This is a very simple restaurant with a small-town feel. They have both a Chinese and Canadian menu. I had the chicken lō mein, which was tasty and cheap. My one partner had the veal cutlet - decent and, again, simple. My other partner had the beef chow mein, which he seemed to enjoy. Great place if you don’t want frills and are hankering to hang with some boomers. *CASH ONLY*
Just like a small town cafe....food is good and the waitress always makes you feel welcome, we have been there many times and never had a bad meal...nice to have a good restaurant in our community:)
Has a trusty soup and sandwich ! Quick service and homey feeling ! Also have tasty chow mein and lo mein! Keep in mind though they are not open Monday's !
Darn Good Food. It sure ain't fancy...It ain't Mel's......but it's darn close......and maybe better(they do Asian too!!) MRR is a "Diner" in a strip mall. Great comfort food (And HEAPING plates of Canadian 'Chinese' food) for a hell of a price.
Just like a small town diner! The breakfasts are great!! I've only had breakfasts and loved them all dozen times.
RETURNED OFTEN. Well, as another person said, CASH only at this place and it is fairly small with maybe 15 or so tables, BUT, I was told about it and the portion sizes so I tried and have returned often while I am in town. The dollar per quantity amount is awesome as quite often even I go away full for about $10.00. My preference is the Shrimp LoMein rather than the Chow Mein we all are more familiar with. The service can be a bit slow as basically one young lady trying to look after all the customers, but rarely is there much of a delay in getting Your meal. Parking is good and even room on the street for my semi and having been there a few times, I walk in after doing laundry next door and the server lady remembers me and my order without any mixups. Great Breakfasts ( Canadian food) and excellent Chinese for either dine in or take out. Give it a try and quite sure You will be pleasantly surprized.
Yummy. I love the spicy Shanghai noodles here. So good! Usually pretty busy with only one waitress. Used to be pretty grungy, but they've recently renovated (haven't checked it out yet).
They also only take cash so you have to be prepared for that.
