I went here last night with a friend, I had been meaning to check out this Thai restaurant as I've been to the other two. This one beat out the other two for me with quite a margin. Food arrived quickly, with beautiful presentation, and great portion sizes. I really wish I had taken pictures, but that gives me a reason to go back other than to enjoy the great food again 😀

Chon Tong, you’re crazy. For a late dinner tonight I ordered the crispy duck, the prawn wonton, and the prawn soup (hot).
I am simply floored. The crispy duck? Are you silly? We’re talking tender duck, breaded and deep fried, served on a bed of perfectly charred kale with JUST the right amount of sauce. I eat a lot of duck, I’ve never thought to bread it. Turns out I’m a fool.
The wontons? Literal whole prawns are tucked into their little wonton blankets and deep fried, that’s insane. No shredded nonsense here. It’s a prawn. A beautifully marinated prawn. Ready for your mouth.
The plum sauce? Not store bought, I’d wager my firstborn that they make the plum sauce in house. Nobody told me. It was like opening a Christmas present the night before to dip into that.
My prawn soup? The Tom Yum Something? Delicate. Balanced. Spiced. Approachable. Dynamic. Perhaps even healing, I’m not a doctor.
Thank you Chon Tong. You did a good thing.
I lived in Thailand for 9 years and ever since I moved here I’ve been struggling to find food that tastes authentic. Been trying Thai food everywhere and finally found what I’ve been missing!! This is the real deal! ขอบคุณมาก
After reading the reviews, my wife and I decided to order some food for take out to dine out by the ocean. We usually frequent another Thai place, but wanted to check out this place. I liked that the restaurant was in a residential neighbourhood. Dining in was not an option right now, due to COVID-19, however, they took our order at the front door. There is also an option to order online. We started with A5 Chicken Rolls @ $8.50.. Wrapped rice paper with fresh lettuce, carrot, cucumber, Thai basil, vermicelli and chicken served with home made mint green sauce. The mint sauce was delicious, not spicy and oh so refreshing. I'm used to eating rolls with peanut sauce, but the mint sauce was great too! We also had two orders of N3 PAD SEE EW @ $13 each! We were able to choose from Beef, Chicken, Pork or Tofu. We both chose Chicken. It came with stir fried broad rice noodle with meat, egg, gailan, carrot, baby corn and broccoli. Tasty!
PROS: Very generous portions, served fresh and hot! Made our order in 20 minutes after arriving at their door. Service was friendly!
CONS: My wife and I would have prefered more sauce, but it was very delicious. Perhaps I will ask for some more home made mint green sauce to the order, or maybe peanut sauce if they have it.
This is worth checking out for sure. We will return again when we are in Sidney.
Really good! We got take out here for our Christmas dinner and it was 10/10. We tried the spring rolls, pad Thai, sweet and sour chicken, and tom yum soup. everything was delicious, best Thai in Sidney (much better than sabhai which isn't authentic at all)
Great taste and very generous portion! We had their papaya salad and stirred fried flat noodle(pad see ew). Their salad was very refreshing and prawns were perfectly cooked and had their “intestine” cleaned out prior cooking. Very thoughtful. Will def return next time.
Since covid, the restaurant only has take-out, including delivery. There is a fairly large menu and the portions are quite decent,
I couldn’t ask for a more complete flavour experience. Your cooking, food freshness and quality is peerless. Thank you deeply for sharing your remarkable talent with us.
Fantastic first experience! I will (probably) upgrade review to five stars after trying a few more meals. My wife and I usually split meals because of serving size; you definitely can split the Pad Thai.
We will certainly be returning. I only spoke with one person at the restaurant and she was incredibly happy, friendly and helpful. I highly recommend you try them out.
Good, but could be better. We ordered take out from here for the first time today. Typically we go to Sabhai Thai and like it quite a bit but we saw the great reviews and wanted to give this place a shot.
The food was well presented and the portions were definitely great for what it cost. That said, the flavor was a little lacking. The Phad Thai seemed just a little bland to me and the Drunken Noodles could have used a little more flavor as well. That said, it was still good and great value.
The staff were really friendly as well. I would like to go back and try dining in.
