I highly recommend Chau Anns. Super friendly Staff, Great home cooked breakfasts, and some of the best Chinese food I've ever had. Buffet is always fresh and full of great options.
I'm hooked.. The first time I went I have to admit I was a bit unused to it. But after going regularly I don't know how I ever did without such a good well rounded breakfast for 5$. They work hard to make good food for a reasonable price.
Every Saturday morning. . . . and often during the week too. Good solid bacon and eggs at a very reasonable cost.
But the real draw are Chau Ann, Chantel and Emily. They're all . . . well, just sweet.
The coffee ain't bad either.
Simply amazing.. Chau Ann's is a great place if you're in a rush, looking for quick food, or if you're just in the mood for excellent food. The owners are great, really nice and always making sure their food is made with the utmost care and attention.
The buffet is always amazing and stocked with a wide selection of food. A couple trips up and you'll definitely be wishing you had saved more room before you arrived.
If you're not in the buffet mood there is still a huge selection of healthy and delicious options on the menu that are prepared quickly. Of course, breakfast is always a favorite but lunch is amazing too!

Home cooking!. Great breakfast ($4.75 - $6) for fantastic breakfast specials.
What else can I say? The service itself is great, the place is nice and normally ambient with the radio always on. I like to read a newspaper while I'm there, or go with some friends for a good breakfast. They're open 7 days a week for breakfast up until 11:30AM on weekdays, and 12:30PM on weekends. A lot longer than most other restaurants. Breakfast is actually all day, but to get the specials, you need to come in before then. If you do come in for the afternoon, breakfast is still under $7-8 - waaaaay cheaper than Denny's which is right by this restaurant.
For lunch, they have a buffet on weekdays and combination specials for weekends. Both are fantastic, great selection in the menu, and of course, the wonton soup is THE BEST I've ever had in Saskatoon...actually anywhere else--Peru, Ecuador, Toronto, Calgary. Just fantastic soup, it's so flavourful!
All in all, great restaurant, family owned, extremely clean, and great place for groups. Seems to get regular groups in every weekend as well as random groups from out of town such as sports teams that are staying at the Travellodge or Sandman Hotel that don't want to eat at Dennys (waaay too expensive).
More like Chau Down!. These are a few of my favorite things:
1) BEST soup in Saskatoon - especially the Deluxe Wonton. Ann makes it fresh everyday and it is the greatest stock in the world. She makes it more like an authentic pho broth than a typical wonton soup. Mmmmm!
2) Her pancakes would put Betty Crocker to shame!
3) The weekday buffet has high turnover of food so it's fresh and a lot cheaper than other places in the area.
This is my family's secret breakfast spot on weekends, and since it's so close to the airport we have made it our pre and post-pickup joint. The owner's are very sweet as well and the server's are always happy - that says a lot!
