Spitfire ...we arrived just before closing on a friday night. The friday of a long weekend.. Your staff welcomed us in...all 11 of us! We were served by happy people and greeted with smiles. We felt terrible being those last minute people, we offered to leave...but your assured us no problem. Thank you for the fast friendly service!! The food was fantastic!! We will definatly be back at a more appropriate time.

Love the aviation atmosphere and the close proximity to the airport to enjoy a good lunch or dinner before or after a flight. Or for just good food.

Great spot for casual fare. Situated right at the airport, where you can watch the planes, takeoff and land while you’re enjoying your food. Food was delicious, service was terrific, and the atmosphere was friendly. Four of us enjoyed our meals of haddock burger, blackened chicken, and the special of the day - roast beef with Yorkshire pudding. Portions are a fair size. Reservations recommended and lots of free parking

I've visited the Spitfire Grill many times, and, always, I've been quite pleased. Food was plentiful and tasty. I shared a meatloaf plate with my wife, and there was enough for both of us. The mashed potatoes (real potatoes!) Melted in my mouth and were covered with a rich beefy tasting gravy. The meatloaf reminded me of my Mom's Sunday creations. The server explained the offerings to us clearly and checked on us several times. Overall, we enjoyed our evening and will return for another tasty experience soon. I highly recommend the restaurant.

We enjoyed a lunch at the Spitfire Grill. My 1st time and I was pleasantly surprised. Easy going atmosphere, good Canadian food. I had the Reuben sandwich with lovely fresh, crisp salad. My husband had a cheeseburger. Great, crispy fries too! Our waitress was pleasant and efficient. We will definitely take a drive and have a meal there again.

You know it's great place to eat when it's packed and you're the only non local person in the place. Good food at decent prices with friendly, quick service. And they have decaf coffee. Blackened salmon sandwich with beef barley soup. Ribs with pasta marina Lemon Merange Pie Sticky Toffee Pudding Cake A 20 minute stroll from the Victoria airport down walking paths will get you here.

This was an excellent restaurant that was basically on the runway at the airport. They had Sunday roast. It was delicious and very reasonably priced.

I would compare the Spitfire Grill to any excellent local restaurant. The prices and quality of food was great. Coffee was good for sure. The only unfortunate thing was that when I asked for some fruit, yogurt, and granola, the did not have any granola. If I was originally told they didn’t have any available I would have switched my order. I really liked the location, it definitely in a unique spot. I have only tried their breakfast! Taste: Good Presentation: excellent Service: Good Uniqueness: Alright

Do not laugh I am a long time resident and have never been to Spitfire Grill before ever lol 🙃 .... Wow my lost .. What a lovely restaurant so near to airport that opens up so many options. You can go and not be traveling to airport or go before going to airport. It was Sunday and they have a Giant Yorkshire pudding with Roast beef , mashed potatoes , veg and gravey all on the Yorkshire for $19 YES $19 dollars 💸. The staff are wonderful, quick service, delicious food. Do yourself a favor and check it out .

We were seated right away, and all the staff we encountered were friendly and polite. The food was good and hot and was delivered in a timely manner. They have a special each day and my husband had the Monday Meatloaf and he was very pleased.

Enjoyed our visit here. Came with a large group including a number of young kids and they were very accommodating. Food was above average and reasonably priced. Staff was friendly and the view is one of a kind, very close to the runway of the airport. Only complaint was the coffee wasn't very good, it was pretty watered down. Otherwise I had a great time, I would come back.

Food was awesome! Unfortunately they were understaffed and the main server was super stressed out and was not handling it well. She wasn't rude, but had such a negative tone to customers coming in, that I felt bad for coming in to eat. Again, great food!

Great location next to the small airport. The window are open to the airport on the entire airport side. Nice staff and food. Good selection of beers and ciders. Outside seating with runway sounds and even better views.

Excellent views, food and above excellent service. Had the liver and onions, the best I've had in years. Fries were tasty and crispy. Coffee was exceptional and surprisingly good. First time visiting this place. Fabulous service by Naeve with her charming old country accent. She's awesome and likes her work. Thank you everyone, we will be back.

If you hate good food and exceptional table staff be sure to steer clear of the Spitfire Grill. And that view?! Don’t get us started… Who wants to sit and watch and watch the air craft take off and land in a beautiful aviation themed venue. Gross right? Said no one EVER… Spitfire Grill has quickly become one our favorite dining spots when out in Sidney. For us it has it all. The menu has a great selection of hearty plates that will sure to please even the picky eaters. The portions are large and the prices are competitive, in fact the prices are pretty good for the quality. The French onion soup was cheesy and delicious and under $10 and big enough to be a meal paired with a baby salad. The last time we went for dinner, on a Saturday, we were told right away that they were really busy with a couple of very large tables so dinner would be a bit more of a wait than usual. Love that they were just honest with us so that we had the choice to stay or go before drinks were poured. We, of course, opted to stay. Why wouldn’t we when we are greeted with a great big smile, a warm welcome and a heads up for potential wait time. Yeah we’ll give our business to a place like that anytime. So we sat and had some delightful conversation with our table mates and watched the Westjet planes take off and land. We played the “wonder where it’s going” game – The restaurant version of the driving game “I spy.” Anyways, hats off to the Spitfire Grill for having it all and making us want to come back for more. See you soon. Doug and Shannon

Wonderful little spot on the airport with delightful views of planes taking off and landing, if you are fortunate enough to grab a window seat. Very busy restaurant with a friendly efficient staff who are quite able to handle the mixture of airport personal, locals and tourists. I ordered the "special spitfire" burger and it was excellent in taste and very well presented. I'd recommend this restaurant to anyone and especially airplane buffs who will enjoy the ample display of airplane models and other artifacts hanging off the wall and ceiling.
