days. The water here is arguably the very best I've ever encountered. I wouldn't hesitate to strongly recommend to anyone that the Whales Rub Pubis an excellent place to stay in Sointula *****

Funky pub with all sorts of logging and fishing memorabilia on the walls. Basic food. Smoking on veranda still allowed.

There is very friendly staff, beautiful peaceful ocean views from the deck - esp as the sun sets, & excellent food.
