“PITA PIT”
Recently got chance to visit this outlet on my visit to Sault Ste Marie.
It was a public holiday (Victoria Day) and almost everything was closed and couldn’t get anything and then luckily we found this outlet and it was really a savior. The staff were courteous and really helpful in preparing my order and the store was clean.
I love this place. The staff are always so nice and the lady that was working offered to help bring my food to the car as I had my hands full. She is always so sweet and does such a good job making everyone feel welcome. The food is always really good also. Thank you!
The food at Pita Pit is always delicious no matter what is ordered, but it’s the service at this particular location that really makes the experience wonderful.
The staff here are always pleasant even if the encounters are brief - whether it be remembering your name each visit or letting you know details about your order.
I’m immensely grateful that I can stop here on my lunches and always feel welcomed by the wonderful staff.
Thank you for all that you do!
Great choice for diabetics. Tuna salad with tzatziki. Quick and friendly service.
Pita Pit is a great take out choice for enjoying your food near Sault Ste Marie’s beautiful waterfront.
Amazing fresh food. Tara is THE BEST addition to their staff. My food and the store is not the same without her. So kind, and so considerate to allergies and preferences. Remembers peoples orders and names. Really makes such an improvement on my ordering experience.
I absolutely adore this store! I not only find the quality & value of the food excellent but above all else the ladies there treat me with respect and dignity.I am disabled but they treat me like an old friend and are very helpful and patient.
So happy they deliver it was the best pita i have ever had!
We had two salads and a frozen yogurt. Everything was fresh and delicious. They gave us extra cutlery without hesitation (other restaurant forgot the forks and we were staying in the hotel). Service was not the fastest but it was the end of the day and the ladies were friendly.
For quick downtown and healthy option, this place is good. Daytime or night. They are open late some nights of the week. The noon rush can cause you some delays if getting your meal quickly is important. Adjust your arrival by 15 to 20 minutes around noon to avoid the rush. Gluten free and other sensitivity options available. Staff seems knowledgeable in that regard.
We have been getting different sorts of pitas from here, for quite a few years, now. Whenever we go up to town, and it's a nice day to sit at a bench, to watch the activity on the St. Mary's River, while having lunch (we are summer regulars to this area), it's the Pita Pit, on Queen Street, Sault Ste Marie, that gets our attention. It's clean, with a good washroom, the staff is always friendly, and you know, by the steady stream of customers, that you are on to something. We try different pita offerings. I like some better than others, but I assume that this is because of my own tastes. But, to enjoy this pita, sitting at the boardwalk, near the Roberta Bondar tent, on a warm summer day, watching the Great Lakes freighters going through the locks, and being greeted by such nice people, as they walk, jog, bicycle, walk their dogs (am I missing anything), is an experience worth having.
